Her efforts were not bearing much results... Though she was progressing, it was a painfully slow progress. While members of her clan was generally highly patient...the same did not apply for Elruda. Rather, for the child, it looked like she was seething with annoyance. "Argh! Move right, you...you thing!" Having lost her patience, a rather brutal Juuken Kempo strike, looking strangely perfect even though Elruda had not entirely completed the Kempo's basics, struck the clone and it converted into water, splashing all over the ground. Elruda sighed. Greeeeat. Now, she got to remake the clone as well.

Elruda had formed the Tiger handseal to help her mind while concentrating on the chakra molding process. It was still something rather foreign to her, converting chakra for use in ninjutsus...as Hyuuga's style more involves using chakra in its pure form. But that did not mean she wasn't able to abridge her chakra molding time - in fact, noticeably her chakra molding speed had gotten much better. And this Jutsu, Mizu Bunshin, was basically her first actual acquaintance with elemental manipulation. Surprisingly, when she let out a flow of chakra, Elruda was able to build a Mizu Bunshin near effortlessly. Molding the features until the clone "solidfied" was a bit trickier, but otherwise she had not much trouble producing a perfect clone.

So now comes her pain and great grief - figuring how the hell to control these things. Elruda closed her eyes, trying to feel for and find the chakra affinity binding her with the clone. She'll have to get used to basic locating by chakra without relying on her Byakugan - afterall, it was great and all that her doujutsu gave chakra a visible appearance but she need to prepare for a scenario where she might have trouble or that her doujutsu might not help in. Alright...so she found it. What was next again? Oh, that's right. Directing her concentration all upon that affinity...

Elruda had not expected the clone to move. She had perfectly expected it would stand as still as a statue, as she attempt to make it budge. But surprisingly, the clone was walking - walking normally. Elruda blinked. Maybe trail and error was somewhat helping. Alright...now to make the clone move somewhat like how she did... A curious thought entered her head. What if she accidentally made the clone fall in her attempts? Would it just break into nothing but water droplets again? Her strike earlier couldn't have been that hard, right...?

Interesting... Though Elruda wasn't sure why she was suddenly able to have much influential control over her doppelganger's movements...as not only was she first able to get it to move normally, now the clone could somewhat emulate her own movements. Perhaps letting out her anger and frustrations earlier was a good idea...it somewhat calmed her mind, or at least enough for her to control her Mizu Bunshin's movements. Now, the problem was getting the clone to do handseals...and do them properly... Ode joy... Elruda thought dully. She was going to enjoy this particular part alright...or at least sarcastically speaking. Genuinely, she wished Mizu Bunshins could think on their own like Kage Bunshins...but that wasn't happening. And afterwards, she gotta get them to be able to talk properly as well.

As expected, the clone did the rat seal all wrong. Elruda slapped a palm exasperatedly to her face and gently shook her head. Ok. So let's try that again...slip the third finger here...no, not there you stupid clone! A vein throbbed dangerously on Elruda's temple - her patience was fusing short. Hmph. Who needs the rat seal anyways? I'm not a Nara! Yet, she still did not just skip to the next seal...even if the Ne sign was commonly used by the Nara clan in their shadow manipulation. But Elruda's anger eased a little as she noted to herself the Mizu doppelganger had a shadow of its own. A curious thought wandered into her head - could doppelgangers be manipulated to use clan Jutsus?

Well, she doesn't know about the Hyouton clans...but the Senju clan of her village had a special doppelganger technique of their own, that was capable of performing Mokouton techniques. As far as kekkai genkai goes...clone usage of bloodlimit techniques were very rightly limited. Hm...the Aburame could form clones out of their bugs... Well. If she plans to combine Juuken Kempo with a Mizu Bunshin...it probably wasn't a very good idea - considering the clone was made out of water and thus a heavy substance for a Kempo style that required near lightning quick movements.

Perhaps her newfound interest was helping...as the clone was able to successfully form the rat seal, followed by the seal of the ox. Actually...now that Elruda thought about it...this technique would actually help with her Kempo, as she needed to learn about exact, extremely precise control - which were also the same ideals for her Juuken Kempo, for the formation and maintainance of chakra-like needles at the finger-tips in order to attack tenketsu nodes. Tenketsu nodes were the size of a needle-point...true the Hyuuga clan could see them, but high accuracy was still needed - missing a single node could leave the clansmember disastrously unprepared for a sudden counter-attack. The same notion was here, except her target was slightly better than a needle's point.

Hn. Controlling the fingers were much harder than she expected. Elruda took a deep breath, counted to ten, to alleviate her growing irritation - which just might end up with her destroying this second doppelganger. But what in the world was she doing wrong? Certainly, this wasn't a question of poor chakra control...she formed the clones just fine. Was her concentration the problem, then? Elruda shook her head slightly, trying to banish her mind of all stray thoughts. She tried to emulate her meditation lessons, by shutting out all distractions around her and focusing only on the task at hand - concentrating on the link between her and her doppelganger.

The increased piety in her concentration apparently did help, as she was able to fairly easily manipulate her clone into forming the Tiger (Tora) seal. Proceeding directly onto the Hare (U) seal from that position was a bit tricky...but after a few testing attempts, she was able to shift the clone's fingers from the Tora seal into the U seal's position. Excellent...she has only ten more handseals to go before she could work on the practical aspects of the clone - which in her case was speaking and then perhaps practicing quickening the seal-formation speed.

She wasn't able to have the clone form the Dragon (Tatsu) seal correctly...but that was alright. That particular handseal was harder than the previous ones and would thus rightly demand more concentration. Elruda briefly wondered if it was possible to perhaps increase the number of mental and spiritual links with her clone...if she could accomplish that, would this make her task just a little bit easier? Puppet masters, after all, could attach chakra strings from all ten of their fingers to control their puppet. So far, she had maintained control over her clone based just on a single chakra link...

For the next few minutes, Elruda spent busy attempting to synthesize more connections to the clone, in the hopes of making controlling a bit easier for herself. Now, extending chakra itself was not a problem, thanks to the Hyuuga clan's ability to extend chakra from any point on their bodies. Rather, figuring out the most effective points to utilize was the problem. Up to this point, Elruda had only been using a single "connection" to her right hand's second and middle fingers. Should she connect only at the fingers? Sure, it was the most agile part, and thus being able to better manipulate the clone...

Her current method of controlling her clone, all in all, was simply an extended form of her Juuken Kempo. Rather, instead of a chakra needle, an invisible thread of chakra connected her with her clone. For her left hand, Elruda added another chakra thread from the clone's reserves to her own...and attempted to use her left to move the clone while her right to manipulate the doppelganger into forming handseals. At this point, that could be considered a more advanced trail...as she was testing out the best ways to control and utilize the clone effectively at the same time. Elruda was Hyuuga alright - liking to waste no available resources.

Surprisingly, Elruda had gotten the contemporary manipulation down pretty quickly - meaning five more successful trails before she will work on manipulating the clone to talk and finishing by repeating the whole Mizu Bunshin process. As of now, in addition to being able to create the clones pretty quickly, Elruda was able to fairly control the doppelganger's movements. Though for her, she still was not pleased with the rate of progress - she wanted to make Wrath-sensei proud and not wait so long for her to finish. Why, why can't she learn this technique as well as Sakeme? Was it simply because her clan had a more natural affinity for the Taijutsu field instead...?

Elruda continue with her pattern of getting used to having the clone perform handseals. She was able to pass the Dragon and Snake seal before during the double manipulation...now was the Horse and Ram seal - which unfortuantely, were also the very two seals she had the most trouble with when learning her handseals. Could she possibly repeat the double manipulation like earlier and just as effectively? Elruda stopped for a moment and took a deep breath, trying to clear her mind of all distractions. She needed every ounce of concentration for this.
