Silver's leg was caught, and there wasn't much he could do about that. He winced as the pain ran through his leg, but that didn't stop his left hand from coming across can catching Reiko's elbow in the palm. It wasn't enough of a defense to stop the attack completely, and the back of his own hand still smacked his face, but it was better than taking the full blown elbow. Unfortunately, with his head turned slightly to the left, he was hit in his already swollen cheek, which stung a bit.

He staggered back again, stumbling on his hurt leg, but he managed to stay up. It stung, but could still move. Still, his assault did not cease. He stepped forward again, raising his right arm and bringing his right foot down hard (which sent pain through his leg again), and turning in with his right shoulder, he shot his right fist forward, twisting it from vertically to horizontally allaigned in a right straight. Silvery white flame erupted around his fist as it sailed through the air.

"DYNAMITE... STRAIGHT!"

It's over..

Reiko waited calmly. Then, using the last half second between impact with himself and Silver.. he half-stepped forward and turned his body over completely, balancing on his right leg as he brought up his left knee almost in a clockwise motion at Silver's face for a final TKO.

Reiko's move was pretty clever, and probably would have worked if not for a couple of small problems. First, the move was an advanced kick-boxing technique.



The grapple that Reiko had performed earlier was from the same style. It had clued Silver in on Reiko's proficiency in the style, and made it not hard to guess what Reiko would do once he started moving.

The other problem was that Silver was still turned sideways when he got to Reiko, leading with his right, with both arms already up and infront of his chest. Even if Reiko avoided the Elbow by turning his body over, Silver did not have to move the other arm far to intercept the knee.

I won't let you have this one so easily!

Reiko's knee would strike Silver's left elbow, as he brought that arm up and stepped back on his right foot, probably damaging both, but it wouldn't stop there. Silver's arm would straighten out and his hand would wrap around backwards as learned more to the right to grapple and hold down to (Silver's) left Reiko's vertical left leg. At the same time, Silver's right hand would come shooting back torwards Reiko to be placed open palmed on his chest. It would become scalding hot just for an instant before exploding into white flame, letting loose a firey blast between them, Silver releasing Reiko's leg at the same time to let Reiko go flying off his one planted foot.

Silver's arms dropped to his sides as he stood up straight, his right hand smoking as well from the heat of the blast.

The black haze slowly wafted away in the wind as he took several slow steps forward to approach Reiko, bending his left arm at the elbow several times at the same time to assess the damage and make sure he could still move it. It was sore, but it wasn't bad.

When he was no more than a few feet away, he ran his right hand through his damp hair, and coughed again, spitting another bit of blood onto the ground.

Reiko still didn't move. Was he really KO-ed? Or was he faking?
Well anyway it didn't matter. If it was boxing Reiko would've already been counted out for all this time he's spending on the ground.

But since it wasn't boxing..

Maybe..

"Hahhh~"

He was only resting for a bit... before he was ready to stand again.

"Well you hit like a girl. But you've earned your freedom. I don't ever remember being put on the floor twice."

Reiko pulls off the remains of his shirt and then stretched. All with his back to Silver. His feet were together and such as he did so.

"But I doubt you'll make it too far anywhere. If I find you on the ground anywhere, you'll wake up in my company.."

The streets were strangely silent that night. The only sounds that could be heard were the whispering footsteps of a lone traveler, making his way through the labyrinth of streets with barely a slip of sound. He was attired in a light-weight obsidian coloured chainmail, that was topped off with a crimson robe-like surcoat, which arms reached down to the man's elbows. The surcoat was tied at the waist with a sash of the same material and hue.

He wore trousers of a similar make as that of his surcoat, with greaves of a strange design covering his shins, and a pair of comfortable, light-weight boots for his feet. The man's crimson-hued cloak billowed wildly as a gale of wind blew past, which caused the hood of the cloak to draw back, exposing his face to the crisp night air.

This was Meridion's first visit to the town of Latent, and he didn't have the foggiest idea of where he was going. But such thoughts were of no moment to him, so rather than brood about the fact he was lost, he simply let his feet guide him. He made his way steadily north, taking in his surroundings as he went, noting the minute details of the structures around him. Meridion believed that he was somewhere inside of the Inner City, but he was clueless to that of his current location.

And then he came upon the statue, feeling suddenly awed at the beauty it held within it. Meridion was a poet at heart, and was always filled with emotion when he came across great works of art. Without a word, he strode up to the fountain and sat down at the edge of the pool, gazing intently into the crystalline water within. Resting a gauntleted fist on his knee, Meridion contentedly lost himself in his own thoughts, wondering what fortune the next day would bring.
