Gendis looked Owen over. "Where'd you come from, rookie? How is it you learned to fly, but not to shoot?"
He was gruff, almost intimidating, but it was obviously not meant to be serious.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Kefka asked Gendis suspiciously, as he followed them into the room.

((Gendis is already seated))
Gendis looked up at Kefka and offered him a wink.

Jakar excitedly strolled in to the room and took the seat closest to the entrance/exit. He leaned back and relaxed, waiting for instruction.

Looking Gendis over, Owen went to sit down. Staring him in the eye, Owen said, "For your information, I've been with the squad since Hoth. Plus, I can shoot fine. Just ask Z." He wasn't sure he liked this guy at all. "Who the kriff are you, anyway?" He asked after he sat down.

((gotcha confused with a different character...))
Gendis raised his hands in a sign of nonagression, "Hey, easy! Sheesh, I'm out of the cockpit a little while..." He rolled his eyes and smiled, offering his hand. "Gendis Adimuun. Just wondering if you were first a freighter pilot before joining up."

((I know that...)) Leaning forewards, Owen shook Gendis' outstretched hand. "Nope, I've always been a fighter pilot. You Must've screwed me up with someone else. Nice to meet you Gendis" With that, he retracted his hand and sat back down.

Azure eyed the men slightly and shook her head. "Can't we all get along nicely for once?" she asked sarcastically.

Zendia chuckled, and shook her head. "Ok, let's take our seats. The old man should be here any minute with the mission specs." She then looked to Gendis. "Owen is a capable pilot and fighter. There's also a guy named Bishop. Amazing flyer ... but good luck getting him to hit the broadside of a bantha!"

Orrin continued to clean his nails, listening to the conversation going on.
"Are you ladies ready to this thing underway, or shall we waste more time talking about our skills, and throw idle boasts at each other?"

"Ready when you are," Zendia said. "Isn't that right, everyone?" she queried the rest of the squad. She then looked to Orrin with a serious expression, querying him with an equally serious tone. "Let's get down to business. What do the brass have for us today?"

Gendis mouthed the word "Sorry" to Owen and cringed at Zendia's revelation. However, he remained overtly attentive enough for the briefing.

Jakar0 Jakar took notice to the human in a gravsled. "Who's the cripple?" He asked. "That 'cripple' as you so kindly put it is your superior officer and commander," Orrin retorted. "The Brass, as our secondary so put it, has us on a nice little defensive trip to Sullust. How many TIEs are you up to stopping?"

Gendis raised his hand. "Are we allowed any new ships, Orrin? Or do we have to stick to the same-old same-old?"
