Matsuya stayed silent for a moment when LT posed the question of whether he would be able to kill Zin. He started into the swirling brown coffee within his cup. Would he truly be able to kill Zin if it was truly what needed to be done? "LT, you know me. I've never been the type to kill anyone who didn't truly deserve to be killed. But if we prove that Zin actually needs to be killed," Matsuya looked at his old friend, his eyes set with determination, and said, "then I want to be the one to do it. I gave him his knowledge of the evil within him. I brought that evil into the world. I think it's only responsible of me to take it out." Matsuya lowered his gaze back to his coffee. LT was right, they still needed Luo's input on this situation. But he had posed some interesting questions. Who would they make the new Hokage and what would they do with Zin's supporters? In Matsuya's mind, the new Hokage should be the choice of Konohagakure itself. But, if it was necessary, Kirigakure could place someone within the office to control the village for a while. And Matsuya was sure that Zin would assure that his followers would die for him. Though, some might have the mental capacity to see their errors and join the righteous cause.

The Jonin scratched his chin for a second then he hunched forward further to rest his elbows on his knees with his almost empty coffee cup held in both hands. "Brother, I understand that you feel responsible for what happened to Zin and you feel that it is your duty and obligation to kill Zin, but. . ." He took the last sip of his coffee before sighing and rising from his chair to retrieve some more. After he poured himself a full cup he walked over to where Matsuya sat and poured the rest of the pot into the his cup before he returned the pot to its rightful home and himself to his rightful chair. "But Zin is the current Hokage, now we have to realize that as Kage, Zin has access to all of the files, data, and knowledge that the Leaf village has to offer. So he probably already has read your file. He probably knows everything about you, every family member, every friend, and every weakness you own. He probably knows you inside and out. I dont know if you would probably be the best match for him now." LT paused to let his words have meaning and council for his friend to heed. "Perhaps we should find another to fight him. But who else is strong enough besides you, Luo, and me? And if Luo and I fight him it might be seen as a Kiri invasion." LT added a few scoops of sugar and poured some creme in his coffee and stirred with a spoon. "Perhaps we should wait for Luo to figure out a straight plan." LT leaned over to the counter top next to him and flipped open a folder his was formerly working on and he started filling out his report. Maybe later today he would get his long needed shower and some good food. Tares then formed some handsigns and formed a perfect water clone, who in turn took LT's seat, the original looked at the clock on the wall then said. "I gotta run to some business, but ill be back soon." And with that the real LT left with the clone sipping at the left over coffee waiting to hear what else Matsuya could dictate.

Matsuya added a bit of sugar to the new cup of coffee. He looked into the dark brew as he stirred the sugar. Maybe LT was right. Zin knew everything about him. The boy knew all of his techniques. Matsuya himself had made that a problem back when he'd fought the Kyuubi. Back then, he was willing to win the respect of his students by showing off his best techniques. That now seemed like a terrible idea. "Maybe, we could get someone to kill him for us. But think about it, I'm not known in the shinobi world anymore. At least not yet. I could do it without any act of war being associated. I'm an outside party, not even Zin knows where I live yet." Matsuya took a sip of his coffee and sighed a bit. He was rambling off ideas as to why he should be the one to kill the boy. "At the very least, I'd like to be there when it happens. I just want him to know that, even at the end, I was looking out for him. I want him to understand that I only want what is best for the world. Maybe then, I can feel better about the whole affair." Matsuya sighed again and took a long drink of the coffee. It wasn't easy, planning to kill someone who he was supposed to be looking out for. It was like killing family. He couldn't help but think that, if it came to it, Tares, Luo, and he would be in the same situation with Zane. That was actually a good point. "LT, tell me something. What would you do if it was Zane? What if it was him, our brother, that we had to kill? Do you think we would have it anyone else kill him? I wouldn't. I would want all three of us, you, Luo, and I, to do it together. I would want us to all share in the burden of killing him. I know, I know, that's a bad example, but what if?"

Tares leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees again, Matsuya had a point about it, if it were Zane creating this era, then he knew Luo, Mat, and himself would be the first in line to bring him down. It was their responsibility. "Yeah, I guess your right about you being there, its just. I dont want lose you to that kid. You and I both have lost enough friends already and I dont think I can handle losing another one. Especially you or Luo. You and I both know what it's like to lose the love of our live's. Asami was a friend of mine too you know." LT flicked the side of his coffee cup causing a *tink* sound as he took some time in his own thoughts for a few seconds. "I just thought it would be tactically safer for you to not fight him, at least by yourself. But deep down, I now realize that it truly must be your task to carry out, with help of course. I dont care that Zin is your student or brother or whatever. Just promise me that we will bring him down together. . . Now, what can you tell us about Zin, what are his strengths and weaknesses?"

Matsuya sighed and looked at his hands. LT was right. Tactically, killing Zin was the worst decision he'd ever had to make. But, perhaps, something would come up. Matsuya didn't want any more blood on his hands. There was enough there already. And then LT dropped Asami's name. Matsuya raised a hand to his hair and felt the single bead that was always there, Asami's bead. "Well, I agree with you on a tactical level. But maybe if someone else weakens him enough, I can be the one to be deliver the final blow. I don't want you or Luo in danger, though. Someone outside of the village, too. Someone that won't bring war to Kirigakure, assuming we aren't already in one when the time comes." Matsuya drank the remainder of his coffee, keeping the cup in his hand. He thought for a second, gathering everything he knew about Zin and his tactics. "The boy uses snakes, that much is obvious. His office, or rather the pit he calls an office, is filled with the things. So, given that information, I think we can safely assume he is learned in the art of Snake Summoning. He also is extremely intelligent. He managed to put me in a tight situation when I went there."

Matsuya looked up at LT and smiled a bit. Even though he'd been bested in tactics, Matsuya respected the boy's intelligence. "He managed to immerse me in total darkness. Cutting me off from light stopped me from using shadows to perform any of my Kageton techniques. Genius, really. Zin also uses the Leaf Village taijutsu. I know this because I trained him in it. Even though I gave the style up out of respect when I returned to the countries." Matsuya thought for a second. "Which, I suppose, leaves me able to learn a new style. Maybe that can be my trump card against him if it ends up being me."

Tares leaned forward in full attention as Matsuya described the details of his encounter with the Corrupted Hokage, a character who seemed increasingly more powerful than when he met him during the zombie invasion. Matsuya was right, the boy was a genius. But the village hidden in the mist had a genius of it's own leading its shinobi. As Matsuya got into the details LT flipped open a new folder and began jotting down notes for the Mizukage to read later on. They still both didnt even know if the Mizukage would agree to any of this. "You said his office is a pit? You mean it's underground?" the Jonin asked surprisingly, this kid sounded more and more like his father, which wasnt a good thing. "Next time you should bring a candle or flashlight," LT joked lightly, "Perhaps it would work better if you and Luo took on the Hokage boy while I'll take on his next highest ranking ninja. What can you tell me about his shinobi forces or his jutsu? Does he have a lover we could use or kidnap?"

Matsuya thought for a moment about the questions LT posed about the office and a possible lover. "Seeing as the boy is barely beginning puberty, I highly doubt he has a literal lover. Though, when I was there he did have a girl next to him who he seemed quite fond of. He called her Nai-chan. So I'm assuming they are, in one way or another, very close. I'm not sure if it's because he's done something to her head or not. It could be some twisted hostage-savior situation. I can't be sure. But she didn't talk, even when I was a word away from death. So I'm assuming she at least respects his judgement." Matsuya frowned. He would need to find out some information about the girl before he made any judgement. He wasn't fond of using women and children as bargaining chips, but there was a time for everything. "But yes, his office is a hole in the ground where Hokage Tower once stood. The first few levels are offices and tunnels, but they all accumulate into a pit in the center. I'm assuming that's where something big goes on. His ANBU, like I mentioned, are very unresponsive. They don't seem normal, but I can't explain it." Matsuya thought back on the ANBU agents that he'd seen in Zin's office. They seemed cold. Not to mention too eager to serve him and the things he'd been doing. He sighed and continued running through his mind for ideas that might come in handy.

Tares rested his chin on his hand with his elbow propped up on on the counter top as he jotted down the intell that Matsuya dictated to him about his mission to Konoha. "If he is in a pit, we just need a Doton user to crush the entire place if its underground. Just flatten the place with him inside it. Do you know if all of Konoha is in his command and control, of if we do attack, will some of his own forces rise up alongside ours?"
Tares pulled his kakashi like mask down around his neck. "Do you think by taking this girl out of the equation would help us or impede our progress in the mission." As he asked this, LT would fishing around in his pockets of his flak jacket trying to find his items that were always missing, finally after a few seconds he pulled out his cigarettes and lighter. Offering one to Matsuya before he pulled one out and stuck it in his mouth. Hopefully Luo wouldnt catch him smoking in his office, maybe he didnt mind. LT flipped open the lighter and lit up before tossing his lighter to Matsuya.

Matsuya raised a hand to the cigarette LT offered him. "No thanks." He did, however, catch the lighter and play with the flip-top. The small noise it made entertained him for some reason unbeknownst even to Matsuya. He thought for a second before answering LT's newest questions. "Yes, a Doton user would be ideal. Maybe, we could flood it and perform a giant Depth Charge from the combined chakra of Luo and I. Just another idea. We might need another person to completely demolish the place, though." Matsuya flicked the top of the lighter back and forth a few more times before throwing it back to LT.

Now onto the girl who there was so little information about. Matsuya made a mental note to try and gather some information about her when it was possible. "I think it would only infuriate him. And I'm not sure if that's what we want. Anger blinds people, but it also makes them determined. Look at me with Asami. I swung off and left without so much as a word and killed the man who took her from me. It may have taken me a few years, but I did it. I feel like Zin would be the same. The way he looks at her tells me that. Maybe if it were down to the last part of our plan, it would work. If we had him cornered and held her, it might have only the blinding effect on him since his goal is right there." Matsuya's mind was wandering to a chess board. A king cornered by a few pieces, his queen held by the enemy team. There was no exit. But then again, in chess there were no jutsu to pull out of one's sleeve. Maybe that was the key to all of this. Using something Zin wouldn't expect. "LT, from what I remember there is a sword style that is a hybrid of Leaf and Mist techniques. I know I only have Shadow Kira, but would there be a way to learn the style so that I have some sort of edge if it ever comes to Zin and I in single combat? Or even me against some other opponent."

LT pocketed the cigarettes and stared blankly at the lighter as Matsuya opened it and closed it with the lighter's signature clink. "Flooding it could work to, we just need to make sure we have all the exits covered so he cant escape from one. Hearing the tales about his father, it makes sense he would pull some sly crap like that." LT caught the lighter when Mat threw it back and he stuffed it in the same flakjacket pocket as the cig's. He leaned back in this chair and scribbled a few more notes down on the topic of Zin's girl while he listened to Matsuya's every word. It made LT think of back when he and every one else were young, and the smartest two kids in the village were the Nara and the Ushio boys. Every one wanted them to get together to have a show down and see who was the more brilliant tactican of the two, but both Matsuya and Luo declined to face each other in such an event to appease petty mortal games. The thought made LT scoff aloud as the fact remained the same, both of his friends were both still the smartest men in this village. "So the girl would be a No-Go. hmm dammit, do you know of anything else we could use against him?" Then Mat spoke of the joint village sword style. "Shadow Kira is a formidable weapon, dont under-estimate her abilities." LT smiled as his finished the last of his cigarette, before he pull his kakashi like mask back up to cover the bottom half of his scruffy face. "But this sword style? Are you reffering to the Infinite One? Off the top of my head its the only joint style that I know of, but it would certainly give you an edge against any opponent."

Matsuya silently nodded when LT raised the point that Zin might be able to escape if they weren't able to cover all the exits. It was just like Zin and his father to have some sort of backup plan for events like that. "I don't put it past him to have some sort of escape tunnel for things like that. Though, with enough water even a tunnel would be rendered useless. Also, I wouldn't rule the girl out just yet. The way I see it, we could use her as leverage to draw him into a place that we could easily trap and kill him. We'd need her subdued. Someone could use a water prison, or I could use Shadow Imitation. Though, if I'm to be the one to kill the boy I'd have to sacrifice our hold on her. Maybe a death like poison. Any number of things could work, in theory." Matsuya reached into the backpack next to him and pulled out his notebook. It was his literal and figurative "black book". He began paging through it, trying to find any details about Zin he might have recorded from his time as Hokage. There wasn't much, save a few minor details here and there. "All I can tell you is he likes gummy candies, he uses snakes, and he was one of the brightest children I've ever seen; other than Luo and myself that is."

Matsuya smirked a bit and continued looking through the notebook. He was in his element again. Planning attacks on enemies and gathering the intelligence needed. It was something he wasn't proud of enjoying, but it was just, for lack of a better word, fun. And, for better or worse, he was happy. Planning the death of their little brother wasn't something most people would be happy about. But to Matsuya, Zin had to die. If things continued the way there were going, he would become a true successor to his father's legacy. And the way Matsuya saw it, this was just one big game. If Zin won, the world would change forever. But if Matsuya and his friends won, the world would breath a sigh of relief and they would find another enemy. "Yeah, that's the one. I remember reading the report back when I was Hokage. I never did get around to requesting the scrolls to learn it from Luo. I probably was out doing something that enabled me to not do paperwork. But, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to try and learn it. It's been a while since I trained in anything, much less anything that gave Kage Kira a good workout. She was made to compliment my Nara abilities and give me something versatile to fight with. Sadly, she's been out of use recently. The last time I used her was to kill that warlord who killed Asami." Matsuya leaned back, looking at the bead in his hair and smiled wide. "It may have been overkill, but I used the cleaver on him. b*****d deserved it though." He closed his eyes and his smile grew. Asami would have had something to say about that. He just knew it.

As Luo walked down the largest road in Kiri which led to the looming tower ahead, he stopped mid-step as his eyes cut to the right. "Can I help you?" the young kage muttered as he stared at what looked to be a brick wall. Then however, part of the wall began to pull apart in one whole piece, revealing a shinobi in his late teens who Luo recognized as a chuunin at the ramen bar. He bowed first and then with a wide smile scratched the back of his head mentioning to Luo he didn't expect him to notice the change. Nodding with just the hint of a smirk he muttered, "Well, your shadow hit me from above twenty feet back when the row of shops broke apart to leave way for an alleyway. I'll admit you're definitely fast for your rank, but that sheet you took from Nikko's to perform the cloak of invisibility technique wreaks of the restaurant's famous Kiri roll. It was a good try though."

Thanking Luo with multiple quick bows, he presented the man with the food he accidentally left at the bar that was meant for Matsuya. "Ah, I was in such a hurry to leave I almost forgot this. Thank you." Grabbing the bagged food, he grabbed the apple inside and held it in his right hand. Waving at Luo after one last bow, he ran off quickly to get back to his post in the woods. Walking farther down the road at last Luo reached his office, opening one of the double doors with his left hand. Nodding at the secretary, he went upstairs and turned the knob on his door. As it opened, he was greeted with the smell and sight of smoke, his eyes instantly darting towards Tares in the corner whose cigarette's cherry was bright through the slight haze. Tossing the apple to Matsuya, he walked past the table they sat at and put the food in front of Matsuya as well. Walking to the large floor to ceiling windows behind his desk, Luo pushed the two behind his desk open, locking them in place so that they were only ajar enough to allow the smoke out.

Turning to sit he looked at TarLes and said, "Tares, as many people that walk into this room we can only hope none of them are allergic to smoke until this clears out. Let's be courteous to our fellow villagers." Spoken in his usual flat tone, it was his nice way of saying he didn't want anyone smoking in his office. Had it not been Tares, a different tone would have been used, however he always wanted his friend and ally to feel comfortable in his office. However, it certainly wasn't a cigar lounge.

"Aya" - "Memi" - "Ame" - "Mizu" - "Saki"

I'm only telling you this because life...

Ayame glanced around the village as she walked, arms swaying back and forth lightly. There was a slight hop in her step as she moved, as well as a bright smile on her face. The girl hadn't really been around the village too much just yet. She didn't have the time to explore the village's different places and districts. At least, not yet. She was making her way to the Mizukage's office to introduce herself and to check if he had her information. She had been permitted to live in the village and become a ninja like so many before her. They had told her to head over to see the Mizukage, or else people might not know she was a mist-nin. She had the headband, of course, but she wasn't sure if they had her records or not. Plus, you couldn't always trust a headband. She carried a scroll that had her basic information on it, given to her by a nin earlier that day, to give to the Mizukage to stash away. She hadn't thought that they would trust her with the information, but they did. It was hers, after all.

Her crystal blue gaze turned to the side as she glimpsed the rising tower. Inside was the office. Her smile brightened a bit, checking to make sure she still had the scroll, before she hopped over to the stairs. Swiftly, she made her way up, glancing this way and that in a curious manner. Ayame had always been one to observe her surroundings and that was because she had a natural curious nature about her. Reaching the top, she paused, unsure of whether she actually wanted to bother the Mizukage. Seeing as it was necessary, though, she raised her fist and placed three swift knocks onto the door, stepping back to await a reply.

Matsuya caught the apple Luo threw to him with his left hand and placed it on his lap. He opened an eye and smiled as Luo scolded Tares for smoking. This reaction was one of the main reasons Matsuya hadn't taken a cigarette when Tares had offered. "Thanks, Luo. I appreciate it." He leaned forward and looked at the bento Luo had placed in front of him. He opened it and smiled a bit wider. Nikko never failed to impress with his sushi. Matsuya took in a deep breath through his nostrils and broke the chopsticks that had come in the box. He placed one of the sushi rolls in his mouth and sighed with satisfaction.

After he'd chewed and swallowed, Matsuya looked back up at Luo. "Tares and I were just discussing what I learned on my journey to Konohagakure. I'm sure you'll be wanting a full report, but here's the short version for now. Zin Naga is indeed the Hokage and he is, I believe, holding the village under his power with fear. There's something you should know, the boy was once something like a little brother to me. I cared for him and may have made him what he is today by mistake. Tares and I have come to the conclusion that we may, at some point, have to kill him. We were waiting for your input while we discussed possible tactics of going about this." Matsuya looked back down at his bento, as if nervous about what he'd just said. And he was indeed nervous about the whole situation. "Also, I think it's important for you to know, that if we do indeed end his life, I want to be the one to do so. I feel it's my moral obligation to be the one to end the life of my little brother." Matsuya said this last statement in something of an undertone. He was still saddened by the fact that Zin had strayed from the path of innocence. He needed to ensure, however, that sadness would not interfere with his work.

Matsuya began eating from his bento again. He waited for a response from Luo. He rather wanted to see if both of his friends agreed with him on the topic. And if not, what alternative Luo would provide. As Matsuya ate, he was drawn back into his thoughts. He stared blankly at food before him, no longer even aware of its presence.

Taking his seat on the plush seating pillow behind his low bamboo desk, his mood soured slightly. "No one is to even entertain the idea of assassinating the Hokage until it is determined without a shadow of a doubt, that he is or will become a direct threat to Kirigakure. I understand nipping problems in the bud, however we cannot be sure that this problem won't fix itself in Konoha before it is even necessary for us to step in. Furthermore, attacking the Hokage under the army of Kirigakure would look like an unwarranted show of force on my part, prompting other villages to get involved with the potential to unfurl yet another inter-village war. Until I have enough data or evidence to deem it necessary to plot a course of action regarding Konohagakure or it's Hokage, Kiri will do nothing."

The young kage's stance on the matter for the moment was final. There was no reason for Kiri to intervene unless they were somehow forced into defensive or offensive maneuvers. He understood just what that stance meant and how it sounded even, as if he didn't really care for the matter at hand. However, that wasn't the case in the least. In fact, if he didn't care about the matter at all he'd have killed the boy himself. However, doing so would send Konoha into an eruption of pure chaos. Those who follow Zin and those who wish to rebel will inevitably clash in the wake of his death, and the civil war would not cease until one side was completely overrun. For them to attack prematurely, was to ensure a possible civil war within Konoha, as well as put every other village on high alert with Kiri. The whole situation needed to be handled rather delicately, and Luo was going to make sure when push came to shove, his foresight would prompt an opportune scenario for the future.

As the room at last seemed to be clear of smoke, a knock came at the door. "Enter," he muttered as he watched the door.
