((Didn't mean to cause any sort of uproar... anyway. I sent Venom the jazz associated with chakras (it's all in 7/8; would you believe it?) so that ought to be up shortly unless there are some things I need to fix, which would not be altogether unprecedented. If you all want to make use of it, please do, as long as your characters have a care for the basic ins and outs of the system and realize that it's either all chakras or none. There is no in-between. There's a lot to be done with different religions/mythologies/beliefs, and I'm always of the opinion they should be used to their full potential in fantasy fiction biggrin )) Siber pulled himself out of the Dumpster, noticing a failing of its physical integrity from Paul's shots through it, and landed gracelessly on the ground. *fwump*
He pulled himself up to his feet dizzily, holding the metal beside him for support, and tried to analyze the situation.
He took it off. He shook his head and ran a hand through his hair.
Finally, he saw Joe and Paul leveling themselves against Samuel, apparently intent on killing him. He also saw huge bloodstains where the Sage had been, but from his own experience, he knew that really didn't mean anything. At least he couldn't feel the Sage anymore, and that was what was most important.
"Wait! Everyone! Behold, I have the blue flag! I have seen the top of the mountain and... You get the point.
"I am confuzzled. I'm sure that we can all sit down and figure all this out like normal, ancestrally-possessed human beings."

And uproar? I'm just asking why in the name of the high heavens I would have the least objection to the way you're handling your demons. As far as I'm concerned, they're essentially your characters and your abilities. Since this is so, as long as the Venomater has no issues with it, it seems to me you have full reign to describe, explain, and utilize. Of course, because I offer this, I expect it in return. biggrin
Oh, ha, and I should mention. I'm leaving tomorrow for a week. But! I will have the internet, I just might not get chances to post. And if I do post, I don't know that they'll be long. I'll be back and running by Sunday next for sure though.))

"Hey Siber. If you actually get them to stop fighting long enough to say... oh, six sentences each, I'll give you this twenty," Paul told Siber, pulling a $20 bill from his pants pocket. "But if not... uh... heck, what do you have on you?" he inquired.

((No no, I didn't mean from you, SirBayer. I saw Venom's post and I was like, "Whoa, I wasn't even trying to be forceful and here is all this defensivity." I mean, not that it's not appreciated, but it's not as though opposition would have stopped me.
Grecian gods would probably be a heavenly power, anyway, and the dæmons would not probably appreciate that xd But, you know, as you said, I'll respect your rights to whatever unless it gets out of hand and then, as with anything else, I'll put subtle things in my posts to indicate my feeling on the matter ninja biggrin ))
Siber's eyes widened at the money. "Dude, I have, like, six two-mil. vials of silver cyanide and about ten bucks. I'll give you a vial if I can't get it done."
He turned his attention back to the fray, needing a response from one of the other two as an indicator for where he should head from here.

((OK...OK.
I fully accept the stupidity of touching a shield, regardless of the fact that I had no idea it was Annihilation. However.
You guys are going to go off on me about godmodding and all that, but when I try to do something nice and take a hit [which I have yet to see anyone else do], even though in this case, based on Joe's own background and the stuff that's been in his profile since the very beginning, I could easily say that he dodged it effortlessly, I let the attack land.
And then you're going to tell me that it's an instant kill. Does that sound fair to anyone?
Oh, and no one should be able to have a problem with Siber's demons. He designed and created them. They're whatever he damn well pleases they are.

Joe didn't notice for a moment, but then he felt it...Yup, there it was.
PAIN.
He fell back, holding his arms in and away from Sam. "No!" he said to Siber and Paul as they planned their intervention. "This is my fight. Win or lose, I'm in this until the end. Thank you, but no."
With that, Joe began forcing healing magic into his hands, hoping to restore them. He kept his eyes on Sam, waiting for him to make a move.

((Hey, relax, Joe. I'm not exactly sure what Venom sees as being so god-moding. You're channeling a Djinni. When I bring Darius around, he's going to do some damage. I'm counting on that being okay with Venom, since he described Darius as nearly as powerful as the most powerful of Legion's demons, so I'm anticipating some damage. So if you're chanelling a Djinni... well Djinnis are pretty powerful, aren't they?
I'm not trying to fight you, Venom, just so you know. I'm trying to understand here.
Edit: I'm sure I said something stupid somewhere in this post but I can't figure out where. If someone could help me figure out why I'm an idiot... sweatdrop ))
Paul sighed. "Joe, if you start to lose, I'm going to help you. I'm not going to let you kill yourself in a battle of honor, and I'd rather have you alive, dishonored, and furious with me than dead, honorable, and happy with me. Understand?"

((Dude, Joe... not to be chastising at all... but the shield is identical to Rice's, which was annihilation, and just on a statistical basis, your character has taken some of the fewest hits here and there have definitely been other characters who took hits. For example, Siber was where for the last few minutes? In a Dumpster. Blacked out. Paul has taken falls, even Helmsborough took, wait for it... smashes into concrete. So let's not get offensive just because we're suddenly lacking palms. xd
Also... you kind of were godmoding for a few posts there. Sorry.))
"Hey, if you want to die, I'm fine with it, just so long as you know why you're doing it. Do either of you know for an absolute fact the motivation behind the current battle? If not, you're fools I'm not going to waste my time on. Don't listen to me though. I'm apologetic even when I've been violently insulted. smile ))
Paul slapped Athena in frustration. "Fine, fine!" Paul responded aggravatedly. "But I judge when it's gone far enough. When you're hurt, you're out, you got that?" Paul snapped. Joe already looked hurt, but he wasn't dying by any means, not yet, so Joe could have his honor for now.

I realize that others have taken hits, but I'm talking about since Venom brought up godmodding, I haven't really noticed people getting all beat up. You were in the Dumpster out of your own volition, if I recall correctly.
And I know I was godmodding! That was the point of me bothering to take a hit from Sam! I know you've read my profile; in this case, it really would make sense for Joe to be able to outclass him in terms of melee combat, not taking the shield into account.))
"Of course I know!" Joe snapped at Siber. "He tried to kill me. This isn't the first time. But this time, the difference is that he had backup and he was willing to attempt killing me when I was lying on the ground wounded. So I'm not going to be letting him off easy. Go if you feel the need."

((Okay, I see. You just still seemed to be defensive on the godmode topic, was all. And hey, Siber never wanted to be in a Dumpster. Could someone that focused on aesthetics really do that intentionally? xd Don't take stuff so personally xd ; if I had wanted to be harsh, you'd know. I've been harsh before in this RP; I just mostly do it through in-character stuff rather than OOC.))

((The problem, Joe, is as you said - you claim you'd outclass him disregarding the shield. The thing is, every element of magic introduced into combat changes its dynamics radically. It's like saying, "Well if the Sage didn't have his Physics Beam" or even denying Siber access to the demons from a given one of his chakras.
The instant-death thing was and is not supposed to happen. I'm saying it harms in a different way than your post described it. sweatdrop ))

OK. I can live with that. And I know, the shield is a big thing. But like I've said, I accept that it was stupid to touch it. I actually thought that as I was hitting the "Submit" button.
And regardless of the level of injury, I'll just throw it under the healing that Joe is currently doing, making it leg, hands, and chest. Is that acceptable?))

((The annihilation-y field only destroys what it intersects with and nothing more. If you poke it, for instance, you lose your fingertips and nothing else. And yeah, I suppose that would work fine. xd
