Mike shrugged, frowning slightly at Nina's comment. It's not that he was mad at her for using Surf, but at the whole water situation. "It's alright. I can manage. I don't want you handicapping yourself over me. Plus, I've got Portabello for situations like that." Mike pat his Breloom on the head, who smiled, then adjusted his cap, which Mike had knocked out of place.
"Aw, you figured it out!" Mike said, hitting himself in the head with Beacon's Ultra Ball. "That's no fun!" he laughed, obviously kidding around. Nina wasn't an idiot (all the time).
Upon the release of the ghost Pokemon, Mike's eyes widened with joy. "Anna!" he screamed. "Did you have a nice nap? I haven't seen you in so long!" The boy was shaking with excitement as he saw his friend appear before him. But he'd have time to reminisce later; it was battle time. Beacon hadn't noticed Anna being released as he was too busy staring at the ground. Rocks were fascinating to him, apparently.
Starting off soft, eh Nina? Mike thought as his friend ordered a Psybeam. "Well, I might as well provide a generous bit of reciprocity there, as well as try out Beacon's new move." he cleared his throat. "Beacon! Let's-" The Ampharos whirled around to face him once his name was called, and took the Psybeam right in the back of the head as a result. It didn't seem to bother him too much. Then again, why would any sort of head trauma be foreign to this particular Pokemon? "Er, let's try out that new move! Shock Wave!"
Mike would like to say he was surprised when Beacon commenced his attack that he not only failed to aim correctly, but he failed to even face the right direction. With a honk, the Pokemon exploded with electricity, which shot directly towards Mike. The boy yelped and ducked, Portabello dashing in front of him. Mere feet before colliding with the Breloom's shield, the bolt took a hard 90 degree turn, then another, and raced towards the Misdreavous. Beacon followed the attack with intense curiosity, happily clapping when it finally hit its mark.
"Honk! Honk! HENK!"

After all of his Pokemon woke up and were totally reenergized, Kilik clapped his hands. "Alright everyone, gather 'round!" He leaned against his Aggron, as if he were a wall (which he very well could be) and waited for Chimchar, Treecko, and Drifloon to circle around him. "I hope you all had a nice nap. It's time to get back to work. Chimchar," he nodded to the small chimp, "You're gonna be working with Aggron again." The chimp nodded and looked up at the beast, his tail flaring up slightly. Now that he was well-rested, he was ready to go at it again with Aggron! This time, he was gonna try to wear him out instead of trying to attack him head on. "Treecko, Drifloon. You're with me," he motioned for the two of them to follow him.
Aggron wasted no time to get ready, clenching his fist and bringing down a Metal Claw right down on Chimchar. Obviously, he had dodged but Aggron had grown accustomed to how the little scamp worked. He had dodged to the right and he knew exactly where he was gonna go. "AAAAGGG...RON!" he swung his tail like a club to the right, hoping to hit his partner. Chimchar's eyes widened and he jumped straight up into the air. His foot was caught by the beast's tail and he fell forward on his face. Scrambling to get up, he pounded his chest and ran at Aggron. Forget trying to wear him out! He slammed Brick Break after Brick Break against the rough hide of the behemoth.
"Treecko, you be on the defensive again. Drifloon, use your Astonish!" Kilik looked over to the two other Pokemon he was training, laughing at the sight. Aggron was standing tall, utterly dwarfing Chimchar, who was pounding away at the beast's side. Drifloon shrugged and floated over to the Treecko, slapping her in the face with one of his tassles. Then he slapped her other cheek with the other. He stared off to the distance, making himself inflate and deflate as he absent-mindedly kept slapping Treecko. She whined a bit, then hopped back, looking up at her opponent. He was still swinging his tassles, but she was clearly not there anymore. What was his deal? She ran at him and let loose a Dragonbreath right under him. Drifloon took the attack, then shuddered a bit. That felt rather nice. He turned around slowly, and still looking blankly into the horizon, went back to slapping Treecko. Kilik cringed. That blank stare Drifloon had was, after it stopped being cute, was rather very creepy.

Once the Boss Macabre had shown up, Giovanni pulled his pipe from his teeth and looked over at the man. "You're awfully chipper, Macabre." The man raised an eyebrow and took a few more puffs on his pipe. The Relic was safely extracted from it's spot, and he looked down upon it with a slight smirk. Kneeling down, Giovanni brushed off a little more dirt and sighed. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" He whispered, "This rock..." he laughed, "this rock is what will bring the world to it's knees. And we only need one more." He looked up at Proton. The Admin saluted and slid his hands into his pockets.
"Gotta say, Bawss," he chuckled, "You awful i'nerested in a few rocks. I mean, I know the impor'ance," he put up his hands defensively, "But why can't we juss kill the kiddos? You ain't had qualms 'bout killin' before."
Giovanni laughed heartily, echoing through the tower. "Proton, only speak when you're spoken to," he said simply, "As for killing the children," he continued, "I've certainly thought about it. But I'd much rather let them wait...and when I unlock the secrets of the Three Relics and use their power," he clenched his pipe tightly in his fist, "I will see them all on their knees." Persian let out a soft 'mrowr' and sat down next to his master.
"Proton! Leo!" he barked, "Take the Relic up the ladder. Macabre and I have a few things to discuss." Proton nodded and tied a rope around the Relic carefully, making sure it was nice and tight. He walked towards the ladder with Leo.
"Now, Macabre," Giovanni said simply, watching the two men in the corner of his eye to make sure they were being careful with his treasure, "Report."

"I agree," Mazarin groaned, wiping sweat from his brow. He walked her into the Pokemon Center and felt the rush of cool air blast him in the face. It was a very nice welcome. "Whooo, boy!" he jumped up excitedly, "Can't wait for that blueberry smoothie!" He looked over at Banette, who was smiling. Blueberry had been their favorite flavor of anything ever since the beginning of time. Blueberry smoothies, ice cream, fruit snacks, yogurt, muffins, and cereals. Even some things you wouldn't really expect anyone to make out of blueberries, like pudding and ham glaze. Name anything with blueberries, and chances are that Maz has already had it. And all day, and all night, everything he eats is blue. Inside and outside. "I love blueberries, daba-dee-daba-diiie," he hummed to himself. He took Junko's hand and ran towards the cafeteria, sliding to a halt in front of the smoothie machine. In a flash he had grabbed three cups, handing one to Junko. He filled the other two with blueberry smoothie and handed one to Banette. The two of them smiled like little kids while drinking their smoothies, practically giddy.
"It appears that Team Rocket has landed in Ecruteak City, and they have taken over the Burned Tower. For what reason, it cannot be confirmed. More to come at 11."
Mazarin looked up at the television set in the cafeteria, slowly pulling the straw out of his mouth. "Wonder what they're doing there?" He asked nobody in particular. He had remembered that Wesker told him to be on the look-out for Team Rocket. B-but he was with such a pretty girl! A girl who could actually stand to be around him! He bit his lip and started to drink more of his smoothie. I'm sure it's nooo big deal. He nodded.

"Well, despite my last name, I do take joy in the little things." Macabre responded. While the other admins were busy taking the relic up, Macabre took a moment to roll up his sleeves and wipe the sweat off his brow.
"Now, as you know I was the former lieutenant for our mission back with the Slowpoke Well. Aside from the commercial aspects of that mission, we had been also researching into the effects of the move Amnesia. Mainly, how to harness this power and erase the memories of another person or Pokemon." Macabre paused and looked slyly to his leader.
"Since the end of that mission, my team has been continuing that research. I am proud to report that we now have a device that replicates the effects of Amnesia perfectly." Macabre smiled and glanced away, adjusting his glasses. "Unfortunately, we have it exactly copied, meaning it is only a temporary memory loss. We're still looking into ways of extending the duration. Our trials on those silly monks in Sprout Tower, however, has shown that the effect can last for up to 24 hours before we must reapply treatment."
"The rest of my men are cleaning up the tower of our work as we speak. I brought with me an intruder, some random blonde girl, who we've put under the influence of the machine. She's waiting outside at the chopper to present you with the rare Pokemon I mentioned in my earlier report. With your approval I'd like to keep her under our... care and continue our research at another facility with a little more technology."

Nina's hands flew to cover her mouth as she saw the Psybeam attack connect, hard, with the back of Beacon's head. "Oh god!" she shrieked. "Beacon, are you--"
Beacon interrupted the girl with a loud honk! which preceded a surprising explosion of electricity, which was loosed in every which way. Nina watched as Mike took cover, Portabello protecting him. It was in that moment that she realized something; the Shock Wave attack would strike any target, and while Mike had Portabello's protection, Nina did not. Thinking quickly and running away from the battlefield as electricity was flying in her direction, she released a fainted Pookie, ducking behind him for cover. Pookie lay sprawled out on his back, the electricity striking him instead of Nina due to his ever-active Lightningrod ability. His back right foot twitched a little.
Anna, however, had no protection whatsoever. She was struck by the Shock Wave, falling to the ground briefly; after a moment or two, she rose back into the air, muttering a very simple, "Ow."
Nina poked her head up and over Pookie, like a soldier looking out from a trench, to see if the coast was clear. She received her answer as she watched Beacon clapping at the success of his attack. An eyebrow was raised as he honked in happiness. "Anna!" she called. "I... err. We probably shouldn't underestimate Beacon's newfound capabilities!"
"No s**t, Sherlock!" the Ghost hollered back, her face a bit red.
"Shut your face, and show Beacon what you can do! Shadow Ball!"
Anna muttered something under her breath in response before gathering ghostly energy from within herself, forming it into a ball. "Taaake... this!" she exclaimed, blasting the attack at her adversary.

Junko felt as if a huge weight was lifted off of her chest once she entered the cool Pokemon Center. It was at least 15 degrees cooler inside. Before she had had the chance to even look around Mazarin grabbed her hand and took off. She almost slammed into the back of the boy when he came to an abrupt stop in front of the smoothie dispenser. She would have said something but a cup was shoved into her face. The girl took it out of reflex and then watched as the silver haired boy and his Banette prepared themselves Blueberry smoothies. The two of them then stood there, ear to ear grins plastered on their faces, drinking and giggling like school girls. I guess they really like smoothies... She thought as she made her way to the counter to grab another cup. She filled both cups with strawberry flavor, then mixed in banana flavor. Junko handed the other cup to Hades who was eagerly awaiting the cold drink. She had only taken a few sips before something on the television in the room had caught her attention. It was the news channel.
"Wha...?" Junko felt her mouth gape a bit as the reporter mentioned Team Rocket and her home town. She clenched both of her hands into fists in anger. Unfortunately, one of those fists happened to still be holding onto the smoothie she had made for herself no more than a minute prior. She didn't seem to notice however, as the cup crumpled in her hand and strawberry-banana erupted all over. "WHAT!?" she shouted at the television as she slammed her fist-the one that wasn't holding the cup-hard on the counter.~~~~ With a blast of red light the foreign Pokemon materialized in front of its new trainer. The light took a form of a slug type body, two horn like protrusions from it's head, and two little wing type flaps on its back. The Pokemon was mostly blue, accompanied by green, yellow, and white.
Jomei could have been knocked over with a Pidgey's feather as he stood there, mouth gaping, staring blankly at it. WHAT IS THIS? he screamed inside his head. He could feel his teeth grind together as he studied the bizarre Pokemon. Suddenly remembering that he had a Pokedex on his person, he pulled the device from his bag and aimed it at the blue thing.
"NO ENTRY AVAILABLE. CHECK FOR UPDATES." The Pokedex barked at him.
"What the?" Jomei scratched the back of his head. "Even the Pokedex doesn't know what this creature is." He and Pizza exchanged quizzical glances. "Pizza, go over there and say hello or something. Y'know, introduce yourself..."
Pizza sighed heavily and drug his feet over to his new comrade. When the mysterious Pokemon noticed the fire mouse coming towards him, it let out a fierce screech in joy. The noise knocked the poor cyndaquil off of his feet. He then quickly jumped back up and shot off in the opposite direction. He hid himself behind jomei's legs and peered at the Pokemon from a distance.
"Don't be sucha fraidy cat." Jomei told Pizza as he tried to shake the cowering Pokemon off of his leg. "Guess I'll go over."
Pizza let go of his trainers leg when he began to move toward the blue slug. He decided he would stay where he was and keep guard.

Mike was amazed that Beacon could somehow turn a single target projectile into a field-spanning explosion. However, even in his usual style, the Ampharos managed to score a direct hit. Granted, the attack was impossible to miss with, but it's a start! Mike watched as Nina hid behind her Rhyhorn to dodge the attack, Anna not being so lucky. He snickered as the electric attack blasted her and sent her to the floor, and had to keep himself from laughing as the Pokemon and trainer bickered. It was just like old times.
When the Misdreavous fired her phantasmal attack towards his Pokemon, Mike got an idea. "Beacon, Charge!" Not only would charge give his next electric attack a little boost, but the added charge would help protect him against special-based attacks.
Beacon slapped his cheeks and began to crackle with electrical energy. His body began to glow a dim yellow. The Amparahos looked up in time to see the Shadow Ball soar towards him. He looked at it in confusion, and by the time his brain fired up to realize what was coming towards him was bad, he was already on the ground.
Mike smiled as he saw Beacon get to his feet, ready for more. He was such a trooper, even with his limitations. "You're almost there, Beacon." He said to himself. "I can feel it."
Almost to what, master? Portabello asked.
"Almost to the point where he's, well," Mike tried to look for the kindest words. "Effective? Reliable? I don't know. But he's gotten really strong since I've captured him, and I know he's so close to being a great Pokemon like you or Nitro, or Titanium, or everyone else!"
Mm. the Breloom agreed. It is no doubt he has immense power, and he's come a long way. He's determined, in his own way, I can sense it.
"He tries so hard, even though he doesn't understand it." Mike let out a short breath. "I'm so proud of him." Portabello nodded slowly, wearing a smile of his own.

Nina couldn't help but smile as she overheard the conversation between Mike and Portabello. Despite the fact that Portabello wasn't verbalizing his words, she couldn't help but to pick up on his telepathic messages to his Trainer. Beacon certainly is an outstanding Pokemon in his own right, she thought to herself.
Trying not to get too distracted from the battle, the girl focused on what was at hand and looked to her friend. "Not a bad strategy," she commented, to Mike's issue of Charge. "Let's see if we can't do something about that, though." She grinned a little bit, turning her gaze from Mike to Anna. "I think it's time, my dear."
"It's time?" Anna repeated. "Time for what I think you're talking about?"
"Absolutely. It's time to give Beacon a lesson in aeronautics."
"With pleasure." Locking eyes with the Ampharos, Anna's body glowed with a dark purplish aura; with a bit of a smirk, the Ghost watched as Beacon's body was surrounded by the same aura.
It was not long before Anna used Psychic to pick her adversary up, and used her ability to cause him to fly around the air in circles. She made certain not to have him collide with anything; instead, she elected to have some fun. He kept flying around, flying, spinning, twirling; at one point, Anna spun him around in place several times at a breakneck speed before lifting him rather high up off of the ground.
And then...
"Bored now."
She ceased the Psychic hold she had on him. The aura encompassing her body vanished, as did the one around Beacon.

"Yuh-oh." Mike said as Anna grabbed Beacon and threw him into the air. Not only did the little ghost toss him skyward, but she decided it would be fun to make the Ampharos into an airplane. This was of course, accompanied with Beacon's own delusions of somehow learning to fly, flapping his flippers and making airplane noises as he enjoyed his newfound ability for flight. This dream was interrupted when Anna became tired of toying around with him and spin him around like a top before letting him go. The Pokemon flailed and honked, wildly confused as to why he stopped flying. It was like watching a bird clipped by a hunter's shotgun go down, except far less graceful. Beacon slammed into the ground, his wings officially clipped.
Mike and Portabello both winced at the drop, but once again, Beacon got up for more. "Holy s**t, go Beacon!" Mike cheered, pumping a fist into the air. "Get ready to block Portabello. Let's use that Charge move to its fullest and DISCHARGE!"
If you thought that Beacon had let out a powerful attack with Shock Wave, you hadn't seen anything yet. With a loud cry, the Pokemon's body released a blast of electricity so powerful and so bright that Mike and Portabello had to shield their eyes to avoid them being burned out of their skulls. There was a deafening sonic boom as Beacon discharged his attack in every direction possible, like and expanding dome of electricity.
"Oh s**t!" Mike yelled out, throwing himself to the ground. Portabello stepped in front of his trainer and executed his Protect, clamping his clawed feet to the ground to avoid being pushed back.
Such incredible power! Portabello said over the roar of the electricity as it barraged his Protect. Mike ducked behind his Pokemon, his hair standing almost completely on end. The light from the attack made the shadows dance on the wall, and the sound was almost deafening.
When the attack was finished and the light faded, Beacon could be seen standing in the center of the arena, gnawing on his own flipper, as if nothing had ever happened.
"The wave of thoughts and emotions going through my head at the moment astound and confuse me." said the boy.

Mitsu was beginning to feel a bit estranged from the little group of friends that had formed. Kasiya and Keegan, well, they had themselves and she couldn't shake the feeling that Sasha held something against her, whatever it was she didn't quite know. And then of course there was Blaine, with whom she didn't really want to speak to in case she should further annoy him. He was already putting up with them and their bickering and shouting.
Silently, she climbed into the roaring helicopter and took a seat in the back, hoping that the ride would be as painless and as quick as possible. She'd never been in a helicopter personally, though she was use to the sights and sounds of them. Already though, as if in anticipation of what was to come the quiet, purple haired trainer could feel a headache coming on. Or maybe it was just the chronic headaches she seemed to be suffering more and more often from nowadays. Touching her forehead gently, she could feel the low and slight throbbing that was echoing in the front of her head.
"I wonder why my head's been hurting so much lately," she muttered quietly to herself. Though in the back of her mind, she secretly knew what it was. Mitsu was just keeping such information hidden away from herself. We are often better at telling lies to ourselves than to others.
----------=====----------
"Again!" Mia issued, pointing towards the target, her own Floatzel Rhyme. Tangelo nodded, already shooting forth a few vines to the target. The blueish vines this time successfully hit thier mark. Two of the three managed to slap the Floatzel who could only manage to dodge one this time with a Quick Attack. The vines, as credit should also be given to Jello, were quite erratic this time around, mimicking the personality of the Pokemon that was in control of them.
"You pause a bit after you finish a Quick Attack Rhyme! Don't use it to dodge with when there are many projectiles!" Mia commanded. Rhyme's Quick Attack wasn't quite as prolonged as her father's and she was not quite use to maneuvering with the attack yet either. It was something that Mia intended to remedy soon, if not now.

"s**t!" was the only word that Nina could muster before ducking back behind Pookie for shelter, as the storm of electricity all but consumed everything within the arena. Pookie was the first of Nina's Pokemon to be struck by Discharge; after absorbing the entirety of the destructive attack, Pookie's foot began twitching again, now at more regular and frequent intervals.
Anna, however, was not blessed with such divine protection. She was struck by one of the most powerful attacks she had ever encountered, being knocked to the ground again as a result, and it all but depleted her remaining health. She rose up into the air again, taking a bit longer to do so this time. I have but one option, she thought-spoke to Nina.
Nina popped her head up once more after she was certain that it was safe again. I know, she replied. Go ahead.
Concentrating, the Ghost Pokemon summoned up all of her remaining energy-- which was barely enough to say so-- and she formed it into a ball. She locked eyes with Beacon, surrounding his body with the same dark purple aura as she had previously done. She extracted his energy, of which there was a much greater amount, and formed it into a ball as well. In a swift movement, she combined both balls of energy into one, before splitting it back into two that had an even amount of energy distributed amongst them. One ball hovered over Anna, while one hovered over Beacon; it was a second or two before each Pokemon absorbed the ball of energy back into their bodies. This was extremely beneficial to Anna, but she couldn't necessarily say the same for Beacon.
"Way to go, Anna!" Nina cheered, as her Pokemon regained health. Pookie's eyes opened and he barked in approval, rolling from his back and onto his feet, causing Nina to scream in horror, crabwalking backwards and away from her Pokemon. "Holy s**t!" she hollered, a hand on her now rapidly-beating heart.
It appeared that Beacon's Discharge was so powerful that it acted as a type of defibrillator, reviving Pookie.

"Well then, is everyone ready?" Blaine asked as the kids piled into the helicopter. He motioned to Ronald, who was still silent, to lift off. He noticed his laptop was beside the girl with pink hair, and he wished to check his emails in case anything new happened to pop up. "Excuse me, Sasha was it?" he asked the girl beside him.
"Oui?" Sasha replied.
"Would you be so kind as to pass me my computer?" with a quick nod, the girl happily gave the man his laptop, and he flipped it open. For the next few minutes the entire helicopter was silent. At first, Blaine enjoyed the sudden change from before, but as time went on, he began feeling a bit unnerved. The kids seemed very anxious and distraught, like they were ready to burst at any time. He had been through it all when he was a young boy those many, many years ago. "So," Blaine said, clearing his throat. "You children are no doubt trainers. Would you mind telling me a little bit about yourselves?"
Blaine's voice jarred Sasha's attention from the sea, which she was intensely staring at through the window. "Oh, well..." Sasha said as she regained her senses. "My name is Sasha Jennings Beauchamp the Fourth. I am the current heir to the Beauchamp family fortune, as well as a professional model, avid windsurfer, drummer in training, and now, Pokemon trainer." she flicked her hair when she said the 'professional model' bit, and rapped her hands on the table when she mentioned her musical hobby. "My dream is to become a strong Pokemon trainer and prove to my parents that Pokemon training is elegant and beautiful. I also would like to start a band, but so far I haven't met anyone who can play instruments." she shrugged, then looked at her friends expectantly. "At least, I don't think I have..."
------
Mike growled at Anna's Pain Split. It was so frustrating to see all his hard work go down the drain in one swift motion. When the attack was over, Beacon was noticeably fatigued. It was like everything caught up to him at once. "Hang in there Beacon, we can still win this!" Mike shouted. "Give that ghost a taste of your Thunderbolt!"
Beacon stuck his tongue out and held his arms to his sides. Electrical energy coursed through his body, and began traveling upward, towards his neck.
"Oh my god is he doing it?" Mike said excitedly, squeezing his two fists shut. The electricity began to flow up the Ampharos's long neck. He was doing it! He was going to shoot from the gem! Mike could hardly contain himself as the attack crawled up Beacon's neck and made its way to the Pokemon's face. Almost there! Both Mike and Portabello held their breath as the current reached Beacon's head. The Pokemon opened his mouth and-
"Uuurp!"
-burped, shooting all of the charged electricity out from his mouth. The sudden jolt caused the Ampharos to lose his footing, and fire the bolt completely upward, striking the side of the volcano.
Both the boy and the Breloom shared equal looks of horror as Beacon flailed on the ground, still pulsating with electrical energy.

Nina couldn't help but stare at Beacon in horror for a few moments. She turned to look at her newly-revived Pookie, approaching him, as the initial shock--no pun intended-- had disspiated; "Wow," she commented. "Watching that attack feels like what it's like to have you battle. Except, well, Beacon actually listens. Pookie responded by sitting on his haunches and scratching behind one of his ears using a hind leg. "You... don't even listen to me when I talk to you."
The girl rolled her eyes, turning to look back at Anna. She had to continue trying to keep her personal feelings for Beacon at bay. Still though, it was difficult to not feel sorry for the guy; he was trying so hard...
No, Nina. Shut up. Stop it. Battle him.
"Anna, that was a great recovery! Now, it's time to take Beacon out. Show him what a real Thunderbolt is like!"
"Absolutely." The Ghost Pokemon built up electricity within herself; as a result, she began glowing a bright yellow. She could feel the electricity coursing throughout her body, and it wasn't long before she shot it directly towards Beacon, the force of the attack causing her to move backwards a bit.
Maybe he'll learn from this, Nina thought.

"No! Wait, Beacon, get up! Try to get out of the-" Too late. Beacon was struck with the Thunderbolt attack. While normally that would do next to nothing, the Ampharos's already severely weakened state thanks to the Pain Split would prove to be his downfall. Beacon let out one final, weak 'honk', then collapsed on the ground. "Well, dammit." Mike said, looking up at Nina. "That was...really fun!" he recalled his Pokemon and motioned for his friend to come over on his side. "C'mon, we'll use Blaine's Gym Leader healing machine thing. What did ya think of the match Sabrina? Think I'd stand a chance against you in an official match?" he smiled, opening the door to Blaine's lab. The door was noticeably charred and scraped from when Napalm rushed in to save him from the shower. "Yikes." Mike said to himself. He'd have to fix that soon.
After tossing his own Pokemon (including Portabelo, Titanium, and Beacon) along with Nina's three Pokemon into the machine, he pressed the button and watched as the machine whirred awake and began healing their Pokemon. Mike knew that Napalm would be fine. Something told him that healing via the volcano would do him more good than a machine ever could. "That was a great fight." Mike said again, leaning against the wall. "I thought Beacon had you! I've been trying to fix his aim problem by having him channel his electricity and shoot it from his forehead gem like he does with Signal Beam, but as you can see, it's hard to break the little guy's habits." With Signal Beam, there was only one place it could come out from, but Beacon's entire body was conductive, so if there was electricity in his leg, his arm or his tail, he'd shoot it from wherever it came from. "I thought Shock Wave would help him learn how to use it correctly, but he still needs some work."
Mike sighed. "Oh well. He still did great against Anna. I thought we had you." He smiled. "There's always next time."

"I'm Mitsu. . ." she paused, horrified that she couldn't remember her last name. "K-ko--Kinomoto!" She shook her head sheepishly, feeling like a fool for having stammered in such a simple introduction. Something though was clearly off, Kinomoto didn't feel natural to say, after all, it was just the name of her adopted family. There was something else, she could feel it hovering out of sight in the back of her mind, almost teasing her with it's presence.
Mitsu decided to continue again, knowing she'd fair better this time, "I'm Mitsu Kinomoto. My home is Mossdeep, Hoenn (here she murmured "I think" to herself) and have been working towards getting all the badges from my home region. I'm just two short. Ideally, I'd like to enter the Hoenn League and become champion, not unlike many others. I'm also incredibly fond of my Pokemon, especially my Gardevoir Karri."
The girl paused, not quiet use to talking about herself. Though, in fact, she was finding that she didn't know much about herself, the past seemed like it was both fading away and reappearing in a form that she didn't remember. It was worrying her, why did it seem like things were disappearing? Mitsu touched her head, the throbbing having grown worse. Smiling weakly, not sure what else to do or say, she uttered, "It was nice to meet you Blaine."

Nina smiled; she had an actual victory under her belt. To be honest, she couldn't remember the last time that she was able to secure a victory against someone all by herself, with the recent exception of Mateo and his underling. It always seemed as though she had to rely on Sabrina and Whitney for help; it was nice to have one win that she could say she earned all by herself. The girl recalled Pookie into his Safari Ball, partly because of convenience and the other part for safety reasons; she approached Mike, Anna following at her side. Sabrina, who had been protecting herself from Beacon's erratic electrical attacks with a self-created psychic shield, lowered her guard and walked toward her friends.
"I think that you are both excellent Trainers, and should be very proud of not only your abilities, but the abilities of your Pokemon, as well." The elder psychic smiled. "You both have incredible potential to go on and achieve simply magnificent feats, and I want to be there to watch the both of you continue to flourish." She paused for a moment as she briefly considered Mike's second question. "I think that you would prove to be a formidable adversary against me, Mike," she replied. "If you want my truthful input, I do not believe that you would be able to best me in a true fight in this current state. Perhaps with time, however. I will be glad to help you improve your abilities, should you desire my aid."
"I thought that I was done for, too," Nina commented, as her Pokemon were being healed by Blaine's machine. "Beacon is a truly powerful Pokemon, and I sense a very great deal of dormant strength within him. He just... hmm." There was a brief pause. "It's as though there is a type of metaphorical lock on his abilities. So far, you've been able to open the lock by picking it, but the lock will never properly be opened until you find the key."
Nina grew very quiet for a time. She appeared rather anxious, and seemed to be struggling to find the words for what she wanted to say.
"I... um. I can't guarantee anything, but, I would very much like to work with Beacon for a time. I'd like to train him, to see if I can help develop his abilities. I-I know that you're fond of him, so I would understand if you didn't want me to take him. But I can promise that if you say yes, I'll train him to the very best of my abilities, just like I do with Anna and Krystal."
She grew silent again, waiting for Mike's input.
