"...It-It doesn't matter if the p-people believe it-it is wrong... If th-the rulers w-want it-it to happen... Th-Then it happens..." he said even more quietly. Arron had seen what a corrupt governing body could do to its people. It was not pretty.

"And that is why this war has been continuing for such a long time... but it stops here." Talbot's face was serious as he spoke, and he looked in the direction they were going to travel once more. "And just as the soldiers are people, so too are the royalty. I believe in my heart that the king and queen of the black kingdom, as well as of the white kingdom, want this to come to an end. They would not have established a treaty for me to deliver in the first place if that was not a shared desire." he spoke as though he truly believed in all he said.

Arron nodded & stood as the last bit of his candy dissolved in his mouth. "Y-You're right..." he said offering a hand to his friend to help him up, "On th-that note... we-we should get going."

"My only worry is that the king and queen of the black kingdom will be as blood thirty as my teachings have led me to believe. It's natural to put your enemy in a poor light, but if any of that is true, then negotiations will be very difficult indeed." he nodded thoughtfully, then took Arron's hand, standing up. When he was upright, he approached Atticus. "I think this may be an appropriate place for you to stay. We shouldn't be long now until we reach the black kingdom, so you're safest here."Atticus grunted, not liking that idea any more than he had when it was suggested in the first place.

The mechanic was glad to know that it would not be much longer until they reached the kingdom. He stretched again, & then adjusted the armor. It felt so odd on him. He was not fond of it. "Per-Perhaps it-it is propaganda?" suggested Arron as he started walking up the path ahead of them.

Talbot walked as well, making sure to do so in a way that didn't put strain on his injured shoulder. By outer appearances, he didn't look injured at all. "It's likely. We'll have to see for ourselves, I guess." the knight responded, eyes sharp in case they were intercepted.

Arron was on the lookout as well. He silently hoped they would not be met with hostility if they were met at all. He would keep walking, despite being a rather large target.

Scarred ground was all around them, and the sound of slashing weapons and scream rang out from the distance, though not in the direction they were going. Talbot frowned, but kept his focus forward, only stopping in his tracks when he saw a congregation of black soldiers all headed for the kingdom ahead. It was equally beautiful to the white kingdom, only dark and covered in blue flags. The towers were taller, but the building wasn't as spread out, meaning that the two kingdoms were likely equal in size. The knight needed time to take this in, as it was his first time seeing the kingdom.

The young man stopped along with his companion. "Oh my st-stars..." he said softly, "Th-This is... amazing..." After a few minutes, he looked at the knight to see his reaction.

Talbot's temporarily golden eyes sparkled upon seeing the kingdom. He was told it was a terrible place, and though he was used to the bright and warm colours of his own kingdom, he found the black kingdom just as beautiful. The time to admire it was short, however, and he began to march toward it with brave, sure strides. There were two guards at the front, but as many soldiers were entering the kingdom, they hardly paid Arron and Talbot any mind.

The Lythcol mechanic matched the knight's marching. He tried not to stray from the line & bump into the guards in front of them. It was more difficult than he thought it would be. His head swiveled around looking at the fine structures.

"Hey, you." one of the soldiers at the door suddenly called out to Arron.Talbot froze up, but kept his expression cool and collected. He looked over at the one that had called out to his friend, but remained silent himself.

"Greeaaat job mechanic...." Arron heard from his counterpart in his head.
"Y-Yes Sir?" Arron said nervously. He was afraid that he had blown the whole operation.

The man's expression turned from an angry, stern expression, to a smug grin. "How's the weather up there?" he asked. The knight beside him snickered, covering her mouth.

"...How original." he heard his counterpart say, who's voice was dripping with sarcasm.
Despite the bullying question, Arron smiled kindly. "It-It's quite pl-pleasant. Th-Thank y-you Sir..." he said politely. Arron was hoping to not draw anymore attention to himself.
