Ophiuchus smiled as he walked down the corridor. As he walked by the smaller hall that led to the teacher's rooms, he recalled that Ialo had sent him a message, that Professor Valen was injured. Despite the fact that he didn't trust the night teacher, Ophiuchus couldn't refuse to assist someone in need of healing. The healer made his way to Dymetri's room...

Ophiuchus was about six feet from Dymetri's door when he stopped in his tracks. He stared at the door, his head tilted in a goofy fashion. He could smell Dymetri. Not that big of a deal, Ophiuchus could smell a lot of people. His reptilian sense of smell was a very useful healing tool. God knows he would have gone crazy if he were a werewolf or something. But, it was that he sensed company. An elf. Lin. His eyes narrowing, Ophiuchus phased through the door. "Tch."
He was seething that a teacher had taken advantage of a student, what Dymetri was doing to Lin, even if they were asleep. Before his voice had a chance to wake them, a sphere of icy cold water formed over them and fell, soaking the two to the bone. Meanwhile, Ophiuchus stood there examining his fingernails.

Dymetri's eyes opened, feeling a rush that was cooler than his own skin was. Colder and wetter. He howled at the extremely rude awakening and practically somersaulted out of the bed, shaking his body like a wet dog. Apparently, he was feeling much better. He looked up to see Ophiuchus and snarled. "What in the hell, Akakios?!"

Ophiuchus pointed at Lin without bothering to look up. "I could ask the same thing of you," he said calmly. Unfortunately, calm and smooth meant that the Serpent was pissed beyond belief.

((Nice! lol!!))
Lin shrieked when something very cold splashed onto her body and shocked her out of her sleep. She jumped out of bed and was breathing rapidly from the shock her system received. Elves were very quick at recovering, though, so soon her main focus was that her professor was in the room.
She gasped, her eyes wide. This was terrible! "Professor Akakios!"

Ophiuchus nodded in acknowledgment. "Good afternoon Miss Yin. I trust you were, ah... having a good time?" His voice was even colder than the water. "I don't suppose you two have 'an excellent explaination' for this?"

Lin's eyes widened, not believing what her professor was insinuating! "Professor, with all due respect, I do not appreciate your insinuation! I am simply taking over Dyme... Professor Valen's healing process right now until there can be someone more qualified, such as yourself, to take over!"
That was the first time in her life that she had not told the complete truth. Yes, she was looking out for Dymetri's health and considered herself his healer, but she was around right now to simply be with him.

Dymetri narrowed his eyes and walked towards the professor. "I asked her to lay with me, sir. It seems as though we fell asleep in the process." He took Ophiuchus by the elbow and gestured for them to speak privately in the hall. "Your insinuations should be dealt with by the authoritative figure in the situation, not the student. So please come with me and we'll discuss." Ew. He felt nauseous from speaking so... appropriately.

"I am insinuating nothing," the professor denied. "I'm merely asking if you were at least enjoying each other's company, and what you two were doing taking a nap when you should be doing your respective jobs." Ophiuchus let Dymetri lead him out into the hallway. "Alright, I'm here. Discuss before I banish you to Rwanda or something."

His voice dimmed down to his natural level. "I was ill, my job was to be resting. I refused to rest alone so I asked her for her company. She studies too much anyway, and you know this. Before the end of the year, she'll die of exhaustion, and we don't want another fuss about deaths at this school." It was the first time he spoke of the past to someone who knew about it as well. Dymetri was, obviously existing five years ago, so he knew about the occurrences and heard the news within the Mythic Times, the old newspaper company before they closed down. He was also a follower of Riser before he set his eyes on the Mystic Fountain, but none of the authorities ever knew that. "Do we?"

While the two men went outside to talk, Lin ran to the couch in the sitting area outside the master bedroom and wrapped a blanket around herself. So cold! She also took another blanket by the couch and tossed it out into the hallway for Dymetri. He needed to stay warm before his healing process was slowed down!
Then, she went back into the sitting room and sat down on the couch with her blanket wrapped around her.

Ophi sighed. "You asked her for her company. I can believe that. But did you stop and think that perhaps since she wasn't the ill one, that she had previous obligations? Like, say, possible independent study with another teacher?"
There was a frightening expression on his face at the mention of more student deaths. "No one... no one will die here. Not on my watch. Not anymore...." Danni was saved, but the loss of Ella was still fresh for Ophiuchus.

"Kill you?" He seemed a bit startled by this. "Scaleboy I'm sickened that with all your intellect you haven't seen why you survived. Its the rest of these fools I want dead." The malevolence seemed to flow so smoothly from his throat. "If you die...that experiment of mine dies with you." Pang after pang of fiery pain hit Ialo's arm as the curse flared up.
