Out of the corner of his eye, Jett sighed. They Royal Seer had decided to make his rare appearance, and, of course, decided to do something bizarre, such as dancing with another male.
Madriir simply leered at Liozu/Empress. "I don't care what it looks like. If I cared at all what people thought, I wouldn't be here....Ah...what to do...whatever shall I do?" His expression changed to one of false terror. "Oh no...whatever shall I do? The most dangerous youkai in the entire world has taken possesion of a Dragon, and will most likely destroy our Lord. I'm shaking in my boots!" He was clearly making fun of her.

Great. Now Liozu remembered why he usually tried his outmost at avoiding the Seer, and had never even thought of going to him with his dream-memories. Who would dare to go to a man that would most likely make unpleasant fun of you if you tried to tell him? Tightening his hands into fists, Liozu shook in the bonds the threads made, and, strangely, for the first time of the admittedly, as of yet, short possession, the Empress was just as angry/disgusted as Liozu was.
"Should I have taken the Queen, instead? Murdering your Lord in his marriage bed does sound delicious," Liozu sneered, the expression hidden by momentarily ducking his head. Though the idea was abominable, whether or not the Empress could do it; that would involve a man, a decendant of that wretch Cesia no less!, who was extremely important to raze all memory of, and Rath, to touch her. And that... was not acceptable.
Besides, she still wanted to kill the disgusting worm with her own hands, and not someone elses. She wanted to feel that spark of bright, tainted light go out under her hands, her power. Nothing less would do. And she might mock, but she never made light of any threat. However small, it was still a threat.

"I have great doubts about your ability to possess our soon-to-be Queen. She seems of greater strength of mind, then, say, Liozu." Madiir's smirk never once left his face as the pair danced across the floor.

You hear that? He's insulting you, darling. And we both know your "strenght of mind" isn't why I'm here. Isn't that funny? Empress laughed mentally while slowly collecting up the magic needed; it was rather slow going, what with having to work through someone else, but as Liozu was sensitive, it was easier than it could have been. And the Seer was human, that would also make it infinitely easier.
Shut up! He's... Why the hell did he even try, anyway? Apparently Madiir did think that. Gritting his teeth, Liozu fisted his hands impotently again. Empress laughed somewhere to the right and behind him.
He's insulting you, little lizard. Insulting you, when I'm here because you're special. And special, in most, not very beneficient for you, ways. Empress laughed again, then withdrew, having collected the strenght needed to place the faint illusion/suggestion, without making it detectable. ***
Outside, Liozu narrowed his eyes for a moment, an aura of hurt radiating around him. Very real too, as Empress had let Liozu's feelings creep through at that moment.
"How rude," he said with a pout, and then... laughed. High and bright and without even so much a shade of strangeness or danger, and just as it usually was. His cheerful smile held none of the strange tilt it had had since this morning.
"And you actually believed all that, Madiir? I mean, saying I'm of less mental strenght than the future Queen is rather rude... I am a Knight," Liozu raised an eyebrow, still smiling.
"Joke's on you, though. I don't know what you think you've seen, but you've got to have eaten something bad earlier. A Youkai Empress?" Liozu laughed, leaned up close to Madiir's face and snickered in a friendly tease.
"I hope you don't mind letting people think we're way too friendly!" Liozu laughed again and stepped back, and in the same moment as he bowed, let the illusion/suggestion go, covering Madiir and then seeping in. It was such a small, slight thing, it would be near imperceptible. Wouldn't even be noticed as an unnatural part of Madiir's mind... until it was too late.
"Have fun at the party, Madiir. But I would practice my dancing if I were you," smiling brightly, Liozu left the dance floor, eyes roving the large hall.

((Micoi: How rude! *throws small appetizers at Liozu* >( ))
Micoi stared at the Dragon Lord, first time she had seen him, which actually only was earlier today, he hadn't presented himself at such... but it had been rather obvious he had been the leader of the group. Albeit, a bit of a soft leader, he didn't seem like one to raise his voice too often for some reason. She noticed as Liozu stepped off to the side, someone else walking up towards him, but she didn't put it on her mind because she had another dilemma at hand now... "Uhm... I'm sorry, Dragon Lord," she hurried to add his title, not knowing if she was supposed to do that or not. "I can't... What I mean is, I don't know any of Dusis's dances... Kanak was never much of a dancer himself and so I only know one of Arinas's dances and..." Micoi went quite, staring at Jett but not seeing him as she recalled something from her memory. She smiled at it before focusing on the other dragon again. "The only other dance I know, that might be okay on this kind of event, me and Kanak learnt from a large wall carving in the temple we lived in. But," she laughed softly here, "it took us about a week to figure out the movements, their order and to learn them and guess, on an about, what kind of music would have been played to it," she finished with a cheerful smile.
((Boooow down to her cheeerinessss! XD; Kidding.))

Jett was taken aback for just a moment. Of course she wouldn't know their dances! She'd never even BEEN to Dusis before! "Ah," he hesitated for a second, before coming up with a split-second change of plans. "Alright, then. How about we simply take our seats?" He indicated to the two thrones, "We will simply watch the others."
Madiir simply gritted his teeth as Liozu's stupid joke revealed itself. Stupid Dragon Knight and his miserable tricks. He had forgotten Liozu's prankster nature, and a joke like this seemed right up his alley. The Seer sulked off to retrive a drink. His mind seemed a little fuzzy, but that could easily be due to all the people around him. Madiir hated large groups.

"Sit?" The young woman turned her eyes towards the grand chairs, the suddenly seemed so big and... objects of attention. All she really felt like doing was to disappear into the mass. She turned her eyes back onto the Dragon Emperor, a questioning look in her eyes. "Uhm, how... how long will this evening be?" she asked him, tilting her head, going for light conversation to get a bit more at ease with the situation.

"Ah...probably long than you would like, Lady Micoi..." It felt only proper to address her with a title, even if she has no offical one. He gently seated her in the only slightly smaller throne, then he gracefully sat down at the other one. "But...it's all a part of the game..."

"Game?" She blinked up at him, questioningly. "What kind of game?" Only in speech or an actualy game...?

"The game of politics and ruling. That is all it seems to be, some days. Do not worry, you will get used to it. In the meantime, I will try to shield you from most of it." Jett gave her a wan smile. Politics could certainly get ugly, and it simply didn't seem fair to Jett for a new 'player' to simply be dropped into the 'game' without someone to help her along.

Micoi blinked once before smiling, one corner of her mouth pushing a bit higher than the other, making it look like she was smirking ever so lightly. "Don't worry about me, I can take care of myself. If I could survive for over a century in Arinas, all alone except for Kanak, then surely I can handle whatever comes my way." From her way of talking it seemed rather clear that she didn't think that the, to her, docile Dusis and all its city-dwellers could pose much of a challenge. It might be true and it might not, only time would tell.

"You might find this alot different from surviving in Arinas," Jett replied, but he did not challange her strength. She had to be strong, to have survived. "But I think you will be able to adapt. At least, that is what I sincerely hope." He was being sincere. "Tell me more about your life on Arinas. What was it like?"

She seemed to brighten up at the mention of her birth place. "Well..." she said with a smile as she seemed to go over in her mind what was best to start with from all she knew. "It's a wonderful place, the magic flows so strong there, iy always feel like you're surrounded by it, down to the lightest breeze is filled with it. It's like magic is always hugging you lightly. I feel safe there, I always have and always will." It would always be her first home, whatever happened. "It is, of course, filled with many different and sometimes quite dangerous youkai, I have to confess. But none of them has really not posed any threat lately, during the last 60 years or so. Of course, I'm not completely without scars from some of the more even battles I got into." Then she smiled brightly. "I was really lucky to have my dear friends, Kanak especially has helped me so much and have endured me. I really do owe him. Some things must have been really hard on him..." she mused, seeming to think of certain thigns as she lost focus on Jett, thinking back to different occasions.

....Kanak... A small twinge of jealousy pricked at Jett's heart, sending ripples and causing something to stir. But the part and the people was distracting, and Jett could not feel too bad. "Are there other people you call friends?"

"Yes," she said with a very soft and caring smile, her mind wandering to the dark faerie. "Meeya, a member of the Spirit Tribe. He's very dear to me and despite that Kanak usually pick on him a bit when he's visiting, my youkai is somewhat friendly with him," she laughed lightly. "Perhaps Kanak accepts him to such a degree because Meeya needs it. You see, Meeya was born in Kainaldia and because of that... there has been certain difficulties for him," she explained. "You know," she fixed her eyes onto Jett's inky orbs. "You do owe Kanak a whole lot. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him," she smiled brightly. "I would be dead." She said it like it was the easiest thing in the world, as if it didn't matter... so trivial.
