Deathstroke flipped up and over the beam, simultaneously attempting to fit the cancellation ring onto the weapon.

Unfortunately, a certain Bat happened to notice the rather eye-catching energy discharge, and flew down to have a look.

{Enter from Arkham}

Flash zipped up to a street corner only a few blocks from Arkham, and then stopped and set Spider down. "So... This is Gotham! What do we think?" he asked cheerfully, gesturing to the dark, depressing backdrop. Fortunately, he kept talking without seeming to pause for any sort of response. "Okay. So, since the crazies in question DO NOT have super speed, I'm guessing that they're still within a ten block radius. So... Yeah. Watch out for Freeze--Um... big guy in a big scary ice suit... thing-- but other than that, have fun! First person to knock out three lunatics wins!"

[ENTER from Arkham]

Steel Spider simply stared around at the city for a moment, then turned back to Flash. It...was so big. And this was just one city. She was afraid that she'd get lost too easily. But with her recent upgrades, it shouldn't be too hard to pinpoint previous locations in case she needed to back track. Though there was a bit of a different problem.
"I'm...really not familiar with anything outside of Murder World. Nor do I know much about how humans really function. I was built to kill, not knock them out. How can I shut them down without killing them?"

//re-read steel's stuff, so I is attempting to go by stuff she's thought of before. //

Flash blinked. It was clear that he hadn't thought of that. "Um... generally... Er... It's kind of... an experience thing, actually," he replied apologetically. Then he brightened. "But if you know how to kill people, then you could... you know... stop just short of that."

"Oh, alright..." Steel replied. "Are we...splitting up then to look for them?"

The band slid onto the barrel of Mega Man's buster cannon easily, activating automatically. The cannon sparked for a second. Mega Man jumped away, and tried to fire again, but nothing happened. He tried to remove the band, but it wouldn't budge; Luthor had built into it a locking mechanism that only opened with a keycard, a keycard that Luthor had intentionally not given Deathstroke, in the extremely, EXTREMELY unlikely event that the Terminator failed, although Lex would never phrase it like that out loud. "Oh, no," Mega Man gasped; he'd always had use of at least his cannon, ever since it had been installed.

[enter Prometheus, the Mad Hatter, Mr. Freeze, and the Great White Shark from Arkham Asylum]

The various escaping inmates had parted ways during the break-out, in order to force the Asylum to spread its already much-less-then-impressive force, allowing them to get away. The Hatter decided that he needed to go get a few of his personal hats, and maybe a couple mindwashing hats as well. "Back to the rabbit hole, we go!"

[exit the Mad Hatter to Home Sweet Home]

Prometheus hadn't exactly 'run' from the pursuing authorities, so much as faded away and then hid, in order to catch them by surprise. As two of the guards try to catch him, they unknowingly ran past him, not seeing him perched on a balcony three stories above them. Once the first was past, the launched a grappling line at the second. The hooks impaled the officer from his back to his stomach, then the line began retracting, dragging the slowly-dying man up into the air. Prometheus tied the line to the balcony as the other officer turned and saw what had happened to his partner. In panic, the second officer ran, but never got more than ten steps. Prometheus leapt into the air towards the guard, drew his sword in midair, and sliced down, cutting the man almost perfectly in half, partly due to his strength, partly due to the additional power derived from the fall. He left the first man to die as he continued on.

The Great White Shark immediately knew that he needed to do what he knew best: fencing. He was a most ruthless fence for criminals (it was how he had earned his nickname the first place), but he couldn't launch a new operation in Gotham. He had to get out of the Bat's city. He couldn't go to Metropolis, either; the City of Tomorrow's guardian was more powerful than the Batman, though maybe not as dangerous. Hailing a taxi, he got in, broke the driver's neck, dumped the body in the middle of the street, got in the driver's seat, and immediately took off.

[exit the Great White Shark to New York City]

Mr. Freeze already knew where he was going; he had wanted to go to this place for a long time now. The place was a perfect place to hide out and lay low, too. He started on his way as fast as his suit would allow.

[exit Mr. Freeze to No Man's Land]

Deathstroke would have smiled... had he been a completely different person. As things were, he relaxed a bit. That had been easier than he'd anticipated. "That was fairly painless," he told the robotic boy evenly, "...Let's do something about that."

"Yes," growled a completely unfamiliar voice, "Let's."

Deathstroke only had time to turn his head about an inch to the side, and then someone's feet slammed into his back. He turned the fall into a somewhat rushed, sloppy roll, and then turned to look at his new adversary. His eyes widened. It was Batman, but... it wasn't. ... Well, what did you know. The Clown hadn't been lying OR hallucinating. "Hm..." he said quietly, his only visible eye intensely thoughtful, "Interesting." And it was. Was this a Robin playing dress up? Joker had almost indicated that he was... more. But how was that possible?

Batman's eyes narrowed, and the next second they were practically a single black and red blur. PunchKickBlockKnifehandKickKickBlock. It almost looked coordinated. They were moving much too quickly for any observers to tell who was better... At least for the time being.

Flash blinked. "... Um, that might not be the best idea, actually. Let's go that way!" he added suddenly, pulling her in a seemingly random direction. He wasn't going as fast as he normally did, so as not to damage her arm... which wasn't to say that he wasn't going fast. A few seconds later, they passed a dead cop. A very messily dead cop. Flash came to an abrupt stop. "Um... Hey... You! I forgot your name... Random Batman badguy!" he yelled at Prometheus.

Prometheus turned around to face the Flash. "I'm insulted, Flash. I very strongly remember making you believe that I had planted motion-sensitive bombs on the old JLA Watchtower, so that you couldn't run around. I believe I did that on the same night I beat Batman in close combat single-handedly, and tried to make Superman commit suicide in exchange for all the hostages that you Leaguers had so obligingly brought onboard for a tour."

Steel Spider followed after Flash as best as she could, or rather follow after without being drug down the street. She halted, trying to to run into him on the sudden stop, and stared down at the bloody human a moment. She then turned her attention to the other human. After he had finished talking, she turned her attention towards Flash. This was obviously one of his enemies, perhaps she should let him decide what to do first.
PostPosted: Tue Sep 22, 2009 5:26 pm

Flash appeared to think about it. "Uh... Nope. Nothing. You must not have been very memorable," he added brightly, "That explains it. Anyway..." Pause. "I'm going to beat the crap out of you, now."

This was bad. Whoever this person was, Terry wasn't quite up to par. He could tell. Any second now, he was going to miss a block, and--

POW!

Batman went flying backward after being hit in the head with the butt of the mercenary's sword, but managed to turn it into a one handed back handspring. Unfortunately, Deathstroke was right behind him. The Bat barely had enough time to get his arm up to catch the blade that came sweeping down toward his skull. Automatically, his other came up into a sort of twist that he'd used on Curare once... and lo and behold, it actually worked!

Taking advantage of the temporary reprieve, Terry hastily got out of the way.

"You're better than the Robins," Deathstroke remarked, sounding mildly surprised. He might have been discussing an unexpected turn in the stock market.

Terry just glared. What was he supposed to do? Say 'thank you?'

"If you can see me to do it," Prometheus said, grabbing several smoke pellets from within his belt and throwing them all around himself, enveloping himself within the self-created smokescreen. Under the cover of the smoke, both began the matial arts feed into his brain (which gave him access to all the moves known by the top 30 martial artists in the world, including Batman and Lady Shiva), and also prepared a grappling line for a possible escape.
PostPosted: Tue Sep 22, 2009 5:48 pm

Flash just zipped through, clearing most of the smoke simply by passing, then zipped back, punching at the man from all angles and not staying in the same spot for more than a fraction of a fraction of a second. He wasn't going to get tripped up. Nope. He knew exactly how dangerous this person was, and he was prepared. He wasn't going to give him the chance to pull anything.

Prometheus took a few solid shots, then his in-helmet computer system figured Flash's next positions of attacks. From that point, many of the hits began missing, and many that would've been excellent hits were merely glances. Also the strobe lights in his helmet activated, making all movement appear jerky, disorienting; these had played a major role in the Bat's defeat.
PostPosted: Tue Sep 22, 2009 5:59 pm

The next second, the majority of the helmet was just... gone. Specifically, it was in the Atlantic ocean. Flash was standing in front of him, tapping his foot impatiently. "Come on. Strobe lights? Do you have any idea how much time I spend in clubs?" Honestly, he'd almost tripped over his own feet because of the thing, but he wasn't about to admit THAT.

Steel Spider stood and watched, still a bit amazed at how fast Flash was. It looked like he had everything under control himself, but she kept herself ready to step in the moment she was needed.
