Roxanne laughs at X'el's warning about making bargains with the fairy. "I've negotiated with demons and devils, a fairy should be child's play if it tries anything like that." Realizing her back was in no condition to be hauling about a massive pregnancy and a human sized fairy, Roxanne dropped the fairy by the carriage entrance and waddled inside. A few seconds later she returned with a glowing green crystal-like rock. Breaking off a third of the rock, it crumbled to dust and she sprinkled it atop the fairies head where the healthstone began to work its healing magic. "Good thing I thought to keep one of these around..." Roxanne muttered, putting the rest of the rock into her bag. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vor'dra frowns and crosses her arms under her bountiful breasts. "Words mean very little to me in most cases... I've far more likely to accept your apology if you... I don't know... owe me a favor to be collected later? Nothing crazy... something simple like a spell or an hour of your time..." The succubus' tail lazily drifts back and forth as she worked her charm.

X'el watched Roxanne struggle with the fairy-like man for a moment, mild amusement playing across her features. "I can see the frailty of humanity is giving you some trouble there, but I don't think it's a good idea to leave this thing out in the open just yet. Not until we've determined its intentions." she stepped over the crumpled Fae and brushed past Roxanne, looking around at the inside of the carriage thoughtfully. "Do you have somewhere we might keep it? You know, besides your coat closet..." The wild mage cast Vor'dra a wry glance. He felt a tingling in his extremities as blood was pulled away to satisfy the needs of other regions in his body. That wouldn't do though, so he leapt down from his perch to clear his head. He took a couple of steps toward the succubus. " What do you take me for? A fool? I'm not entering into any pact with a demon! And besides..." he began to walk in a circle around her, running his fingertips across her swollen belly and around the small of her back. " Believe it or not, it isn't that difficult for me to find lovers. If sex is all you have to offer, then perhaps I've been overestimating you." Cassius broke his circle and continued around some of the piles of knick-knackery, making for the door. It was a deliberately slow movement, perhaps even theatrical. He paused when he was a good distance away and turned his head, not quite looking over his shoulder. " Shame, really...

(Is the carriage still near the center/lower part of the city? I'm actually doing a little research to give Narran'jo a better reason to be in town besides being a pickpocket, like what crops grow naturally at an oasis. He may just dabble in plum and peach trading)

((The carriage has actually moved into some caverns beneath the city, accessible via the sewer system. After the battle, everyone decided upon finding a more secure place to use as a "base of operations." If you want, you can PM me and we can discuss getting you back in the game; I'm in the process of doing just that with a few others as well! 3nodding ))

The healing powder from the crumbled stone worked its magic. The gash on Teasel's head stopped leaking blood. It coagulated and then the flesh began to regenerate until there was no longer a wound, but clean pale skin smeared with blue glitter blood. Teasel's eyelashes fluttered and his eyes opened. He blinked several times, his gaze unfocused and a look of pain and confusion on his face. He had one hell of a headache and still had a concussion. The healing stone did wonders for flesh wounds but for a brain injury, not so much. He raised a delicate and shaking hand and tried to wipe the sticky liquid out of his eyes. His hand came away smeared with blood and he looked alarmed and still very confused. "Buhh?" Was what he intelligently managed to get out. He looked around, clasping one hand to his head as he squinted through the pain of a headache. Looking around made him feel incredibly dizzy and images blurred, but he managed to make out his surroundings. How did he get here? The last thing he remembered was flying, trying to get away from something, or someone. A vague feeling of panic flashed through his scattered mind. "Where...this?" he tried out, hearing other voices around him. He tried to move around to look behind him but quickly found out trying to move much at all made him feel dizzy and sick. He lay on the steps of the carriage, looking up and into its interior, seeing Roxanne and X'el, who were currently both inside near the entrance. "You guys?" He raised a hand and pointed at them, blinking in confusion. "Round" he muttered.

Meanwhile, near the entrance to the depths, Narranj'o ducked down to escape the harsh sunlight and enjoy one of his peaches. "Stupid wench. This grew on Narranj'o's soil," he clicked, before biting into the tender, succulent fruit. He looked around at the aqueducts of the city and scoffed at the slipshod construction. It did its job at the least, but they could have put some effort into how it looked. Then noises came to his ear, familiar ones. He had heard those faint voices before, he was sure of it.

Roxanne laughs dryly and briefly glares at X'el. "I'd like to see you fully functional while carrying a pregnancy our size." The warlock retorts, nodding towards X'el's comparatively small belly. "If it trying anything naughty, I have... special accommodations in the basement." ------------------------------------------------------------- Vor'dra feigns innocence at Cassius' remark, "A pact? Oh no, I was merely suggesting a verbal trade between friends..." A brief shiver traveling up her spine as the tender skin of her pregnant middle reacted to the tinkle of magic radiating from his fingertips. Despite the hormones raging through her body, the succubus kept her cool. "Ah but through such simple means, I offer so much more than that..." Ignoring his move towards the door, she slowly saunted towards the room's large bed, her hands brushing across the variety of knick knacks as she passed. "A legacy... immortality..." Climbing atop the bed, the heavily pregnant succubus stretches out. "I am merely the lock protecting such things but you... have the key..." ------------------------------------------------------------- Roxanne glances down at the now awake fairy man. "While not the most flattering way to greet the ones who saved yourself, he isn't wrong..." Roxanne said, placing a hand atop her pregnant swell as she waddling over to sit on one of the benches near Teasel. "Sewers of Suncrest, you gave yourself a nasty head wound running... flying... into a wall."

((Viper: I hadn't even imagined a bed being discernible under all the junk in Cassius's room, but we'll go with that! xD & MF: I believe Roxanne currently has them stashed in a bag of holding or something. If I remember correctly.)) X'el leaned against the door frame opposite Roxanne and gave her a coy grin. "Perhaps you can visit my home sometime, then. Heavily expectant or not, the females of my kind have no trouble fulfilling their duties until giving birth. But then, we never allowed the males to dominate our society..." Her eyes drifted down to the Fae creature when it spoke up. It knew Common serviceably well, it seemed. She raised a brow at its rather rude remark, putting her heel to the creatures shoulder to press it back to the ground. "I'm far more interested in knowing exactly what it was you were in such a hurry to get to. Or, more like, to get away from." Cassius heard his bed creak under the weight of what he knew must be the pregnant succubus, and it made him pause. He was sure turning around would be the worst thing he could possibly do at that moment, so he steeled himself against that notion. Then he turned around. " Sunnuva..." He noted that the mental curse was both anger toward himself and awe for the sight before him. Vor'dra looked glorious, positioned as she was. The symbol of her fertility jutted out like the ripest fruit on the vine, and she was almost certainly just as delicious. Cassius wasn't completely sure when he had moved closer, but he realized he was now standing right next to the bed. His hand was hovering just over her navel, dangerously close to starting something it shouldn't. Then her words struck another jealous nerve, and his senses returned to him. " That's obviously not worth very much, seeing as you're already carrying someone else's 'legacy' and 'immortality' and what have you. I'm sure that whole 'lock and key' metaphor works on most of the lads you take for toys, but I'm not so easily ensnared. However, if it's a 'verbal exchange between friends' you want..." Suddenly he leapt up into the bed and stood over her, one foot on either side of her thighs. He lowered himself down to her slowly, making sure to graze the underside of her swollen belly with his groin. Then his face was before hers, their lips a shudder away from touching. " Its precious you think a simple devil whore is worthy of my seed." The words came out sharp and venomous, so much so that they stung even him. They felt like someone else's. He'd have spent more time considering what was said if his head weren't already heavy with lust. Getting so close was almost the last thing he did in his right mind, completely idiotic in retrospect, but Cassius did so love to one up those around him. He managed -with no small amount of effort- to pull himself away again and stand back up. The walk to the other side of the room was an awkward one as tight as his breeches now were. Regardless, when he finally got to sit down at a half-buried desk he allowed himself a victorious little smile. And a heaving sigh of mild relief, but still.

(Oh yeah, I do have a vague recollection of that. When they were riding inside the carriage towards this place, I think she did put them somewhere like that...ugh my memory's too fuzzy)) The young man squinted up at Roxanne from his position lying just inside the door of the carriage/movable house. He watched her blurry figure sit down on a bench nearby and he realised she was speaking to him. His crumpled wings flickered a bit as he strained his ears to focus on her speech. "Oh. Ohhh" he breathed, piecing together her words. "Yeah, my head really hurts. Guess that explains it" he frowned a little, looking at the congealing blood on his skin. "Thank you. F-for healing my wound. I don't think I'll be going anywhere soon in this state though" he clasped his head with one hand, groaning and wincing. "I'm sorry. I was fleeing something. I...I think. I can't...remember too well" he blinked dazedly. He heard another woman's voice chime in and looked up to the doorway to see the wavering figure of X'el. He found her heel pushing him down harder on the ground (since he still was too unwell to get up) and she also spoke to him, though she was far more rude than the red haired woman. He winced as his bruised and crumpled wings were pressed between his body and the floor. "Ow! I- ah ahh!" he gasped from the pain and let out a soft whimper. "I do-don't remember. I just know it was bad" The feeling of sickening fear and foreboding in the back of his mind told him that much. His eyes watered a little and he stifled a soft sob. His terror fueled journey here after the destruction of his homeland and other fairies had taken many days and nights, and also taken quite the toll on the young fairy's mind and emotions, as well as his body. For a weak and very young member of his long lived and powerful race, he was doing amazingly well to make it so far. Not that he knew that.

(@ MM & MF; I believe Fallen's character was suppose to have them but for the sake of keeping things rolling with the characters we have, Roxanne will have them in her magical satchel =P And yeah, I did forget to consider random stuff cluttering the bed but pretend she just kicked it all onto the ground or she found the pocket where stuff wasn't xD) Roxanne rolls her eyes at X'el's reply. With an army of slaves and male drows at their beck and call, a drow female's list of duties was probably limited to drink wine... kill some people... and continuing drinking wine. Returning her attention of the injured fairy, Roxanne used her staff to knock one of the carriage's pillows free and scoot it under his head. "Perhaps we underestimated the dogma of these guards... I would have assumed our trail impossible to follow without the help of the arcane... Still why would they be chasing a fairy?" Roxanne rubbed her chin in thought with one hand while the other lightly drummed her belly. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Vor'dra smiled, maintaining unblinking eye contact with Cassius the whole time despite the venom in his words. Allowed him his moment to vent and momentary victory that followed, Vor'dra patiently waited for him to find his seat before speaking up again. "And you dare call yourself a master of the arcane..." Tsking under her breath but loud enough to be heard, Vor'dra mockingly hung her head in shame. "All this time in the presence of such a relic and you haven't bothered deciphering the tiniest bit of its magic so busy you were with your oh so plentiful lovers and these... mundane... man-made... knick-knacks..." The expectant demon compounds this sentence by lobbing random trinkets from atop the bed at Cassius. "Luckily for you... this 'simple devil whore'... has done her own research. Honestly it's quite amazing what you accomplish while imprisoned in a soul gem..." (Slight amendment to my previous plan with you that Vor'dra birth some imps before getting her hands on Cassius, I got something far more devious in mind now.)

((I'm still here! *waves* Holidays have me severely bogged down between work and family gatherings, but I've been working on posts whenever I have the chance! Lots going on in the story, and I certainly don't want to post some crappy little post just to be posting. That's not fair to anyone! So, without further adieu...)) "The Fae are far too squishy for my taste. No fight in them at all; no backbone to dig around for." The expectant drow huffed. She removed her foot from the fairy's shoulder, leaning back against the door frame and pouting. X'el looked around the open cavern for a moment. She felt her boredom growing. Understandably, her newfound companions would want to settle in and rest a spell...but X'el had been waiting too long for an opportunity to confront Thalmius. The idleness was enough to drive her insane, so instead she tried to focus on other things. She stroked the small bump of her belly, pondering Roxanne's words. "It could be as simple as them taking the creature for a harbinger of shadows and darkness and whatever else it is they hate so much. After all, blue isn't really a hue reminiscent of the sun. Then again..." she began visibly perking up at the prospect of a more interesting idea. "Maybe this had nothing to do with the guards at all. This fairy could have just as easily flown its way out of the city, but instead it made its way deeper inside. Deeper still, to have found us where we are now. I think the real question is: What would be more frightening than the fanatics, in these parts?" All the light drained from the room. It wasn't quite the instantaneous darkness that comes from a candle winking out, but rather a slower and more deliberate dimming that eventually consumed all light. In that blackness, Vor'dra could feel the familiar sensation of pressure and wrongness from the vision she'd had when last Cassius was upset. Only now it was much more potent. More real. A pair of glowing purple eyes opened just in front of her face. Braziers flared to life with lavender fire all around her, illuminating the area and revealing that she was sitting atop a stone table, once again unburdened by pregnancy...and pinned beneath a very large creature. The thing bore similar facial features to Cassius, but the similarities stopped there. It's skin was stark white and it had two small humanoid arms beneath two larger clawed ones. A forked tongue lazily flicked out from between the uneven tusks of its maw. Large nippleless breasts jutted proudly from its chest. The horns of what looked like several species of beast were growing at odd angles from under the tangled mess of long black hair atop its head. Four wings, two bat-like and two feathered, draped upside down from its back. It had a tail, or rather a long tentacle that ended in a wicked barb. Not much else was discernible in the low light, but that was certainly enough. A third eye opened on the forehead of the beast and Vor'dra could hear a voice of many voices, though the creatures mouth never moved. "Impudent little thing. Think you worthy to bear the seed of Chaos, concubine of the Abyss Lords?" In his pursuit through the sewers beneath the city, Narranj'o never realized he was being pursued himself. The increased traffic in the area was more than enough to leave the air smelling like fresh meat to the troll that made its lair in a nearby drainage nexus. Surprisingly agile for something its size, the beast quickly reached the source of all the tantalizing scents. Unafraid of the comparably-diminutive creature lurking at the mouth of the cavern, the troll charged forward and brought its heavy fists to bear down on it with a feral bellow. It had been ages since the troll had smelled so much meat in one place, and it was hungry.

(@MF: Its the holidays, I'm sure we are all scrambling about to various degrees xD But post away, no need to wait unless you are waiting on a reaction to something. biggrin ) Leaning heavily against her staff, her large pregnant middle taking far more out of her than she would like, Roxanne cocked an eyebrow at their drow companion. "This is entrance to your domain, you tell me. Maybe it was fleeing an animated pile of sewage? Or a..." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Surprised but the sudden vision more than shocked, Vor'dra quickly recovered her composure and undaunted, returned the creature's glare. "Ah... how foolish of me... I forgot to ask permission of Cassius' parent's to seduce their son... So how about it Momma? Am I not good enough for your offspring?" As a creature of the abyss, Vor'dra had been exposed to her fair share of demons and their ilk but the creature before her definitely took the cake for being one of the more... unique. Yum... cake...------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Roxanne's sentence was cut short as a feral roar echoed through the expansive sewer system. Suddenly on high alert, Roxanne's hand disappeared into her satchel, fumbling for the soulgem that contained her felguard. "Correction... animated sewage doesn't have that kind of lung capacity..." Roxanne added.

((I'm gonna go ahead and post again, since it doesn't really impact what's going on with anyone besides Viper just yet.)) X'el sighed and shot Roxanne an exasperated look. "Well, this is more of a long path that eventually leads to my domain, but...An animated pile of sewage? Underdark or no, that's the best you can come up with?" She lets out a small giggle. "I'm sure even something as skittish as this Fae thing would be able to hold its own against an animated pile of..." "Momma...?" the creature asked to no one in particular, cocking its head to the side. It blinked its two normal-ish eyes and then glanced down at itself. For a moment the thing was silent, but then it threw its head back in a terrible laugh. When it regained its composure, it used its humanoid hands to cup the breast-like protrusions on its chest. "Think you I am female because of these? Surely the denizens of your homeland have taught you that appearances seldom allude to the truth. However, perhaps this form is indeed a bit much for a simple conversation." Vor'dra was almost instantly surrounded by a thick cloud of purple. She felt the presence before her shrink, though the pressure of overwhelming power remained. When the smoke cleared, a solid black-eyed and very nude Roxanne sat before her. The smile she gave the succubus was positively wolvish. "There. A more familiar and...practical form. Now, as I was saying..." she began in the same strange myriad of voices, leaning forward and straddling Vor'dras hips. "You wish something of me. Perhaps you do not know exactly what it is you ask, but I assure you that far more mighty beings than you have come before me asking for the same. I grant you this audience solely because the relics you and your companions ignorantly call idols put you in a rather unique position which might just allow you to bear my gift. But are you worthy to bear it, I wonder?" "...s**t!" X'el finished her sentence. The roar quickly became a cacophony of louder echoing noises as one edge of the mouth of the cavern leading back up into the sewers was reduced to rubble. The familiar -albeit now covered in dust- form of the sahuagin, Narranj'o, came rolling down the tunnel and into the stream near the carriage. Not a moment later, the source of the bestial noise stepped into view: a monstrous lake troll complete with sickly green skin, disheveled black hair, cruel claws, and a mouth filled with scummy teeth. The thing was positively enormous, larger than it should ever have any right to be, and covered in scars. There even looked to be rusty old weapons sticking out of its hide, testaments to long-past victories in battle. Taking quick notice of the appearance of more tasty bodies before it, the troll let out another battle cry and made a wild beeline for the carriage.
