Bakhti smiled at the story and purred as Mahiri came, "Hello sweetie!" She pured happily before turning to Maawio with a smile on her face. Maawio hadn't met the cubs yet, nor had Amari, but they would, soon enough anyway! She was just happy to be with her friends and family. She thought about it and well Suku was now family, Amari being her adopted brother and then Mawwio being Amari's mate and then Suku being Maawio's adopted brother, it was going round in circles but yeah, she had one huge family!

Green eyes blinking, Danzi glanced at the two new lions. So this was Mahiri.. "So we meet propperly!" His ears lifted, then he blinked again, trying to toss his silky bangs out of his eyes. Eyes which fell on Maawio. Was it a bad thing that he felt a light twitter inside when he saw her? Oh, wait, that was just remembering her. The first Pridelander he remembered meeting. Now if he could remember her NAME... But matter this did not, since there were much better things to do with one's mouth, and that was lick his paw to get those blasted bangs out of his face! Glancing down at Mchele, he frowned a bit. "Never grow a mane like mine, Mchele... It just gets in the way." He tried brushing it back, finally keeping it out of his eyes. "Success! Mane, I hath conqured thee!" A grin lit his face up. Boy did he ever look like an overgrown cub!

Mahiri nuzzled Bakhti again, looking to the golden female on his right. "Maawio..?!" He blinked his scarlet eyes. They hadnt met since they were juveniles and she was much older than a juvenile now, as was he. Mahiri licked Kiburis head fondly. "Hello princess...Fluffy lion eh?" He eyed Sukutu with a greeting smile. "I've been out and about lately sweetheart, I'm sorry." He nuzzled her small face gently. "We can go hunting If you really wish, but you must be very very careful!" He nudged Mchele with his nose. "Hello son!" He spoke warmly. "Will you be joining us for a hunt?"
He looked to Bakhti with a pleading grin, as a young cub would ask his mother to let him explore. He then looked to Danzi. "Hey, Its Danzi right?" He asked, grinning breifly. "Nice to finally meet you at last."
"SUKUTU!" She ran foward happily, trying not to stumble and nuzzling him happily. "It's been so long, and I've missed you so so much!" Maawio smiled to Mahiri. "Yes, It has been rather a while." She paused thoughtfully. "Are these your cubs?!" She turned happily to Bakhti too. "They are so beautiful!" She lowered her head sweetly to smile at Kiburi, who was nearest. "Hello little one."

The delicate silver lioness paused in her limping gait as the king shook the carcass from his back. Visibly, Dama pondered the options a moment, weighing each with a considerable amount of thought. Her voice was soft, tinged slightly with fear and unsurity as she glanced up towards the rocks that formed Pride Rock. "I've had more than my fill of it. If it shall help feed your pride, I would be honored to allow your lioness' to bring it up." A lot of what she was thinking at the time was left unsaid however, including her concerns about his lioness' and whether or not they'd appreciate her help. But it was true she didn't want some random creature to come across her meal and take part, if it could help feed an already existing pride.
His words that followed almost fell upon deaf ears as she pondered about the carcass. But when Dama realized what the King had said, she glanced up at the rocks, hesitant. It was one thing to offer a pride full of more than capable members food, a completely different story to invade their home, unwelcome. Apprehensive, the silvery lioness looked up at Mufasa, her eyes echoing her thoughts. "I-.." In the back of her mind, her curiosity reigned, urging her to go with him, to find out what he had to show her. But still her fears overwhelmed the young lioness, as she looked to Mufasa in hesitation.
They say the eyes are the windows to our soul. The mirrors in which our fears, feelings, hurt and devotion shine through as brightly as any star in the sky. Dama's reflected her conflicting emotions quite plainly, as though the look on her muzzle didn't. Her voice wavered as she stammered "wh-what is it, great King?"

Bakhti nuzzled upto Mahiri, she buried her head in his mane, she loved that warm fluffy mane. "Hello Maawio, yes these are my children." She smiled and looked at her children and then her mate, "You taking them on a family hunting spree? Danzi, you going too?" She was curious, of course but a smile stayed on her face happily.

The young (but growing) cub lit up at his dad's arrival, promptly getting to his feet to meet the older lion's licks. But it seemed the other large male was going to tell them something? From the way he spoke, and the way even Kiburi sat still to listen, it must be important. So he listened too.
Gee... that was pretty amasing! Other prides? Pridelander and Firekin. Although the Firekin didn't sound too nice, nor did this plague thing. Eeww... He pulled a face and huddled down more. Although the colour changing part was interesting. Mchele didn't know much about these gods though, no one had told him about them. But it sure sounded like a neat trick.
The story finished, his attention was drawn away by the flicking of Danzi's mane as he tried to get it under control. Mchele gave a few paw swipes at it too, just for good measure. "Oh I won't." He told Danzi. "I don't want a mane like that. It's all flicky!"
The place seemed to be getting crowded and he'd never been on a hunt before. It might be fun. "I'll come I'll come!" He cried in reply to Mahiri, bouncing up on his hind legs. "Hunting sounds fun. Can Danzi come too?"

Danzi... Hunting...? Under his orange fur, his face flushed. "Um, actually, I'm not that great of a hunter..." What he'd been catching had been pure luck, but that, he knew, couldn't last forever. He shifted a bit, looking at his paws, not seeming to care when his hair got in his face once again. "I think I'll pass on the hunting. For now, at least." He looked up. "At least until I find answers to questions that plague me."

"Hunting, hunting, yeessss!" Kiburi bounced this time, small clouds of dust rising up from where her paws met the ground. "I be good hunter one day just like mama!"
She was suddenly filled with a burst of energy, anticipation, excitement and relief that they were finally going to do something more than lie about in the sun.
She whirled around, heading towards her brother who appeared to be talking about his mane still. Silly lion! Why he didn't want a mane she didn't understand! "Mmmchele hunt too." She moved towards him, lowering herself and reaching out to bat at his white-nose with a paw. It would be good to have him tag along so she was glad he was willing to join in.
It was only then that she needed to pause and catch her breath, turning briefly towards her much larger brother. What was he talking about?! He didn't like hunting? Silly noisy brother!

Sarabi smiled and lifted her head as the dark brown lioness approached and spoke. "Welcome back, Jasiri. Its wonderful to have you and Sukutu back. Mufasa? I'm not sure where he is, really... Lately I've been unable to travel far, so I'm often left out of the comings and goings around the Pridelands. He should be back soon though. He is home every night." She yawned widely as the warm sunlight made her drowsy, the gentle heat slipping into her golden pelt and relaxing tired muscles. The queen was looking forward to the return of her mate, as the sight of him always seemd to bring back a bit of her once exuberant energy. Being with him seemed the only time she could forget her fragile state and the many years that weighed down on both their shoulders. That thought turned crimson eyes to the young golden cubs around her. They were a living, breathing example of the great Circle. Even as she and her mate lost their youthful vigor, passing into the tempered wisdom of their elder years, their five cubs only grow in strength, grace, and cunning. A soft smile lit the lioness' face as she lounged on the warm rock of her pride's den, her eyes warm and gentle. She really was getting old... She seemed to think increasingly about the Circle of Life these days. ~~~~~~~~~~ A short distance from Priderock, a red lioness cub nosed around the base of a knarled, dead tree. Her little body squeezed through and among it's large roots, her whole attention focused on one thing. That thing sqeaked in fear and huddled in the scant protection of a low, curving root. Face twisted in a sadistic smile, Kiuma stretched out a taloned paw towards where the rat huddled. Two crossing roots trapped her shoulders, denying her easy access to her terror-striken prey. The smell of blood was light in the air, and streaks of red could be seen on various roots in a trail to where the rat hid. The princess had injured the little rodent, and chased it into the tangled web of tree roots.
Kiuma snarled in frustration, her smile slipping, when the roots held firm and her reaching paw fell inches short of her target. She didn't dare pull back though. If she allowed the rat any room at all, it would be gone in a flash, deep into the protection of the tree where she couldn't go. Drat, drat, drat! Where was Uumi when she needed an extra paw?

((Just a note for everyone... I have the password for the mule in the little Pridelands subforum. There is a thread that has all the Pride's information on it. If you'd like me to change anything on there that has to do with your lion(s), just drop me a PM, and I'll fix it. An example would be in the character descriptions. I've updated Sarabi's, and added Kiuma's. I'd like to fill in any blank areas, so if yours is blank, either post a little blirp in here, or PM it to me, and I'll add it.
I'd also like to know about any pairings/matings, so I can add that as well. I've got something up about Mufasa and Sarabi, as sort of an example. x3
^_^ Thanks.))

((Will do Dragonz))
The large lion gave an equally friendly smile back to Mahiri, Bahkti couldn't have picked a better mate. He looked very nice, he'd really have to introduce Jasiri to them. As his little 'sister' nuzzled him he let out a pleased, 'meow' like sound, purring deeply as he nuzzled her back. She smelt different, although a smirk came on his muzzle as to why that might be. He could smell Amari in the area, but that was good, Maawio deserved a good male, like any goodhearted lioness did. "It's great to see you too Maawio, you've grown so much..."
Sukutu watched as the Queen talked with Jasiri, a warmer smile appearing on his large maw, Jasiri was...truely amazing to him. She was kind, spunky, playful, energetic, beautiful, warm hearted, basicly the list was endless. He wondered in the back of his mind, when he would have a family with her, because he certainly wanted to settle down. Speaking of cubs, his thoughts trailed back to how Koho and Mwali where doing, his ears flattened a little before he stood up and stretched. "Hey guys I'm gonna go and check up on something, I won't be gone long...oh and if a big red lion called Mwali comes along with a Pridelander lioness and a few cubs, don't worry, they're my friends..."
With that the huge fluffy lion suddenly sped of back in the direction of where the small family was, his eye's narrowed against the dust he kicked up into the air as he made his way back. He had to check whether the others where alright.

The adolescent's green eyes turned at the sound of Sarabi's voice. Now there was a lion he'd never met! Then again... Bakhti was the only one he truly knew amid the lions, Kiburi and Mchele growing to be more known to him by the moment. He couldn't help but be proud to call himself their brother. He got up, heading over cautiously. "E-excuse me... Would you be Sarabi...? I heard tell from a bird in a tree that that was the name of Mufasa's mate..." Hesitation filled him. "I wouldn't be asking, really, but I kinda wanted to join the pride. I mean, sure, I'm no good at much more than a cubsitter, but..." Boy, was he a pathetic lion... How had he survived as a rogue, again...? Oh, yes, he'd gotten by on luck alone... But thinking back, maybe it wasn't all luck, maybe it was more. Like skill...

From the direction of the boarder between the wildlands and the pridelands the form of the massive red lion could be seen making his way steadily towards pride rock. He'd recently been accepted into the pridelands... though the general feelings of having the former Firekin prince was still rather divided among the pridelanders. He was indeed his father's son as far as his looks went. Massive for even a lion, his coat a blazing red color to match that of his thick mane, but personality wise... he was more or less just a large cub. He'd not had to hunt a day in his life as a youth so his skills in that area left something to be desired. However, not anyone that had been around the red goliath had doubted his ability to fight if it came down to it... and being a firekin his pride's reputation hung over him almost constantly.
His green eyes had locked onto the now very frightening form of the massive rock that served as the den for the pride and the home of the royal family. If anyone didn't know better, they could swear he looked afraid. His tail snapped sharply from side to side to further display the tension.
His cubs... by the goddess he hadn't thought that they might be in danger... the ways of his pride were very harsh and though the pridelanders claimed to be very different in their ways, he couldn't help but wonder how they'd take the news of halfbreeds between him- a now exiled firekin prince, and the sister of the king. Well if there was any blame to be pointed out, he'd take it. He had been the one to lead her away from her lands on his affairs, and he'd been the one that had... well....
Clearnig his throat he paced himself to the crest of a large rock half embeded in the ground. Perhaps he should announce himself first... his suprise visits never got quite the reactions he thought were appropreate.
His great mouth parted as a thunderous roar sounded from it, indeed the roar of a firekin but carring a message that was meant to simply announce him coming, and his desire to speak with the king- or queen... whomever he could contact.

Sarabi raised her head as an unfamiliar male voice spoke close by her. Bright crimson eyes blinked a few times before she focused on the newcommer. For a disorienting moment, she gazed on her brother-in-law and intense terror filled her. She was in a memory of the past, trapped as two lions chased this one and his brother from the pride. Her heart galloped dangerously, stressing her already frail body as her breath came fast. Then memory returned and new information came from her senses. That memory was old, and the color of the young lion before her was brighter than the one she remembered. His face was also kinder, and his body more filled out. Not Taka, then, back from the dead, but a new lion of much the same coloring. "H-hello... What? Yes, I'm Sarabi, Mufasa's mate." His requested finally registered, bringing a soft smile to her face. "It seems that everyone wants to become part of the pride these days. So far none have been refused, so I doubt that you'll be either. If you've gotten this close to me, then you must have friends among the other lions. You have my approval, at least, but all final decisions are made by the King. You must speak with him, as Jasiri must."Round ears suddenly perked at the sound of a roar in the distance. Rising wearily to her feet, the Queen walked to the tip of Priderock to gaze out over the savanah. Mwali? It must be... the roar was so familiar. Drawing a deep breath into her lungs, practically the only part of her that didn't tire like the rest, she let loose a roar that would carry over the distance, announcing her prescence and welcoming the pride-member. ~~~~~~~ Kiuma froze, her eyes darting in the direction of the first roar as her ears pressed flat against her head. The speaker wasn't anyone she knew, and the red cub felt a spurt of fear. Unnoticed, the injured made its bid for freedom and was gone. This new lion sounded big and fierce... and she was out her all alone. Mewing pitifully, she struggled to wriggled out of the suddenly cage-like roots, getting more and more stuck with her struggles. The roar of her mother soothed her a little, but she still felt desperation squeeze at her heart. Mommy was far away, from the sound of it... she was all alone out here with a strange lion that could be hostile... Kiuma let out a mewling cry, claws scrabbling at the bark.
