As his father above him moved, Mchele dashed to keep up. Of course running underneath an adult lion, even if he was his dad, wasn't the best place to be so he quickly darted out and kept alongside. He was nearly as fast of course, but the older lions slowed down every-so-often and let him catch up.

As he loped after them he wondered about what mum had been saying to Danzi. "Find someone? A pretty girl?" He asked his older brother. "Why'd you need one of them? Kib's ok. Dunno about pretty but she's a girl. And why do you need a mane first?" He clearly had no idea about what their mother had meant.

User ImageBakhti let out a smile as she watched her children go off. A good bonding session with their father, that was great news! She turned once out of sight and headed back to Pride Rock where she could rest and not worry about a thing.

User ImageKburi sped up, trotting at her father's heels and occasionally tapping at his tail with her paw. They seemed to be an obsession with her and she couldn't resist chasing them when they swooshed this way and that.

"Daaa~ddy! How much further?" She queried, paying no heed to Mchele and Danzi. The thoughts of love and finding a mate were far from her mind, that sort of emotion hadn't even been considered by her young mind.

All she knew now was her desire to be free, and that exerted everything else.

The orange male chuckled at his little adoptive sister's antics. How he'd missed out as a cub on that. Of course, why not make up for lost time? He looked up at Mahiri. "Yeah, are we there yet?"

Of course, he didn't miss Mchele's question. "To help create more little cubs. And I prefer to have a mane because that means I'm a full adult. I'm not ready QUITE yet to be having cubs of my own. Maybe when you're bigger, Dad can explain it better than me."

Mahiri let out a deep rumble. "Seems yourr mother and sister are having an adventure!" He grinned widely. "Time for our own little adventure then, eh boys?!" He nudged at Danzi and turned to pad faster, watching Mchele to make sure he could keep up. "Time for hunting!" He was rather clumsy when it came to hunting, but hoped her could show his family some of his more devoloped skills.

"Ahhh, a princess, well then it's an honor." Mwali tipped his head a bit, smirking to himself. This would be the second royal he had met... poor little Simba had been the first. He had heard of the young prince's death around the same time as he had gotten word of his own family's death. He fought his expression to remain as casual as ever, pushing the thoughts back in his mind. I have a new life now... a new family..., and he wouldn't loose them.

He gave another smile to Jasiri, but an uncertain one. True he had proven that he wasn't a threat to the pride... but mixing his blood with that of the pridelands? Royal blood from two enemy sides... it was unheard of, discraceful in the eyes of his pride. He knew only of how his pride would have dealt with it.. he'd lived through one such incident. A young lioness having gotten pregnant with a rouge's cubs. An insult to the blood of the Goddess- his father had killed the lioness once he had found out, what became of the cubs he had never rightly heard but he assumed they'd been sloughtered just as their mother had.... and that was a rogue.... a lion with no pride to speak of to even be an enemy of the firekin. If he was to return- not only as a 'traitor prince' but as a father to halfbreeds between their glorious divine blood and the blood of their pride's sworn enemy....

The great lion shuddered a bit, turning his attention to the present. The pridelanders weren't as brutal... but he found it a safe habbit to assume the worst.

"Well little one... would you be so kind as to escort your humble hunter to your mother? I just need a few words."

Kiuma made a face, scrunching up her nose and snorting. "You want to see Mom? Can't imagine why..." Snorting again, she seemed to make up her mind and rose with a flirt of her tail, turning to lead the way to Priderock. "This way, I'll show you where Mom spends most of her time. She doesn't leave Priderock much anymore, so I'm sure she'll be waiting for us." Trotting through the grass, her little tufted tail swinging behind her, the cub made her way towards the impressive landmark she called home.

At the top of the large outcropping, the feline that was their destination watched as the group approached. Her calm red eyes held nothing but curiousity and joy. Mwali had been gone a long time. It was just wonderful to see the remnants of their pride trickling back in. So much had changed that it was refreshing to see this little bit of something from the past, unchanged. One reminder of just how much had changed made itself known as the Queen rose to decend from the tip of Priderock. Muscles spoke of fatigue, the familiar lethargy dragging at her paws. The slight weight of her body, greatly reduced from what it once was, was still too much for her to carry for long. Angles that hadn't been there before were prominent everywhere, her ribs clearly seen through her pelt.

Still, Sarabi moved with a quiet elegance and gracefulness, refusing to give in to her ravaged body when there was an old friend to greet. She smiled as she remembered the day she had taken him out to hunt, and the zebra she'd had to drag nearly all the way back to Priderock.

When they reached the base of Priderock, Kiuma forgot her escort duties and bounded ahead, leaving her companions to go and greet her mother. "Momma!" she called, purring. "We've got visiters. This one says he wants to talk to you." The cub twined around her mother's forelegs, purring happily.

(( Umm... Bluefire, could I be a pest and ask you to add this little profile for Mchele in the Prindlander information please? So long as it's all ok of course.

Mchele -- The first born son of Bahkti and Mahiri, Mchele is a home-loving juvenile and doesn't wander far from his parents or home. A real mother's boy and somewhat of a sook, he isn't nearly as adventurous or active as the other Pridelander lions, and even lionesses, that are his age. This tends to make him closest to his immediate family and in particular his sister Kiburi.

Ah.. The pridelands.. So full of life. The last time they'd been here.. it'd been such a fond memory.
It'd taken the fox ages to get here... More than a few scratches littered her back from the ocassional bird of prey deciding she'd be an easy meal. They'd have been right before Wokovu... But never underestimate the power of a mother. A rather unhappy mother at that.

And so.. She'd finally made it. Old, tattered, and worn out. She just.. had to make it a bit farther.. To the giant rock.

She heaved herself up the stone... Earning more than a few hungry looks from the lions around. Yakuti had no time to be frightened as she would have before.
Her paws dragged as she went up, she could feel the dried blood on her fur. It'd gathered sand and all sorts of things, leaving it very uncomfortable, everything about her was uncomfortable.

Then.. A shot of hope hit her. There it was.. that unmistakable spot of red fur at the top.
A smile hit her face as she tried to quicken her pace to catch him "Mwali..." she muttered out weakly, her voice harsh from lack of water. She wasn't sure if he heard her... She hardly picked up her own voice with her large ears.

With her family gone Bakhti had been curious of the new male and had gone to investigate, she had also reached him just at the new female had. She tilted her head slightly looking at the female and then at the male and then at the princess and then at Jasari. She knew none of them but being part of the pride she had the right to know them, right? She thought so and watched them as she sat down, she wouldn't say anything yet, the female looked awful and the female was a fox, strange!

Jasiri had followed behind Mwali and the cub, watching the little thing curiously. She was quite energetic and adorible. Jasi's thoughts soon waverd to what her children would be like, and she slipped into a day dream. She was soon woken by this however, when they reached the queen. Jasiri nodded her respects to the queen before wispering in Mwali's ear, "Goodluck brother." and turning the oppisite way towards priderock to maybe rest in its shadows. Jasiri was nearly there when she heard a soft wimpering sound, one she recognized amediately. "Yakuti?" She said, her head turning this way and that trying to find the fox, hoping it wasnt her imagination. She sniffed the air, the salty smell of fresh blood filling her nose. "Yakuti!" She yelled as she searched the grass helplessly looking for her friend. Finnaly she found her, and scooped her up in her arms to lick her wounds. "Yakuti, its me, Jasiri remember? Oh Yakuti what happend? Where are the others?"

Mwali smiled sheepishly as he was introduced, giving a glance back to his sister before continuing up to see the queen. Poor creature... she seemed so thin, so weak now. Her body wasn't at all like he remembered it before he had taken Koho to the desert with him. Dispite the weakness in her body there was an odd strength about her still, a gentle but demanding presence befitting of a queen. "Highness...", he bowed himself as best he could, finding it ironic to be doing so still. He was sure that wherever his father had been laid to rest he was turning over with spite.

"I didn't mean to bother your rest... I won't take much of your time."

Kiuma giggled to see this large adult lion bowing to her mother. She still wasn't used to seeing others treat her mother like a queen. After all... Sarabi was her Mother... Even if she was a queen.

Sarabi chuckled, her sides heaving with the little huffs of air. "Of course you're not bothering me, Mwali. I wasn't asleep anyway. And why won't you take much of my time? Come now, you're home after so long! I want to hear all about your journey, and about our dear Koho. Where is she, by the way? I would like to greet her too." She smiled softly as she sank back on her haunches, wooden beads bouncing and clicking against her creamy chest.

Kiuma soon got bored with standing by her mother and snuck around behind Mwali. Her bright eyes studied him avidly, and she even went to far as to pad up close to him silently, and timidly stick out a paw to compare her red coat to his. Her little puffed tail swayed behind her in her concentration, oblivious to her surroundings.

Yakuti smiled faintly, being plucked from her spot by a large lion. TO any other fox.. thsi woul dhave been a horrible matter.
But to the oddball all was well.

"Jasiri.." she nodded "Ofcourese i remember." Her ears turned downward as she let out a sigh "I'm not sure what happend to Teule-But.. Wokovu was.. Taken."
She looked back to Jasiri, dismayed at the fact. "Dih-ji... And..." She wavered a bit, the lack of water apparent as her speech seemed ot drift off into some sort of random speech.
