There was a silence as Zola ate. When he finished, he sat up and left, then returned with a sack. "I'm going to go check my rodent traps, alright?"

Saku shoke her head, she still had baby dino eggs hiding in her earrings so that would be bad for the cat if one were to change

saku blinked at him it was nice to know that hewas being like a bro and not a *****, even if it was just jenova making her think that, she ws just glad not to be alone, it was one of her only 3 fears, daisuke, labs and being alone. "T thanks brother." she said streaching slightly after finishing her bowl ot soupe

After an hour or two, Zola returned with no rodents. Surprisingly, the animals learned not to get into them. It was better that way, as far as he was concerned. He went to check on Saku.

zola would find saku curled up in a ball on the end of the sofa sleeping

"...Saku..." Zola whispered into the fading light of the torch-lit room. He lie down behind the couch after grabbing a blanket. For once...He felt... Happy...

Zola couldn't sleep. Why, he didn't know. So he just sat next to the sleeping Saku, focused on a small, pocket radio in his headphones.

Saku soon sat up looking to zola. "thanks brother." she said leaning against him, now she could say she wasn't alone at all she had zola and jenova, though there were some doubts about her in her mind already

 saku said nothing she was to tired to be able to worry about her instints kicking in, though she was lucky she wasn't fully giving in like fate or this would be embarrassing to her.
