"Why hasn't the alarm been sounded?" Elrothiel swore softly in elvish. "The beacons aren't lit. Most of the defenders are still in their beds. What on middle-earth is going on?"  

[Roleplaying Guy]

Bimithor thought. "Well, maybe they are mistaken and think the enemy is a an ally?" A group of soldiers pass the ranger and the elf. Bimithor get a hold of one as they were running by. "What are you doing?"

The soldier looked terrified. "We..We....Ar...Are telling.. Lord Denethor that the enemy are is approaching sir."

Bimithor let the soldier go as he ran off. He then turned to the elf. "Should we follow?"

Quickbeam opened his eyes and yawned loudly, he was sleepingh behind some boxes near Bimithor and Elrothiel."That was a great nap . . . ."

Elrothiel shook her head. "That will waste time we can't spare. We'll just have to try to sound the alarm ourselves somehow. The defences need to be prepared right now!"

Bimithor thought, then he looked up at the elf with a new idea. "If we could light the beacon would could alert all of Gondor!" He looked towards the elf. "Maybe thats it!"  

[Gawky_Hades]

Quickbeam got up and walked over to Bimithor. "What are you yelling about?"

Staying not too far behind Elrothiel, Hrorik shouted back to the newly wakened,"We're under attack!" He then proceeded to hurry along towards the citadel in hopes of stopping their attack.  

[Gawky_Hades]

"Oh . . . . . ."
Quickbeam ran after Hrorik to follow him.

Ranu peered boredly out at the night watching the fires. His mind was mostly on Ayra, the elf. He touched his sword a momment, then span. His mind was made up. Alert the city THEN find the girl.
