"I would like to be... but I am a little small to be taken sriously by most people. Besides I think I am really more interested in the actual moves than the fighting itself. Back home I learned to fight to take care of myself, not to hurt other people..." 3nodding That was said a bit more slowly, obviosly the meaning behind the words meaning more to her on this issue.

"Ah"

Dark was impressed by her reply. Not many people responded in such a mature way, especially with youngsters. As a result, he was curious about her.

"Mind showing me a few moves?"

He asked, wanting to gauge her ability and potential to develop. Saron was still taking her time, and he was sure that she would not mind, being the warm soul that she was.

"You could cut yourself, if you aren't careful, Musset" Dark warned, smiling all the while. "I said, show me one of your moves. I didn't mean play about with a knife. Anyone could do that"

He was rather disappointed by the display, but it did not show on the surface. However, he did admire her spirits and guts. He looked at her keenly, awaiting a response. He said it rather harshly, but he wanted to know her temperament. Dark was still curious about Musset.

"True, most people can play with knives, and honestly it is the best way to take down most things that are bigger than me. That is what I was taught to do Mr. Dark sir... make certain that what threatens me is either dead, or realizes that I am not worth its time, long before it gets to me!" Her eyes narrowed a bit as she looked up at him and she tossed both the tart and her knife high in the air, dipping down and pivoting on her right heel as her left foot swept out fast and hard in a simple sweep kick, pulling her foot back in as she completed the turn and pushed back up, just in time to catch the tart and the knife.

Muse slipped the knife back up her sleeve and took a little bite out of the side of the tart. "Like I said, I'm more interested in the moves than hurting people."

Korek tripped over his foot. He fell towards the ground, and didn't even bother to catch himself. When he hit the ground, he gasped for a little bit of breath, and then lay his head down. He had been traveling for a couple of months now, and never been so exhausted. He needed food, and needed more than anything rest. He knew he was running from something, but what was still unclear. The shinobi in his villiage told him he should leave before any moe attacks happened. He did as they requested, but also with one other agreement: To forget about them, and that he was now dead to the villiage.

He finally found the strength to push himself to his knees, but no further. He looked further down the road he had been traveling on, and sighed. He groped the hilt of his Banshee Swords, and forced himself off the ground. As he rose, he looked up and saw that there was a town further down. He smirked, and then slid his left hand over his money puch on his right hip. It was nearly empty, so he didn't exactly know what to do for food. With this knowledge, he headed for the town. As he trecked, he figured he would be able to find a bench or an alley to sleep in, which would give him enough energy to work for gold. And if needed, steal it.

As Korek moved on, he began to hear the sounds of what was more than just a mere town. It was a shoretown, and also, it seemed full of the chaos of everyday people living their everyday lives. He so wished he could be one of those people. But, being an assassin basically kept him from doing that. Thinking about all this gave him a headache, and him being exhausted as he was, it didn't help. He neared the town, and fell to his knees again.

Get up Korek. You are stronger than this! Maser wouldn't have allowed me to break like this. I can't allow myself to either.

He pulled himself up one last time, and kept on moving towards the town. As he neared further, he saw a gate that had some guards by it. He grunted, and then progressed on towards teh gate. Whence he reached it, and started to wlak though, he noticed the guard on his left eying him, keeping a careful watch so as to make sure Korek didn't pull anything. But Korek doubted that the guard noticed Korek eying him. As Korek walked into the town, he tensed. His muscles were so sore that this hurt him, but he didn't care. He made his way through, pulling his Bnashee Blades along thier belts so that they went straight up and down with his legs. He didn't want to catch onto anyone with them. He walked by a darkened alleyway, and made his move for that. As he pushed his way through the crowd, he felt his nearly empty money pouch get lifted off his belt. He could barely muster the mental or physical strength to care. He just wanted to rest and get food.

As he pushed through to the alleyway, he untucked his shirt, revealing a long, solid black, hooded cloak. He sat against a wall, and slid onto the ground. He untied the ropes that held the cloak in place, and then pulled it in front of him. It covered his leather chest plate. This meant that hopefuly somoene would think he was stupid, had fallen asleep in an alley, would slit his throat, steal his valuables, and go on with their lives. He owuldn't le that happen, instead he planed on killing anyone and taking their valuables if they attempted this. He knew this was not right, but he really had no other choices. He began to doze off, and fell sidewas, laying on the ground.

Reiko's show, although impressive, did little to disuade Silver. He stepped forward again, raising his fists to his side, clentched tight. He had that determined look on his face again, as if Reiko's words had had the opposite of the intended effect.

"So what?! Do you think I'm affraid of death?! That I'm not willing to lay my life on the line, to not give everything that I have... is that what you think?"

Silver's head lowered, casting his eyes in shadow, but his fists raised slightly, shaking now. For the first time in the battle, tears streamed down his cheeks. Through all the pain he had indured, this, being regarded as weak, hurt the most.

"Don't think so little of me, Reiko. I have too much riding on this to not risk everything I have. How could I ever face those who have dedicated their time to teaching me again if I give up now...?"

Both of his fists erupted into bright, silvery white flame, illuminating the evening air all around Silver, casting his whole body in a light glow. His head slowly raised.

"I'd rather die than..."

Suddenly, he shot forward at blinding speed, small burning imprints left in the ground where his feet had been, an intense wave of battle aura shooting out in all directions. His right fist raised, both hands leaving long trails of fire in the air behind him.

"LOSE TO YOU!"

"!"

Reiko turned around instantly with the look of shock and rage on his face. He had red lines descending from the edges of his mouth and a big bruise on his chest. The ironman Sakagami was badly damaged. Damaged and mad.

His arms were crossed in front of his chest, forming a flat X formation. With this, he took Silver's blow directly. As Silver made contact with him, a burst of red rushed like a wave off of the point of impact, off to the outline of his body as if he were a 2d figure, then into the air.

There was no recoil. He stood there like a colossus... as he tried to regather himself... then, he uncrossed his arms and snatched at Silver's collar with his left while rearing a fist with the right then he raised his fist and "winded up" for the final death blow..

CH-CHK

"That's the last of them!" The nearly overly bubbly voice exclaimed, even as the stapler gun was lowered. A deep blue flyer was seen, the markings of a Leviathan and information on the grand opening of the Stadium were detail in it; and all the rest of the hundreds of flyers that had been placed all around Latent.

Word was getting out... and the people would come. For pride, for glory, and for the blood. They would all come to that one place that connected them all.

Similarly posted, all around were posters advertising the annual Heaven or Hell tournament. It had finally come to their region and fighters from all across Barton, Durem as well as Latent were flocking. Latent would be the boom town, and the days ahead showed nothing but promise.

Let's rock.

Hi Im Reiko

Reiko was detached from Silver and sent skidding back into a kneeling position. A third hit. Except now he had gotten sense knocked into him. Not really knocked into him, but seeing that black flame...

"The same thing that saved Kasuga's a**..."

He stood up straight and looked at Silver for a moment. Then turned his back to him again, but this time he started walking away without looking back.

He should have a happier color... for that, I'll return to you Nekki-sensei.

Back to the yellow.

The black flame receded, but did not dissapear completely. It remained to cover most of Silver's body, scorching parts of his clothes and searing his flesh. His eyes opened briefly to see Reiko walking away, but quickly shut again trying to fight off the pain.

"Reeiiikkooo... g-gaaaooohh..."

His hand reached out to Reiko, wrapped in black fire, beckoning for him to come back. Silver didn't know what was going on, but his whole body burned with searing pain. Still, through it all, he felt the irresistable urge to keep fighting. He wanted more.

"Wh... why... Why is my blood boiling? GRAUGH!"

Silver fell to his knees, wrapping his arms around his torso to clutch at it, trying to fight off the pain and the bloodlust.

Kill him.

No.

KILL HIM.

No!

Isn't that what you want? To win? To be strong?

Not like that! I don't want to kill anybody!

Finally, through either sheer force of will, or simply just physical and mental exhaustion, the black flame finally died down. Silver fully collapsed onto the ground in a trembling heap, arms still wrapped around himself. Long smoke trails wreathed upwards into the air off his body.

Days passed, unbeknownst to Silver. All he knew was darkness. The darkness in his own mind in which he floated. Alone. The eye was gone. The voice was gone. There was just him. Was he dead? Had Reiko delievered the final blow? It sure seemed like it. He didn't know. The final events of that last battle were a mystery even to him. Something in his head had spoken to him at the very last moment, and then there was the darkness. He didn't know what happened. He couldn't remember. From the shock, maybe...

It seemed to last eternity, but it only lasted an instant. Suddenly, there was a light. It flooded his mind as he came racing back to consciousness.

Silver jolted up into a sitting position. He was in that bed again. The same bed in the same room he had woken up in just like last time. Mitsuyo must have found him curled up on the ground outside. He looked down to find his body wrapped in bandages, further evidence at least someone had found him.

Funny thing was, even after the beating he'd taken, he felt fine now. The swelling had dissapeared and the bones had healed.

How long have I slept this time...?

Silver raised a hand to scratch at his head through disheveled bed-hair, as he thought to himself idley. Surely, it had been weeks again. Come to think of it, he felt really warm. Maybe he had slept through winter this time. At anyrate, he desperately needed a shower.

He climbed out of the bed and discarded the used bandages on the floor, they not doing him any good now, and dissapeared into the bathroom.

Sometime later, Silver came wandering into the main living area, dressed only in his fighting pants, the ones with the little white flames embroidered on the bottom, and a towel drapped across his shoulders. His hair was still unkempt, but at least it was clean now. It's a good thing he never attempted to tame it, else he might bear a striking resemblence to someone he knew... at least in that person's younger days...

For now, it would remain unruley and constantly hanging over one eye.

Silver patted his face with the towel, and let out a long sigh of relief. He still felt a lot warmer than he probably should have been, but the cool air against his skin was nice.

He padded about the house in his bare feet, heading for the kitchen. Chow time.

At the same time, the absence of another person in particular struck him as kind of odd. He called out into the house, targeting no specific area.

"Mitsuyo, are you here?"

"You sure took your time sleeping."

The slightly feral voice filled the room, as Silver got closer to the kitchen. Standing there in nothing but an oversized blue jersey (which just barely managed to cover her crotch and behind), with the fridge door open, was Mitsuyo. A carton of milk was in her hand, and a ring of milk around her lips, even as she brought a forearm across to wipe it. Her hair was pulled into several quick buns, and she looked like she had just gotten up herself.

Bare feet padding across the floor, she tossed the carton in his direction. "You all better now?"
