"...She's still cute, even when she's fussy," Kimiko comented. "Next time we get to a town, we definitely gotta go shoppin' for baby clothes and supplies."
Even though now there was more room, Jack still was more than a bit apprehensive to go in. He just felt very awkward, and couldn't explain why. This, in turn, spured Chase's curiosity, and he began searching thourgh the boy's memories to try and find the reason for his uneasyness.

Hearing Nina's words, Jack felt his stomach clench up a bit. "U-um... N-no, that won't be us..." he began, slowly and nervously.

She smiled Kimiko. "That would be a great idea. And Nina will help, won't you? I could use a lot of help finding things for her to wear. She smiled to Nina and then saw Jack. "Little brother, are you alright?"

Nina looked at Jack, a little bit puzzled, she looked at Kikyo with a bright smile and said, "Of course Nina will be more than happy to help!" She then looked back to Jack, concerned, her eyes asking him to tell her what was up.

"I... I physically can't have kids..." Jack admitted, looking down and feeling ashamed. "Well, that certainly explains how awkward you were feeling. It's a bit like flaunting a Thanks Giving dinner infront of a starving man, isn't it?"

"Don't feel bad!" Nina, ignoring Chase, gave Jack a reassuring hug, "when it's time we can always adopt! Or we can be host parents!! Like the host parents I live with on Earth!"

Kikyo felt a little bad. "If it's alright with Link, perhaps you could even possibly be her god parents. I'm sure it will be quite some time before we'll need one, but... wouldn't trust much one else with this kind of thing." She gave a sisterly smile to Jack.

Jack hugged Nina back, feeling a bit better now that he knew she wasn't upset by it. "Me? Be a godfather? ...And here I was, happy at being a sort of unofficial uncle," he joked, to show his lightened mood.
((Argh. Comp's bein' a douche. Be back after it restarts. Shouldn't take longer than a couple minutes)

Nina kept a loose hold on Jack, "That would be so much fun!" Nina smiled brightly, glad that she could help Jack feel better.

"I don't see why not. I trust both you and Nina since I consider you two sort of unoffical family. I would personally be honored." She smiled and then looked down at Oomizu who had finnally quiet down and was back to sleep.

"Oh, shut up," Jack snapped, but he said it with a small smile. "So, like... What exactly does a godparent do?" he asked, curious.

"Well, if something were to happen to Link and I and we aren't able to take care of Oomizu for reason, ussually due to death, then you and Nina would take custody. Or, at least, I'm pretty sure that's how it works. But, for the most part, you'll be there to try and make her happy any way you think you should. Do things likeplay with her and treat her kindly." She smiled.

She laughed quietly. "Why wouldn't I trust you? You were one of the first people I actually got to know, Nina's a sweet and caring person, and both of you have grown so much since we all first met. I think it's a great idea for you two to be the godparents." She smiled sincerely to them both.

Nina blushed shyly, still holding onto Jack, "Nina's honored that you trust Nina that much! I'll be the best godmother I can be!" she smiled proudly.
