But at first, she hesitated, not feeling ready for a double combo yet. Also, it was beginning to somewhat bother her...how expressionless the clone looked. Hm...will it be a little too much if she add that to the double manipulation? Elruda closed her eyes for a moment, concentrating deeply on her chakra...it was...a bit strange feeling herself so connected to something else - but then, the clone did come from her, from her life-force chakra, after all. How close was she to finishing...? No...does that even matter anymore? She was learning and advancing steadily.

Perhaps the idea of clearing her mind before working on the actual Jutsu itself really did helped, as Elruda not only was able to perform the Horse and Ram signs well but had done it at the same time when she had the clone charge at her. Maybe the older members of her clan weren't so senile to so emphasize on meditation and of such. Her manipulation had also improved enough to give the clone a somewhat fair range of expressed emotions, though Elruda still had not begun with trying to get the clone to speak. Never mind that, first thing's first...and she still has remaining handseals to complete for practice.

So next were the Monkey and Bird signs... If she remains composed, this should be easy enough. And when she is done with that, there would only be two remaining handseals left. Elruda smiled a little, her progress was flowing a bit more smoothly now, and had gone better than it could've been. Though it was hard to battle her impatience...but then again, that was the point of training, right? Because there is no mastering of techniques without patience and hard work...her clan's Juuken Kempo was acknowledged as one of the most difficult taijutsu styles.

The more she practiced double manipulation, the easier it became for her. Now that it comes to mind...she had actually gotten the manipulation down quicker than most other children with their first introduction to elemental manipulation techniques. Speaking of which...elemental manipulation was generally save for Chuunin-rank hopefuls. So what was next? Ah...the signs of the dog and boar. The last two signs of the zodiac. Elruda became very happy with the prospect of finishing - perhaps she will make Wrath's time limit after all.

Hn... How strange. When had she so gotten used to showing such a range of emotions? Back in Konoha, she was generally kept away from others...her acquaintances more than often so her large clan and family. Family? What family... The child shuddered slightly as she remembered the cold, giant compound...icy, contemptuous looks from the older and more revered members...a mockery that they had to use her formal title, not being able to call the child 'brat' or 'useless thing'. But Elruda had especially excelled in divination...and she could see the venom in their eyes. Home? When was the last time her mother had held or sang her to sleep... Did...she even ever?

So she had finished with practicing having the clone perform the twelve handseals...so now, she had practical matters to fix. Firstly, get the clone to talk...fix the volume and range of the clone's voice to match her own...before having the doppelganger repeat long phrases after her. The final task would be to have the doppelganger voice her own thoughts - undoubtedly the trickiest challenge to this part. But she was so close to finishing the Jutsu entirely...so she can't give up now.

When Elruda first got the clone to talk, she winced slightly at how horribly close to water the voice sounded. She walked closer to the clone, channeling a bit more chakra before manipulating the chakra of the clone to aid during the speaking. The second time, it was a little better, except the clone's voice was still much softer than her own and still wounded watery. More trails ensued, as Elruda would say something and have the clone repeat after her. A curious look was in the child's pale violet eyes, obviously reflecting some element of dissatisfaction with the clone's performance.

If she was supposed to fool an opponent with these clones, first, it has to fool herself. Elruda sung a short song, emphasizing dynamics here and there, some other parts smoother and slurred, while others were more light, staccato-like before having the clone repeating after her. Every once a while, Elruda would stop the clone, before rearranging her concentration and control over the clone's chakra reserves before finally she was somewhat satisfied with the clone's finally established chakra-masked voice.

Now that she had the voice done, she would advance to the next phrase - have the clone voice her own thoughts. This phase was tricky because Elruda wasn't aiming to influence the clone's chakra reserves, but rather the clone's "mind". To do so, she had to be "connected" with the clone wholly spiritual-wise...somewhat like in meditation lessons, how she had to "connect" with nature. As expected, the first few attempts were drawn out failures...as the clone was only able to barely stutter out the beginning to her words.

But as she continued, the words of the clone gradually became more confident, before becoming more and more recognizable. After a while, Elruda stopped the clone - clearly tired with her efforts. But her hard work was showing fruitation, as she had completed many aspects of mastering the Mizu Bunshin already. Now, for the final trail...she would repeat the whole technique and display each detail she had managed to master on her own...before Wrath could consider that she had mastered this technique.

Firstly, the Hyuuga child dismissed her existing clone. Then, closing her eyes, Elruda spent some time molding her chakra, holding the Tiger seal in place as she drew energy from her mind and body. She had a better hang of the molding process by now and as she combined her chakra with elemental manipulation, using the water of the air, she gradually built a perfect Mizu Bunshin. However, this time, the clone's expression did not remain blank - rather a confident smirk as she faced a single open palm against Elruda...almost as if in challenge. "Come on." The clone would say, her voice matching Elruda's own, before charging and lashing an open palm against her. Elruda ducked, obviously pleased her attempt to emulate Juuken Kempo appeared to be successful. After a few short moments of sparring, the two stopped.
Elruda looked expectantly at Wrath and smiled cheerfully. "Finished!"

"Now work on your kempo." Wrath simply said. "I'll stick around for a little while longer but I've gotta leave to go take care of something soon." Wrath added.

"Hai, Wrath-Sensei!" Elruda smiled cheerfully at Wrath's next order. Kempo, huh? Oddly, she had expected it. And it was strange that she felt oddly confident even though she had just finished two Jutsus and theoretically, should be fatigued. Elruda began quickly forming the handseals for the Byakugan, but by now she was able to drop one or two less. The familiar veins crept around her eyes as the child dropped into her Juuken stance. To her eyes, her divination field became visible: a yin-yang marking with eight symbols surrounding.

Bending her left knee forward, Elruda pulled her right arm back before lashing a palm into the air. A blue flash of chakra flared in the air. No... Elruda thought. Something was wrong. The chakra path wasn't supposed to look like a blade. Elruda did not need to glance down at her fingers, only lightly shift her field of vision. Ah. Just as she suspected - the chakra needle that was supposed to be forced at her fingertips didn't look like a needle at all. Rather, it would seem the chakra from the two fingers on which the needle-like chakra point would form rather instead looked like a puppet master's threads.

Elruda dropped her stance, standing up straight, before she worked on clearing her mind of all stray thoughts. She would need every ounce of concentration for this task...and could not afford distractions. The chakra molding process was quick and easy enough - now she need to channel the chakra from her body to her fingertips. Slowly, she reassumed her stance, letting her open palm face outwards before charging, her right hand that was open palm only a moment before switched to two fingers...and Elruda jabbed the rock.
