The goths were with the goths, the jocks with the jocks. He did not have a place anymore. He would never return to the Coven and he now realized he would never be permitted to step foot on lycan territory. He would have no home.

He just didn't know anymore. Kill a brother vampire? He didn't think he would be able to do something of that caliber. He sat down next to a penny fountain and stared at his reflection? "What am I...?" he whispered to himself.

Ceon wrapped his arm around Layna, feeling like the world was trying to kill him and Layna. "Then I don't know what to tell you. You can either try to convince the alpha-male or be miserable about it."

Ceon couldn't help but burst into laughter at hearing those words in that order. "You............ you are a funny vamp, I'll give you that! But still, that would be as bad as suicide."

"I don't have to win. I just have to prove that I am worthy." He looked at the penny he tossed into the water. It had sunken and collected with the other pennies. Maybe there was hope after all.

"A life with the lycans," Kuro walked into the mall and began talking, "that sounds like something I could do." He began walking to the bench with his arms folded, "what do I have to do that I already haven`t to prove i`m trustworthy." He laughed hard then looked at the other vampire, "I think it`s safe to say, only one of us will get in if any." Kuro said, now with a completly serious tone.

Layna flinched at Zarathos's voice before staring at the vampire. "You'd actually try to fight Jaden? He's pure instinct. He'll rip you to shreds." She whispered, staring at the ground for a moment.

Layna nodded slightly. She gently touched his hand and pulled it to the front. She stared at it for a moment, messing with his fingers and touching his palm. She murmured quietly under her breath, "They don't quite like us though...." She placed his hand on her stomach after a moment, and smiled softly.

Ceon smiled back as he kept his hand on her stomach, sensing the slightest movements every minute or so. He was overjoyced that he would be a father. He was glad that Layna was his mate. But he was also scared or Layna. They had been attacked so often he grew afraid that Layna and the child would be hurt. He whispered once more. "I know, but I just can't help but think something's going on that I don't know about. If we're lucky, Jaden will kill both of the vampires."
