Well he was certainly quite the gentleman, grey dress pants coupled with a white button up adorned his form, light shades contrasting pleasantly with his natural tones. The collar stuck up slightly, buttons joining only to his solar plexus. Even a tailored blaiser.. On him it looked casual, effortless. He had no one to please, even. It was very different than the grandiosity of some wandering vagabonds that searched the city streets for their next ticket to paradise or meal. Oh, yes. He was different.
Twix wasn't one to get entangled in the affairs of others, or even find her self mildly attracted to others but he was charming and had an air of respect, of polished sanctity. "The redheaded feral back there can give you one, or even me, that is if she is busy. Be warned though, it will be a rank up mission so be sure that you are ready."
She offered an small smile.
"Good luck."
The elven woman doubted that he'd need it.

Maximilian Wingates ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Draconian - Paladin The Lecherous Shining Knight ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ The response given by her was rather pleasant. He would not have to seek someone far away from where he was after having learned the techniques that could be necessary to him. Going after the "redheaded feral" as she said, would allow him to obtain the mission she mentioned. Or even Twix herself. The his expression would be rather easy to understand if one was to look at his smirk. He was rather interested in this rank up mission, and receiving it from this instructor did not sound like a bad idea in his mind. Interested? Yes he was. In the mission or the instructor? Both, but it was not like he was going to try and test his luck with her just because of how she looked and acted on their first meeting. "I will gladly come back to you once I learn what I must as you instructed. I will be looking forward to that rank up mission. Now if you excuse me, I'll be on my way." he said and was about to leave after finishing that last sentence, when she once again attracted his attention by wishing him good luck. "Thank you." he turned to face her again for a moment as he thanked her and proceeded to the classroom. ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

hamnote This heavenly figure, purest embodiment of sin and emotion, stole an acknowledging smile. He didn’t struggle, stumble, clear his raspy throat. The words tumbled over fresh lacerations, lips barely able to keep up with the torrent. He was smooth, real smooth. The gesture struck her like a bolt of lightning, and before she had a chance to think nonchalant, he was already gone. Off to do his training. He would be back, she had this feeling.
In the meantime, Twix settled herself behind a desk and continued filing paperwork, calling to get the massive hole in the wall fixed, some landscaping done- of course this was just water elementalist that would cover up the ash and brittle bone. Everything would be just as it was, only newer and clean.

Vincent Morningstar
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
☦ After a few moments a particular trainee got out of hand and a stone boulder hit Vincent in the back of the head. Sighing in aggravation he stood up all the way and turned to face the trainee. Instead of an apology reaching him from this person he got laughter. The past has always taught us one thing that is always constant through the ages. This single fact of life is that history itself is written by the victor. This is true beyond all belief and most of them write history to their favor. Playing the past to where they were the innocent or misunderstood group until they triumphed. This however doesn't count for one of the first Reaper families. The first guardian family ever in existence within the Reaper Society didn't even care about hiding their past. In all reality instead they were proud of everything that had occurred. Whether it was good or bad it was an experience they held and it was life. They lived not regretting one damned thing and this remains true to this day with other family members. Now we shall begin the journey along the immense history of this family's trials to the top.
Starting back when the Reaper Society consisted nothing more of a small village is when this group rose to fame. This was when they first began to make their name known back then. When the society was in chaos and everything was ready for the taking. The Reapers of this particular village were led by none other than Vincent's father, Lucian Morningstar, two thousand long years ago. This group of warriors did what ever it took to get what they wanted. No matter what the cost to even their own souls they accomplished any goals they set out to complete. Every task, objective, mission, and so on that Lucian handed out to the many warrior's of this group was completed without fail.
At first their task was to clear out one area of all crime and corruption. Not for the benefit of the area but rather so they could call the area theirs. That they could lay down the law in their own region. Some place where they didn't have to wander from area to area in fear for their women and children. As most of the warriors in the Reapers had children and such with them. With the region being full of criminals they grew tired of it. Which leads them to ally themselves with the brilliant mind of Lucian Morningstar. The single soul who devised a way to make everyone safe for once. Though his methods were severe to the point of being called a dictator he always stood his ground.
However pure all of their intentions were the actions behind them were monsterous. Sweeping across the area that they wished to have they leveled all of the vile criminals. Those who did not appreciate life in the slightest. Whether they be man or woman they were swept up with such a massive force that they never had any chance before the battle. The region was crushed within a matter of days. Everyone that stood up against them perished due to their overwhelming numbers. Every necromancer and shadow knight was slaughtered without hesitation Lucian didn't care in the slightest who they were. In his eyes if they stood against him they were all guilty. Even the children were not safe if they fought against his massive group of warriors. They managed to claim the region by force within five days of non stop fighting.
By killing all who stood in their way regardless of who they were they set the tone of the group they were in. They let everyone know across the other regions that they were not to be trifled with. That if you did not value life they would be there to haunt you forever. Yet there were still foolish criminals and murderers who wanted to test their might. The one thing that they did not admit within the history was the fact they let all those who surrendered not only live... but live within their protection of the Reapers. Lucian was a hated man by many outside of the village for what he did. Yet he was the only one willing to take the risk back then and to do what he thought was right. He was also the only person back then who took responsibility for his actions. Something that he was looked down upon at first. However as time went by within the region he became loved.
Even those who lost family to his forces understood what he did and why their family was killed. Realizing that they were evil and that they were the problem in the region they began to love Lucian. After another month of fighting with outside districts things seemed to calm down. The Reapers began to clean up the district and build. Making the region look gorgeous compared to the other areas. On the level of being a heavenly almost. Then as Lucian admitted why he wanted to do all of this within the first place... He revealed his wife, Diana Morningstar, was with child. Yet no one bore him any ill will for such thing. Because in the long run he made the region safe for everyone who was an innocent and wanted a peaceful place to be.
Soon after he declared his wife with child this sent the other regions into an uproar. Especially those with the survivors of the previous attacks. Finding this as their way to exact revenge they plotted to kill his wife before his eyes. Like most great leaders however... Lucian had spies everywhere to direct intelligence to him. Hearing of this plot he felt nothing but hate for the other districts. Full of cowards to sit there and want to harm an innocent woman, who was with child none the less. When they invaded the came from the south from the only gate that was lightly guarded. What they found would bewilder any soul who knew of that day or even saw the sight that they did.
Lucian stood alone in front of the gate with dozens of the other attacks impaled. As their lifeless corpses were still slowly sliding down the spears pinned to the ground he stood triumphantly. Bearing nothing but a single claymore and sword he simply stared the attackers down. Daring a single one of them to take a step towards him. To take a step towards his district and harm the ones he cares for and loves. As such a person did he unsheathed his longsword with a quick motion at such a blinding speed it seemed as if nothing happened. However the same moment as he placed the sword back where it belonged the man fell lifeless to the ground and many stared at him. Fear began to grip their souls as they began to realize what they had gotten themselves into.
As many more rushed into battle they were all bestowed the same fate. A blinding quick strike that ended their lifes just as soon as they approached. Yet their forces did not run yet. As the Reapers wanted to rush through the gate to get involved Lucian stopped them. In his eyes this was only his fight as they threatened the one thing he ever held closer than his own God. It was when the main force all rushed at once that he plunged his sword into the ground then drew his claymore. Wielding it with both hands he let out a slow breath with this eyes closed. The enemy was laughing as they charged him believing him to be a dead man already.
What they didn't know was that Lucian had sealed their fate the moment they declared his wife to be murdered. It was true that he himself had killed women and children in his past. However they stood in his way and tried to kill his friends and wife. He had never killed someone that didn't try to harm the people that he cares about. Every single person the Reapers put down required death due to their actions. His wife had nothing to do with any of that. She was merely caught in the crossfire because they wanted revenge. This was something that Lucian was never going to let slide when he first heard news of this.
This was the single moment that he was going to show the entire region just what he was made of. This was going to be the moment that his enemy understood to never underestimate him again. To never even allow them to gain another thought about attacking the ones he loved. Especially his beloved wife whom he promised his life to. Taking in a slow and deep breath he let it out just as slowly while the enemy was within striking distance of him. Opening his eyes some of the enemy were shocked as they were glowing a brilliant crimson color as well as his claymore instantly changing appearance. Others did not care in the abnormality of his eyes nor weapon. However both of them were about to be bestowed the same fate.
Lifting up his massive claymore he struck downwards with tremendous force. Energy spewed from the weapon to the point of being the size of a four floored building. Taking out an entire section of warriors who intended to harm his wife and child. Switching his grip upon his weapon he swung the great blade sideways and energy was flung from the blade yet again engulfing the rest of the warriors standing before him. Two were left alive and they were both trembling with fear at the mere sight of Lucian. Sheathing his odd claymore he looked to them and spoke firmly. "Return to your masters and tell them of the fate that they will undergo if they decide to attack ever again." He spoke softly yet with such ferocity within his voice.
The men bowed to Lucian and ran away just as quickly as they had came. Lucian let them live however it was going to be another story if they lived after reporting the news to their master. However like Lucian told them their master never even thought of attacking the region or the Reapers. In fact it had truly become a safe haven for those that wish to remain in peace. Many had come to the region at this point to finally develop a peaceful life they've always wanted. This had turned into the point to where they began to expand in territory. Yet not a single person opposed them. Instead they asked if they could join them so that they could remain in the same place.
Lucian kept his promises to every single person that wished to remain in the same place. He even built them better homes and cleaned up the streets within the districts. Lucian had stepped up in being a leader as well as a husband. He began to no longer worry about such things like fighting others. Instead he allowed others to fight for him if needed as they had always suggested to him. So that way they would never have to worry about losing their leader. However Lucian being himself would spar with the best swordsmen once in a while to show them he was still as good as the day he first started the Reaper. Time began to fly by rapidly within the districts as peace began to reign over every single one of them.
Days turned into weeks, weeks into months and as nine months came along. The soul behind this story was finally born. The light of the Reapers had finally been revealed to all. Upon her birth the Reapers did something completely out of character. They started a vote within the districts to allow the Morningstar to be titled as guardians within the Reaper Society. To establish some sort of leadership to direct them to something more than living out eternity in a routine. The vote led to a surprise to the Morningstar family as they hadn't a clue it was even going on. The vote was a huge success naming the first guardian family ever as the Morningstar.
The vampire was still laughing until there was another fluctuation within Vincent's energy. His eyes still crimson the vampire eventually began to wind down. Fear gripped the Vampire from a simple stare as he realized something. He knew what Vincent was. He knew in the eyes of his species things such as a vampire are an abomination. The vampire began to back away slowly utnil he was able to walk safely to another area. He looked to the red head woman and then looked into her eyes. His eyes began to shift back to their normal gold tone as he spoke. "I need a mission to go on." He spoke honestly as he wanted to reach the next rank as soon as possible. ✯

"Great."
He kept a harsh, lingering stare on her but the Feral didn't care. You grow accustomed to it after awhile. 'Freak', 'That undead thing', 'Zombie girl',...they were all the same. A monotony of ignorant bullshit that plagued every other cretin in this god forsaken city like the filth on the sidewalks. Blissfully ignorant bastards. The rattle of a drawer, metal rails scraping, contents clattering in chaotic cacophony. Brooding, her teeth would split the slick crevice of pastel lips, pierced knuckles dry with onyx scabs braced against the top of the cabinet and propelled it open. Mental gears screeched to a halt, a pariah abruptly disrupting their progress in the form of her resident trainee. "Go to the Nevan Gate. From there you will go outside it but do not venture any further than the surrounding area. From there, kill 12 CHARLIES and return to me."
An unnatural c**k of her head, abrasive smile stretching bloodless lips taught across neat rows of teeth, for she was pristine. In appearance if not in manners.
"If you die, nice meeting you."
The sadness took the edge from her words in a cobra strike, leaving her shamed… though she’d never admit it.

Intelligent Creative Genius
The mechanist had busied himself with another cigarette, and cleaning R.E.X.'s armor from their long journey. Intelligent brown eyes observed the place silently as he slowly got a feel for it. It wasn't very hard to tell who was in command; she was the paler looking woman with eyes the color of rusted metal, who everybody found necessary to bug every two seconds. Ironically, he realized he was probably going to be one of those people. sighing and taking a drag from his marlboro, the mechanist rose from his seated crouch and made his way over to the fiery redheaded feral when it looked like she had finally stopped being bombarded. "Hey Red," He began, referring to the woman's hair color ironically, since he was completely ignorant as to what her name was. "The name's Raziel, nice to meet you. I'm kinda new around here... and was hoping you could point me in the direction of an adept mission." He asked, offering the woman a drag from his cigarette. Some people considered them harmful, but... it couldn't really hurt her could it? How could the toxins harm a woman that has no valid living cells to harm?

Maximilian Wingates ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Draconian - Paladin The Lecherous Shining Knight ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ While Maximilian headed towards the classroom, he did not waste his time with small talk. There was nobody on the way there that caught his attention, nobody who was interesting. But even if there was someone, he would probably hold his instincts in order to fulfill his current task. Stepping into the classroom, the man closed the door behind him. The air inside that classroom was completely different from what he expected. Instead of a teacher being there to teach theoretical lessons, the people inside were burying their faces into the books they held. Maybe he could give that a try... But it was not his style so he brushed off that thought without hesitation. Certainly, he would have to learn from the books, but he would put the theory to practice right away. With that in mind he went to the back of the classroom, where a huge bookcase kept the material that could teach probably every single being of Nocturne something. However, he did not need all of that knowledge. He only had to learn the lowest techniques of the lowest ranks, E and D, to be given the mission that would make him graduate from being a trainee. And that was what he did. He took three books, one for paladins, one for draconians and one that possessed the teaching for elemental abilities. From that third book he only needed what concerned his own element, fire.
As soon as the books were in his hands, he walked out of the classroom and proceeded to move out of the building. Heading towards one of the open training areas that were not crowded. It was there that he would initiate his learning and practice. Placing two of the three books on the floor, he opened the book with techniques for Paladins on the page where the initial and most basic ability for his class was found. The ability to Sense Evil, which was also the name of the technique. 'So I use my aura to detect evil... Very interesting for someone who lives in Luimira.' he though as he started to emit the aura as described by the book. That was his very first attempt to learn it, and it felt as if he was a natural for that kind of thing. It was exactly as the book described. Even though the aura did not bounce back, like a sonar, the disturbances that the evil energies caused allowed him to detect the theoretical enemies of his class. [Sense Evil Learned]
The paladin thought it was better to not use that ability for too long, as he could probably be disturbing the evil ones that were in the same compound. And so he moved on to the next ability. Having successfully learned how to sense evil, he was now capable of learning the ability to see evil and track the aura evil beings emanate. 'Very interesting, with this I'll be able to keep track of some people from the District.' he thought as this technique was very interesting. Immediately after that, having read the complete description and instructions, he focused his energy on his eyes. For a moment he closed his eyes. When he opened them, his eyes were emanating a holy light and he was capable of seeing the tracks that led to the evil beings that had crossed that area and tainted the ground they walked on. 'Extremely useful.' he thought to himself as he deactivated the ability. [Clarity Learned]
He was going to skip one, for it needed him to have killed an opponent in a fight. Since that was not something he had ever done, Maximilian proceeded to the next technique. March of the Crusader, as it was named. The Paladin would imbue his feet with holy energy and, as he walked, his feet would leave glowing footprints on the floor. That holy energy marked the ground acted as a ward that debilitated unholy creatures who approached it. Max thought it was a rather simple technique and he managed to perform it with ease, leaving glowing footprints on the ground as he walked around the training grounds. [March of the Crusader Learned]
Maximilian finally reached the next level of Paladin techniques. The first of the D Ranked techniques that he was going to learn was Hand of Illumination. It was a rather simple and inoffensive technique. As he read the description, he wondered if he would ever require such thing but decided to learn how to do it anyway. Using his energy, he followed the instructions contained in the book and started to emit a holy light with his hand. It would come in handy if he ever went to dark places without any source of light. Apparently, he was also capable of shooting that light off his hand, but he judged that to be something he could test some other time. He had already learned it so he did not want to waste much of his time with something so simple. Yet, he wondered how exactly he would be able to shoot this light off his hand. Pointing his hand to the sky, he tried to manipulate the light on his hand for it to be shot upwards. His first attempt did not work out very well, as the light remained on his hand, but on the second try he managed to send a sphere of light into the sky. [Hand of Illumination Learned]
The next technique was indeed something more useful than the first of the D Ranked ones. 'A shield of light that is as hard as iron... looks like I will not need to spend money on shields.' he thought and chuckled. Certainly sometimes it would not be wise to spend his energy to create a shield if he had one to use, but for emergency cases he would be able to defend even if he had not bought one. Even if using a shield was not much of his style, he knew how useful one could be. Max wondered if there were any tricks to maintain the shield for longer periods, but the book did not mention such thing. The time it could last was mentioned in its description, but he hoped that someday he would be able to extend it somehow. At this moment though, he did not waste his time searching for any methods. Max simply... gathered the energy required to manifest the shield of holy energy by his forearm. He even tested it against his own hand and could get the idea of how hard it was. [Shield of Light Learned]
Moving on to the next technique described in the book, Maximilian read its name. 'Armor of Light? Is it the same as the shield?' he wondered, but as his eyes found the description of the technique, he found out that this ability was better but at the same time worse than the shield of light. The good side was that the armor could defend against any ability of C Rank or inferior, as long as it is an attack with unholy properties. The bad side was that it did not work well against normal attacks, and probably against elemental ones. But then again, it did not spend much energy, the bad and good points were balanced and Max chose to learn it. Starting his practice, he attempted and succeeded in his first try. A golden colored armor that shined brightly covered his body as if he was wearing an armor of pure gold. All that glow did not suit him very well though, so he removed the effects of the armor as soon as he had the confirmation that it worked. [Armor of Light Learned]
Shifting to the next page, the very first ability had a name that he heard many times when he was still aiming to become a paladin. "Holy Light." he uttered. It was an ability that allowed the paladin to produce a wound that hinders the regenerative abilities of unholy creatures, such as the undead, demons, necromancers and others. It was something that could be used with almost every weapon, as long as it is capable of piercing or cutting through the flesh of one's opponent. Once the wound is created, the creature will have trouble healing it even if it is known for its healing powers. That was one of the techniques that Max did not even need to wonder if he could perform. He had seen it countless times, even though the technique itself had escaped his thoughts when he started reading the book, as soon as he saw its names he could remember how the paladins he met performed it. Maximilian unsheathed his bronze long sword, holding it with his right hand as the left one held the book. Making use of his energy he coated the blade in a golden, holy light, that made it clear he was successful. He looked at the shining blade and smirked, before sheathing it. [Holy Light Learned]
Something caught Maximilian's attention though. Ever since he had become a paladin, he noticed that the few times he had to unsheathe his blade it had a particular glow, but he never knew why. Now that he was reading the book of abilities, he noticed one that was not actually a technique he controlled, but something that was granted to him as a blessing. 'The Righteous Blade...' he said it in his thoughts. That was how the blessing was called. Apparently every paladin had such ability, if the paladin remained true to his or her ideal of promoting peace over violence. Despite his sinful habit of satiating his carnal desires, he was not violent. What he did was simply spread his love, in a way that those who made a chastity vow were unable to. And that was far from being something that instigates hatred or violence. At least that he knew, Max doesn't keep his eyes on anyone's ring finger. Regardless, his sword was rarely ever drawn, most of the time it was to polish or clean it to avoid any rust or dust from gathering. The blade he had was indeed righteous. [Blessing: Righteous Blade Learned]
The next technique in the book was one that allowed the paladin to endure powerful attacks without being sent flying. It was truly an important technique for one who desired to be able to hold his or her ground no matter how powerful the opponent may be. Maximilian decided to give it a try. The drawbacks of using such technique did not worry him. The book warned him that it could be dangerous to use it against someone much faster than him. However, it was silly to think that way. If he was already being outmatched in speed, standing still would at least give him the advantage of having a stable footing. As he filled his feet with holy energy, he felt as if his feet were literally glued to the ground. He was unable to lift his feet even a little, much less attempt to slide one of his feet forward or to any direction. It was no wonder that the technique allows the paladins to endure attacks, being stuck to the ground made it impossible for them to be moved. That, however, did not mean they would come out unscathed. [Steadfastness Learned]
Next on the book, there was the description of the Vow of Truth. It was something that some people would never dare to take. Some did it with only one person, creating a bound that would bring the two of them closer, but Maximilian believed that if the world needed truth, then everyone should have it. From his part at least, Maximilian vowed to never tell a lie. He would always say the truth, even if some people disliked the truth itself, or the way he said it. Even now, upon reading the book he renewed this vow of his, to always say the truth to whoever it may be that he was talking to. That on itself would not mean that he was obliged to give people the information they wanted anyway. So far it never caused him trouble and so he thought that there was no problem in keeping his life style that way. What problem could he possibly cause by always telling the truth to people? He knew that the truth could hurt, but lies were not the solution. That was one of the reasons why he was glad that he renewed his Vow of Truth. [Vow of Truth Learned]
With one single technique being the exception, as he had never killed anyone in battle, Maximilian was done learning the paladin techniques of the level he was instructed to learn. ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

The mechanist took the letter, deciding not to ask any questions about it. Whatever was inside it would be revealed in due time. Raziel was always up for a new weapon. Tucking the letter deep into his jacket pocket, he replied. "Sounds good. Thanks, i'll be back soon." he said, accepting his marlboro red from her and taking a long drag before heading out the door, the robotic raptor following behind him, acting as a mechanical guardian. - lazy exit

The old saying was true, practice did make perfect. Zethus was getting his edge back, his knives impacting almost exactly where he aimed them. Satisfied with his accuracy, he looked over at Red. Seeing her break off a conversation, he decided now was his chance. He pulled his earphones out, grabbed his knives, and walked over. "So I know it didn't end well last time I asked, but I was hoping you'd have something for me to do. I feel like I owe you after disappearing like that."

☦ Shortly after the captain was done speaking Vincent finished his cigarette. Sighing softly that he was out he became frustrated at the moment. He nodded to the captain's orders and began to walk away from her as another person was walking towards her. He was going to have to make a quick stop to purchase more cigs before anything else. It did nothing to his body however it was more of a mind thing as he felt he needed it.
After killing off dozens of the little fiends he returned to the captain. With this hands in his pockets and some blood on his white t shirt he stood before her with a bent cigarette within his mouth. "It's done." He spoke wondering if he needed to do anything else in order to become a novice. ✯

Lilith reached her destination at last, looking much cleaner than she did before. Her boots tapped against the hard floor of the CAZ and kept rhythm with Lilith's new swanky scythe bumping against her backside. She had made a stop in between the RLD and here to pick up this beautiful weapon. Upon entering the brilliantly named fort, Lilith immediately looked around for Alistair. She wanted to talk about what the s**t just happened. There had been a lot of chaos going on during that time and there just wasn't a chance to really get debriefed about the situation. It didn't take long for her to find the King, standing alone amidst all the people. Lilith cut through them like a knife and marched over to the king. She bowed her head ever so slightly before speaking. "I take it the CAZ doesn't often get attacked like that." Lilith said with a playful tone to her voice. Despite all that had happened she had learned a lot and even enjoyed the slaying.

Vincent Morningstar

☦ It didn't take long for his eyes to begin glowing gold as he zoned out to what his captain said. He was diving back into his past. It was nothing intentional as it was just his way. Or rather the way of his mindset as his subconscious was trying to learn from his past. How he was able to do such a thing he didn't know. But one thing was certain... he was going to follow this rabbit down the hole.
A single man came to the region one day hearing of Lucian's triumphs. He was rather impressed to the point of coming to see the great leader in person. This man showed quickly he held the same power as Lucian. To command great power within a moment's notice and to use it for either good or evil. In this case this was in the name of good that he command such power. He was arriving in the district to speak with Lucian about establishing something greater than either could accomplish alone. Something to command great warriors in the defense of weak souls. Lucian had already worked on doing something of the same so he was happy to help this man out. Clearing out a vast area of land they began to build a central area for just a place.
As the Son of the Morningstar family was finally given a name and he became the golden child of the Reapers. Being loved by all he was able to freely wander around safely knowing all would protect him. This was the way of things for many years when he was growing up. Being born in the Morningstar family assured him to have a very adventurous soul. Sometimes it would take him an entire day before he would return to his new home within the region. His mother never liked this because there were creatures that would try to eat souls like them. However his father knew that no matter that the case may be... Vincent would always be safe. He would not be harmed by anything so long as they remained within the region.
Vincent grew up in a house hold in which he was cherished by all. Even if they were not among his family they adored him all the same. Due to the fact he was the light behind the Morningstar clan. For the fact of it as well that he belonged to the family that had finally managed to bring balance to the region. Something that had been attempted multiple times through life but never succeeded. So every day when he would roam around the region he would find himself interacting with other people. Always giving him trinkets of sorts as well as random items of food. None the less it came to the point where he was considered not only a child of the Morningstar family... But of the region as well.
As time went by again days became weeks, weeks became months, and months became years. The establishment of the region began to start as the country was finally built. The existence of vampires had finally come to light. The other countries were in fear of this being as many had disappeared due to the over population of this creature. The fear rose to the point where Lucian himself began to patrol the region to make everyone feel safer. Around this time Vincent was around eleven years old and still had his sense of adventure. Wandering the region all by his lonesome like usual. It did not matter what sort of creature was out there. Nothing was going to deter him from roaming around and exploring the country.
However as she continued to explore the region something that surprised everyone occurred. All but Lucian himself that is. Vincent's body guard was sought after by the Reaper grand master and brought into the city to be a captain. After receiving blessing from Lucian his body guard left for training within the city. His body guard had made him a coating to go on his gauntlet when in danger. One that the Grand master had as well as his father had . His former body guard claimed it would greatly harm vampires and werewolves alike. From that point forward he began to move through the region armed with a his gauntlet and his father's teachings of his unique fighting style. He had nothing to fear in the slightest... Not even these vampire creatures which hardly anyone has seen.
In the village that had the highest crime rates he began to deal with their ruffians. Depending on their crimes he might have just beaten them or gone so far as to kill them. Such actions attracted a lot of attention from both sides in the Reaper forces. Time and time again criminals have tried to take him down. Regardless of how many they brought to try and slay him he proved he was too much for them. No matter how bad the odds were he would never back down. He showed that he was truly a Morningstar family member back then. Being only fifteen years old and already protecting the weak. This brought hope back to the innocents of the village.
He became known as a protector within the village. He really wish that wasn't how he was known as it was the guardians who protect them. He was used to being looked at as a child more so than anything. However other children randomly came up to him giving him items such as food and trinkets. Slowly but surely he began to love all of it. As long as the children and the innocent were safe that was all that mattered to him. However one day there was a thunderous roar proceeding through the village. Most fled from just the thought of something unknown coming for them. However as most of the children were not capable of fleeing such a distance it was Vincent that came to the rescue. Running into battle he did not care what came before him. The Morningstar soul within him began to grip his entire being. Driving him forward towards this battle. He would protect these people as that's all he ever cared about in this moment.
Upon finding the source of the primal sounds he felt fear as he laid his eyes upon it. This being... this animal... this creature was nothing like he had ever seen before. But instead of letting his fear control him he pushed through it as he stared it down. The creature stood firmly at eight feet tall, dark earth colored fur, teeth sharper than knives, and eyes as fierce as the devil's. His eyes narrowed as it swung it's massive arm down to kill an armed man. The man pulled out his katana and blocked the massive claw holding it within place. He was struggling to hold the creature in place and Vincent knew he had to help this man. Not caring who he was he didn't deserve to die by such a creature. Rushing to his side he drew readied his gauntlet and saw the man had a wakizashi. His hand grabbed ahold of it and unsheathed it. "Sorry but I need this." He spoke as he slashed at the creature's Achilles tendon with the weapon. It howled in pain and moved to slash at him. The man moved to swipe at its wrist. Being distracted by two opponents at the same time only confused the creature.
With the man chuckling at the fact he had his weapon stolen he managed to get the creature's attention. With it swiping at him yet again Vincent sped to his other Achilles tendon and sliced at it. Cutting through its skin as if it were butter. The great creature fell but not before opening a slit in is arm. With this the man jumped back but as the creature fell it managed to lunge for him. Twisting its head it managed to get close enough to devour him. Jumping high into the air Vincent came flying down through the sky like a bullet. His gauntlet pointing towards the creature's head. As his fist impaled the creature's head the force from the fall caused the creature's body to disintegrate. Exploding through the being as he did so. Causing her to decapitate the great creature before it could close its mouth around the man.
Vincent stood proudly as he was covered in the creature's blood and cracked his neck. Handing the man his wakizashi back he couldn't help but chuckle a bit more. Instead he handed Vincent the sheath to the blade with a smile. "You keep it. The blade suits you far better than it does me." He said honestly and he nodded to him placing the sheathed blade within his belt. "Might I inquire as to what your name is?" He asked of Vincent and he looked to the creature. "Once you tell me yours and what that thing is." He pointed to the creature and he was happy to oblige Vincent's demands. "I'm the grand master." He spoke with a proper bow to the young lad. "That creature is what is known as a Werewolf. A creature that is highly ferocious and ravenous." His eyes went slightly wider with that bit of news. "That thing is a mutt!?" He shouted at him demanding to know. "Yes that is one of the many appearances the creature takes on." He further explained and his eyes went back to the creature.
"We are in need of strong warriors... ones such as yourself who can slay these beings. Would you join us in our war against these beings?" He asked Vincent and he gave it serious thought. All he did was smile and take his hand accepting his offer. He went to the guardian academy as one of the only official guardian family members to join the service. Upon his entrance the grand master spoke to them encouraging them in their pursuits. Telling them never to stray from their goals upon becoming guardians. He just knew he was going to love it here. As time passed by within the academy he was often complimented on his potential to the point he caught a few of the official guardian's eyes.
Upon completing the academy within record time he was considered a genius. Because of this many of the guardians were trying to recruit him. Some even offered him positions as a fully fledged guardian right out of the academy. However he never felt like he earned such a role. So he turned every single offer down as soon as they were given to him. That was the one thing many loved about Vincent within the Guardian Corps back then. He was always humble and accepted responsibility for his actions. Something that was rare within those days due to the amount of criminals that were still roaming around.
Something that made him even more promising to squads was his inability to settle with one fighitng style or another one. He wanted to learn from every guardian as best as possible so that he could be a jack of all trades. Something that many praised him on due to how he was. The only guardian that he did not serve was due to his inability to heal others was the medical division. He was meant for war and none doubted this fact due to his skills in a fight. This went on for a while until he met with the Royal Guardian. He found Vincent promising as much as everyone else did and decided to take him under his wing. Even though he wasn't a full guardian he got permission from the Grand Master and Vincent's father to train him personally.
As these memories swarmed Vincent's mind he pinched the bridge of his nose. Making them falter from his mind he looked away from the area. A sigh escaped his lips as he turned around and began to leave the area. Knowing he was of no use to anyone within the immediate area. [exit]
