Alrighty then; I shall be organizing a Firefly group viewing for after Christmas! I've got a really mellow/inactive guild where I'll post the viewing schedule and where we can discuss teh awesomeness and all that jazz. There and not here because other non-Kapow! members want to participate. whee

I'm a DragonBall fan (yes, I prefer the series to DBZ), and I am not so hot on this here film...

Looks like it'll be a flop... but some of my friends are DBZ fans to the extreme... I'll probably be dragged.

Chris Powell No offense to Dragonball fans...but that looks so bad... It is in no way an offense to DragonBall fans, don't worry. The film is certainly a revisionist point-of-departure adaptation, it has little reference to what fans like about the original series other then character names and roles.

They made Goku white. Brrrrr. It just feels so blatantly calculated in a cast otherwise dominated by "ethnic" actors. Like that damn movie with Shia LeBoeuf, Jackie Chan, and Jet Li. Or Bulletproof Monk. I really do not think that the American moviegoing audience is that ******** xenophobic.

You should see what they're planning to do to the live-action cast of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Querl Dox You should see what they're planning to do to the live-action cast of Avatar: The Last Airbender. I have, and I thank the stars that I could not care less about either franchise beyond the hideously Aryan casting agenda. This is how I know that neither of the comics I'm working on could ever see a movie screen, and I'm heartened by that.
