"Okay, I've decided! Guys, we're gonna go down to Vermilion to take a cruise." Her Pokemon yelped in excitement. They all went south, towards Vermillion, leaving Cerulean behind. "So, we're gonna have to go through Saffron, but we'll be there soon." She said to no one. Her Pokemon were both running ahead of her, investigating the new area.

When they reached the gate to Saffron, they found it was blocked.

"No one's allowed through here." The guard said to them. "Boy, I am thirsty, though."

"Hmm," Ryka paced around the gate entrance. "How do we get to Vermillion now..?" Thunder and Aurora were trying to get Ryka's attention by yelling. They found another building. Ryka walked over to them and examined it. "Hmm, it says it's an under ground passage.. to Vermillion! Good job, guys!" Both of her Pokemon looked proud of themselves. They walked in, and a frown came over Ryka's face.

They walked down the steps into the long, dark tunnel. "It's going to take us a long time to get there now!" Occasionally, Ryka tripped over something on the floor, but they couldn't make out what they were. When light became visable, they swiftly ran. They made it up another flight of steps, and out of the passage. The bright sunlight made them squint. "Okay, Vermillion should be that way." Ryka pointed towards a small town, barley visable until she covered her eyes with her other hand. They ran through the grass, towards the seaside town, until they were spotted by someone.

"You're not getting there until you beat me!" The soft voice said. Ryka turned around until a girl in a picknic outfit appeared.

The girl brought out a pokeball, and threw it, releasing a Nidoran. "Are you ready to battle?"

"Oh, alright. Go, Aurora!" The Eevee jumped into the battle. "Tail Whip!" Aurora ran up and waggled her tail in it's face. The Nidoran was dazed for a moment, but quickly snapped out of it.

"Double kick!" The girl cried. The Nidoran reared up it's hind legs, and prepared to attack Eevee.

"Aurora, dodge it! Then use sand-attack!" She jumped out of the way for the first kick, but the second one hit her head on. She slid back onto the dirt, but she got back up and kicked sand right in Nidoran's face. It got sand in it's eyes and tried to wipe it out. "Now, tackle!" Aurora rammed it's head into the distracted Nidoran, knocking it into the air.

"Oh, no, Nidoran! Turn upside down, and tackle it!" It put it's head strait down and started spinning, trying to tackle Aurora.

"Wait, wait.."Nidoran was now right above Aurora. "Kick it!" Ryka yelled. Aurora kicked Nidoran with great force. It flew backwards and slid onto a tree, knocking it out. "Yeah, great job, Aurora!" She had a scratch on her, but she was okay. She yelped, and ran ahead with Thunder, Ryka running behind. They had made it to Vermillion City.
