This may not be for here but I have a huge hypothetical question (that may honestly be the most awesome thing my brain has ever come up with) Could you combine the use of the Eight Celestial gates with Tsunade's final form regeneration technique, and thusly survive the use of the eighth gate? You would still be pretty ******** up afterwards but the alive and capable of getting treatment is kind of a huge deal when you talk about that much power. Now my initial thought was no because the eight gates release all your stored up chakra which is essentially your life force. Normal ninja techs only use the extra chakra. Now here me out because this is where it gets hard to follow. Tsunades seal creates another area of stored chakra out of whatever isn't used over a long period of time. Essentially creating a ninth gate meant solely for healing. So presumably this would not detract from the total chakra energy. Now in the manga we have witnessed gay recovering from the use of the 7th gate after a short while with some off screen medical treatment. And then he's just as ready to go for another round. Here's the what we don't know column and have to decide for ourselves. Dose the use of the eight gates subtract from your life span like the use of tsunade's technique is said to in the manga. I would like to note that a yes or no on this question is nowhere to be found in all my searching of Narutopedia and even going back into the relevant manga chapters.
