Shinya nodded as her eyes tracked what Shai said. She big her lip when she heard Thea. She could tell that there was a past there and for some reason she felt hurt but kept it to herself. She layed her head down while saying "Ok, I'll have to introduce myself to them, but I think I will do it later."

He nuzzled Shinya, smiling gently. "I can introduce you, love." He whispered, kissing her cheek. He heard a low clicking sound, turning his head to see Nuishan vehemently glaring at him.
"Get your a** over here." She snarled, padding off. Was Shai that dumb? Did he not know how to treat a woman? She headed for a corner of the tribe area, hissing at her brother to follow. He did, with protest, she watched as he kissed his mate yet again and joined her.
"What the hell is your issue?!"
"Huh?"
"Don't you think I didn't notice!"

Shinya smiled and laughed softly "I would enjoy that very much."She said with a smile. She watched as he got up to see his sister and went back to watching the others.

"I thought you were over Thea!"
"What? I am!"
"I believe that, but stop acting like theres something going on! Seriously, I know you used to like Thea and all, but thats over. You have that vixen over there, right?"
"Y-yes!"
Nuishan glared at her brother. He used to be a player when they were younger, so why didn't he understand how to treat a woman? To hell was he letting him screw up his and Shinya's relationship. No. Shinya had come all the way over here to be with him, and she knew Shai cared for her. She could tell. He had never snuggled before, never called anyone something sweet. Shinya was special. He needed to treat her so.
"Well, does she know how you feel?"
"I...love her, Nuishan."
Nuishan's mind reeled, backing away from her brother. No, this wasn't her brother! He never said he loved someone, other then his family. She glanced over at Shinya with wide eyes, shaking her head. Was Shinya really that special? She hoped so, she would rip the vixens throat out if she broke Shai's heart. Still though, Shai....loved her. How...how amazingly different. She smiled, nodding at Shai before batting him uptop the head.
"I guess you haven't told her yet. Well, go do it then."

Shinya hear her tummy rumble and thought it best to go find some fruit or something to eat while Shai was with his sister. His sister appeared mad at him. She wondered if he had made her mad just before Shinya got here herself. If that was so she would have to tell him to go say sorry. She got up and shook herself off. Realizing she hadn't really ate anything on her journey here. She wanted meat but figured she was to weak to take something down and didn't know what she was allowed to kill her. Yep time to stick with fruit~she though to herself and started sniffing fruit out for herself.

The hunter frowned at his sister, heading off and ignoring her as she scuffed at him. So, he pissed Nuishan off. Well, she was being a hypocrite. She had something she wanted to say to Rendo, he remembered her telling him.
"I want kits."
Thats what she had said. Maybe he should harass her to speak to him. No, he was busy trying to find Shinya. The lean hunter found her sniffing around, tilting his head as he approached her side.
"Babe, what are you doing?"

Shinya jumped a little in surprise and turned to look behind her where she found Shai. She blushed some and said "Hi Hun, I..uh...I forgot to eat anything on my journey here so I decided to go find something now that I am here." She was embarrassed.

He laughed, nuzzling her before stepping before her. "Let me. I'm a hunter, I can find you something to fill your belly up." He smiled at her, taking this moment to scan her body. Higher beings, he was lucky. She didn't look hunter material though. Maybe a gatherer? He didn't like the idea of her being a scout, she could get hurt. No. He would protect his beautiful mate. And feed her.
"Stay here love, I'll be right back." He said before heading off into the forest.

Shinya was about to protest when Shai took off anyways. She let out a huff and glared at his disappearing shape. She wasnt incapable of getting her own food really she wasnt. But apparently he wasnt going to let her do it on her own. Dumb male~ she playfully thought and blew a razzberry in the direction he went.

 It's been some time since Ari's birthday party. Thea's children have grown some, and the seasons have changed, the days becoming shorter, and the nights longer, as it becomes fall. It's nearly half a year later from that fateful night, and the tribe have yet to see the Moon Fox again, although Hala seems to have become a permanent fixture in the tribe, assisting Ari in his duties as the sole elder.
As the life around them starts to fade for winter, so too must the tribe prepare for the coming cold season.

It was rather early in the night when Nato left the caves in search of his elder. The dark male was not one for starting drama so it was best if he handled his business with Ari before the majority of their tribe was awake and watching. Nato had put off telling Ari for as long as he could for he knew the matter would not sit well with the elder.
It wasn't long before Nato spotted Ari and padded over to him. He took a deep breath and mentally prepared himself for the coming events.
"Ari," He said to the elder before him with his usual serious tone. "I need to speak with you about a matter I'm sure you will not like to hear." Nato took another deep breath. "It's about Anjafey."

Ari's ears flicked backward's at the vixen's name, expressing his displeasure with the mere name.
Still, Nato was his oldest friend, and he would listen to whatever he had to say. Even if it was about Anjafey.
He lead them a ways off from the tribe, sensing that whatever Nato wanted to talk about, he wanted privacy for. "What is it?" Ari finally asked, once he decided they were far enough away.

Nato decided the best way to tell Ari was to break it to him bluntly.
"I'm mated to her, your enemy, and she's having my children. Just thought you should know."
Nato had given much thought to how he was going to break the news to Ari but now that he was here with him, the words had left him. There was no easy way to tell his elder that he wanted to become official mates with the vixen Ari despised most
"I do not know Anja the way you do. But you do not know her the way that I do. I know her name leaves a bad taste in your mouth.... But...She is one of the few foxes that has always been there for me. She stayed here with us, even when so many others, including Amira, left." Nato stopped to compose himself. Saying the name of his old mate still caused his heart to ache. "For awhile now, Anjafey and I have been growing closer..." Nato stopped again to look at Ari to see if the Elder could tell where he was going with this.
"Ari..." He said finally. "Anjafey and I have decided to become official mates and we ask for your approval." There. It was done. He knew.

"Wtf hells to the no!"
Ari had seen where Nato was going with that, despite his mental protests of 'no, he couldn't possibly mean it like that'.
He had seen that Nato and Anjafey spent time together, more than tribe mates usually did, and hadn't worried over it then--Nato was grown, could take care of himself against the vixen if he had to. But despite all of the evidence that said about as much, Ari still hadn't seen this coming.
"Mates," he repeated, still somewhat in shock.
He wasn't sure he could in good conscience give his blessing. Nato seemed happy enough with her, even seemed to realize the problems Ari had with her.
"You're in the same tribe, you don't need an Elder's blessing to become official mates," Ari finally said, stalling for time while he tried to make sense of everything, with his mind swimming with the new information.

Outwardly, Nato sighed in relief. Ari had taken the information rather well. Inwardly, Nato sighed in sadness. Ari was avoiding giving his blessing which meant that Ari did not yet approve of their mating. Anja had been trying so hard to clean her name, yet Ari still would not let go of the grudge he held against her. There had to be a way Nato could help change the negative relationship between them.
"I know we do not need it, Ari. But I am asking you for it because I think highly of you and would like your approval. Anja has changed, she's not the same vixen you remember. I hope you will trust my decision to become mates with her." Nato looked at his Elder with a bit of sorrow in his eyes. "If you can not give your blessing to us now, I understand. I will ask for it again one night and I hope on that night that you will find a way to leave the past behind you and try to see the goodness within all members of your tribe." He might not have gotten through to Ari, but at least he tried. Nato could only hope that one day, Ari would see his mate for who she really was and not judge her on one or two mistakes she had made in the past.
