Mwali stood silently after his roar came to an end, his ears perking upwards to listen for a response. In no time it came, welcoming him to the rock... the good Queen. That was a releaf at least... though he wasn't sure how long his welcome would hold out.
The red giant made his way down from the boulder and began towards the rock but once again a sound distracted him- and not really all that far away. A mew- like that of a cub. His brow wrinkled a bit as he followed the sound, taking a slight detour from his destination. He could hear it struggling, mewing and clawing towards the base of a tree. Slowly, Mwali lowered his head towards the sound, straining his eyes a bit into the darkness. He could make out two small eyes looking fearfully back at him.
He smiled sheepishly, turning his head to the side, "...are you hiding from me?"

The large male looked to his daughter and son, turning back to Danzi momentarily. "You aren't joining us Danzi?" A sound rumbled in his throat. "Awww." He straightened slightly. "Maybe some other time eh?" He grinned peered to wherever Kiburi was, calling out to her "Kib, princess, still hunting?" His head swiveled, "Mchele, how 'bout you?"
A slender female slid back gently into the pridelands, her large body was graced with a white stomach, along with ivory paws and a muzzle. The two sapphire jewels that were her eyes twinkled happily. Hopefully Amari would join her soon, and at last they would be together in the pride. She sighed happily. A slightly larger stomach than usual was the only sign that she was in early pregnancy. Her tail flickered calmly as she reclined to gaze at the blue sky.

Hunting without his new older brother didn't sound as fun and Mchele thought to try insisting and nipping at him until he did. But the older lion was off talking with the queen. Probably get in trouble if he bugged him now.
Turning back to his dad he nodded. "Yeah! Let's go hunt! umm... what's hunt?" At which point the noise of the distant roaring and the answering one of the queen flowed across the pridelands. It made Mchele duck and quickly dive under his father's protective legs and body.

The adolescent jumped a bit, crouching down with big eyes at the deep, loud roar of the Firekin. Now THAT was a roar that had power to it! Ears flicked as he watched Sarabi respond to it, figuring out that it was a friendly lion, at least. He rose up, padding over to the rest of his family as he knew them before sitting down. "I've never heard a roar that loud..." He paused. "Then again, most lions were usually a few feet away and calling a greeting..." He looked down at his little adopted brother. So much enthusiasm for hunting... A slight smile moved onto the orange lion's face. "Okay... Maybe I'll try hunting... Besides, it can help kill time while I wait for the king to return."

Kiuma nearly expired when the strange lion heard her and came towards her hiding place. With all the roots, it was hard to make out what he looked like, but she could tell that he was BIG. At least, compared to her cub-size. She shrank back against the tangle of roots that held her trapped, her round little ears pressed tight to her head. She was stuck... trapped and helpless... in a moment, he would reach in with his razor sharp claws and drag her out...
"Hiding?! I am not! Only scaredy-cubs hide from stuff..." The princess puffed up indignantly, now struggling to move outwards so she could show this lion that she wasn't scared of anything. Hiding was only for when one was playing hide-and-pounce, and that game was for babies.
She fought herself free of the grasping roots and tumbled out almost on his paws, hastily righting herself to glare up at him. And couldn't do anything but stare. His red coat fairly glowed under the hot savanah sun, and he was just as large as she'd thought, but far more impressive up close.
"Hey... How come you've got a red coat?" The cub demanded, frowning up at him. "No body here has red fur except me and Uumi..."

Bakhti's head rose as she heard the roar. Mwali was his name? She couldn't remember though she knew Sukutu had spoken of them at some point. She looked at danzi and knocked him over playfully, "Look mister, your as close to being an adult as they are to being a little older now go and hunt with them." She smiled and winked at him, "If you find a pretty girl while you are out though, I would love to erm.. see her please, son" She laughed and nuzzled Danzi before nuzzling Mahiri and then turning to her children. "Behave ok? All of you, behave!" She purred as she licked at all of them and then looked to thhe new lion, she had yet to meet him or his mate, or youngsters as well as Sukutu's mate. "Mahiri, don't be away for too long!" She smiled and sat down purring at them all.

The little lionness bounced playfully on her paws and with a small jump of excitement that her noisy brother was coming too she turned and began to head through the grass.
She moved with the clumsiness of a youngster, bouncing here and there, paws making small thuds against the ground. Her tail swished high above her like a golden flag and her ears were drawn forward.
She breathed deep, lungs swelling with the warm, dusty air and her white fur - which was now almost golden with dust - mingled well with the grass around her.

Jasiri smiled warmey at the queen, noding her head. "Its certainly good to be back. I had forgotten how lovely this place was." She said, her eyes moving across the green grass, taking in its peacful serene feeling. Yes, this is where she would raise her cubs. "Thats alright, im really in no hurry, I just was hoping to take a couple minutes of his time to speak to him." Jasiri sat down on her hanches, yawning. She did wish Mufasa would appear soon. She didnt want to rush him, but she was dieing to get back to Sukutu and the babies cubs. A happy shiver went down her spine. She was an aunt! She grined to herself happily. Jasiri looked up when she heard her name spoken, agnoledgeing the other lioness with a slight nod. Then she heard a roar in the distance, one that was all to familur to her. "Mwali?" She wisperd softly. What was he doing hear. She trotted up to him, welcoming him with a nuzzle. "Brother, what are you doing hear." Then gently she wisperd, "How are my necices and nephews?" She said, placing her paw gently on his shoulder. She hadnt noticed the small cub until she spoke. She looked down curiosly at the little one. Was this one of the Queens? She chucked at its response to Mwali. "Dont worry, Mwali is just a big teddy bear. He wouldnt hurt a fly. Trust me, ive seen him hunt." She said jokingly.

Mwali smiled softly down to the tiny cub as she pulled herself free from the roots of the tree, crouching down low to look her over a bit more closely. Why her pelt was almost as red as his! How strange, he didn't think there were any firekin in the area... of course he could have been wrong. Koho had some red on her but not enough to cover her pelt- or even much of a limb... still the sight of a red cub here of all places - and considering his fear for his own cubs - was quite confusing but a bit comforting. Perhaps they'd not be so out of place. "The world's a big place." He said simply in response to the cub's question, "I come from another pride, most of us have red fur. I think it's a fitting color for you." Hopefully that wouldn't be taken the wrong way, certainly to an older lion they might have taken offence by even resembling a firekin but Mwali did think the color was fetching. "In... fact you remind me a bit of my neice back home..."
He turned towards Jasiri as she approached, shaking off the sinking feeling that had stirred at the mention of his family. He was releaved to see that she was doing well, why he might have thought otherwise was beyond him. Of course she'd be accepted- if they were willing to take in a fomer firekin heir that probbily couldn't hunt his own shadow then certainly they'd take in Jasiri. She was cunning and perfectally able to contribute something to the pride. "I.. have to speak with the king about the cubs." He looked down a bit, his body kind of tensing up a bit, it looked a bit silly for something so large to be doing but he hardly seemed to take that into consideration. "I'm not sure they'll be accepted here, I never got permission to be Koho's mate- much less produce any cubs with her..."

Kiuma stood up, still regarding the large lion with a frown on her face. Her ears twitched when a lioness arrived suddenly, though her pelt was a deep brown. The males words made her pause and think. Another pride of lions with the same red fur as she and her brother had? A strange fluttering sensation started in the pit of her stomach, but she ignored it for now.
At the mention of the King her ears perked up. "King? My daddy's the king of the Pridelands! You're looking for him? He went out hunting today, since we're run out of food at Priderock. Mother is up there, though, if you want to talk to her. She's the Queen!." The little cub puffed out her chest at the impressivness of her lineage, sitting primly infront of them. Her little tail flicked from side to side as she struggled to keep her face serious.
"My name is Kiuma." She added, as an afterthought.

Jasiri scowled, speaking a low, slightly harsh tone. "Mwali, you have already shown to the pride you are no threat, I dont know why they would alienate you again. And Koho is her own lioness, no one can tell her who she can and cannot love. The king is a loveing brother, and im sure he will accept his sisters decision, he knows Koho is now fool. And even if you and the cubs are shunned away from the pride, which I highly doubt, you would not be alone. I would not dare live in such a place that outcasts others just because of the color of there pelt." She spoke lovelying for her brother. She loved him and his family more than anything in the world, and would hate to see them hurt in such a way. "I am sure it will go down fine." She said reassuringly, her voice changing to a calmer tone. Her head quickly snaped back to the cub. She had almost forgotten about her presence. "Kiuma, what a lovely name. I am Jasiri, and this is Mwali. My my, arn't you lucky, being the daughter of a King and Queen, what a privledge! That makes you a princess, doesnt it?"

((I'm supposed to send updated profiles to you right dragonz? or can I just post it here?
Koho--Half-sister to Mufasa and Taka, Koho is one of the huntresses to the pride, and also the 'nanny.' She took in Kiyowe and Sukutu when they were found. Though Kiyowe was lost to the plague, Suku is still her adopted son. Koho was inexperienced when she first took on her role in the pride, though she had grown to love it and manages quite well. The sister of the king has surprisingly chosen Mwali, the ex-prince of the Firekin, as her new mate. Koho has recently had cubs by Mwali, a healthy litter of six, however she is unsure if they will be accepted into the pride without Mufasa's permission. Koho is a fairly successful hunteress when given the chance, though most of her energy is spent taking care of the queen's and her litters, as well as the few odd cubs that are around the Pridelands.

"Hunting we shall go!" He ran happily through the grasses, nudging Kiburi gently before continuing. Sometimes he was just like a big kid. Though he was quite intelligent, especially when it involved nature. "C'mon Kib, Mchele, Danzi." He sped off happily, although he looked over his shoulder to make sure they were following. He knew where he would take them to hunt. Just to the edge of the Pridelands, were the small gazelle were plently. He hoped this wouldn't be too much of a challenge for the young ones.

The adolescent blushed at Bakhti's words. "Aw, Mom... I'll find one in good time... Can I at least let my mane grow in?" A grin made its way onto his maw. "I'll find someone, don't worry..." He looked over at Mahiri before turning and following, calling over his shoulder "See ya later, then!" With that, he hurried after, paws moving swiftly to at least catch up, though not so fast to leave Kiburi and Mchele behind.
