"Let me see." Nieth pursed her lips. "That was... three generations ago. This is a picture of Lord Jett's great-grandparents."

((Isn't that a bit wrong?
Jett--> Jett's father--> Rath--> Lykouleon
That would be just great grandparents, not great great. Or did I remember wrong how far away Lykouleon was?))
"That sounds so long ago," Micoi said as she tilted her head, to her it seemed like a long time ago, seeing how old dragons could be. Casting a glance out the window, as if she could count the time simply after how bright it was or how the light fell, her eyes widened a bit. "Isn't there a lot to do until tonight?"

At some point, Midare had gotten distracted by something after she'd more or less been left behind in the whole asking-out thing. Either way, she was late to the meeting and only knew about it because someone noticed Hayate and asked if she was going. She hadn't heard Aurumn say anything about it while she was there for some reason. Then it took another ten minutes for her to actually find the place. And she sort of tried to ... sneak in ...

Right behind Midare came Teioz, signalling that the meeting could begin since they had all the people gathered.

((XD There! We can begin!!))

Celia waved a little bit as the wind knight walked in with Hayate. She was feeling bad for having just accidentally ditched her to get to the meeting, when Celia realized that she had never actually learned her name. She sweatdropped embarrasedly, feeling awful about it. She motioned for Midare to sit down in the empty chair next to her, with a little smile that had a hint of guilt to it.

((I just realized you never posted that Midare mentioned her name...I'm a bit slow, huh?))

((XDD I didn't realize that either ...))

Midare didn't really blame Celia for it though, and flashed a quick grin as she went to sit down. Hayate crawled off her neck and down an arm to perch half on the table and half in her lap - looking about at everyone.

"Hi.....Sorry....about ditching you and all..."Celia mumbled, embarrasedly with a weak smile. "I just realized....I never asked you your name...."She added, hoping the other knight wouldn't think she was rude.

((You're right. I counted back right, but then added on Jett, I think. *not sure how that happened* My bad. This is why I use calculators. XD *goes to fix*))

Nieth's eyes widened as well and she hastily put the necklace away once more. "You're right." Closing the closet, she instructed the quiet maid she had taken with her.

"Ana, run down to the kitchens and see that things are going smoothly, then tell them they need to double time. If anything is out of sorts, find me immediatly and let me know that I need to shout myself hoarse at them. Return to your normal duties after that."

As the maid nodded and quickly departed, Nieth turned to Micoi. "As you can tell, it's crazy right now. I'll be around if you need me, but I really need to fly." Adjusting the Dragon Queen's necklace briefly, she left in a hurry, carefully closing the door behind her.

Jett sat quietly until everyone was present, which really didn't annoy him, as he had time to quietly space out, and think fondly of his plush bed. But as soon as Midare entered, the monarch stood. "Thank you all for coming; I know some of you are tired, and more than ready for a rest," He smiled at Celia, who still came to the meeting, despite being offered time to relax. "Now, as you are all aware, our trip to Arinas was sucessful, despite the heavy losses. As first order of business, I would like to hold a memorial as soon as possible for the fighters we lost in the shipwreak. They gave their lives for the Kingdom, and we should offer our respects. A sum will also be given to their familes." He motioned for the Secretary to take note of this; it would fall as Illusia's responsibility. Then Jett paused, letting this information sink in, before moving on. "Next, I would like to welcome Midare, the Dragon Knight of Wind. While I am sorry we were not able to meet you in Arinas, I am very pleased to have you with us. However, I would like to see you after this. I have some questions for you and Hayate. Finally," Jett took a deep breath, steeling himself, "As I am sure you all are aware of, we did find the Dragon Queen. There will be a formal introduction tonight to the Palace, and one two days from now to the public. There are not any plans for a wedding yet, though I am sure it will be soon." Too soon, Jett idly thought to himself. He barely knew anything about the woman. "That is all. Are there any questions?"

Illusia nodded at his Lord at the task he was given, making sure to begin slightly on it when this was finished so that he had it started. It was an important part of it all, they had, after all, lost some brave members of their clan.

Micoi nodded at the head maid and gave a wave to her as she departed. She was left alone for the first time since arriving in Dusis and couldn't not say that she enjoyed the silence that abound inthe room. Walking up to a big window, she opened it and sat down on the sill, looking out, the view being of the courtyard below and of the city outside the castle. The breeze was nice and the weather too... Well, she guessed it wasn't so bad.

((*tries her luck on a test version of the college test that you can do (optional)* @_@;; Maaath. I hate that. Högskoleprovet, for all the Swedish in here. XD; ))

Oh, boohoo, you lost some expendable ants, and have to marry! Mentally sneering, as it would be much too revealing to do that physically, she snorted. This was what the meeting had been about? She could have gotten just as much from talking to that lizard... Baran, if he'd stayed. Ah, well...

"I'd--"

Oh, don't think so. The mental whap would have, had it been, again, physical, echoed through the room and probably sent Liozu staggering into the wall. He shivered in place instead, and turned the continuation into a cough.

"What I meant was; good that we solved this so quickly," he paused to give a deeper smile for a moment, "but are we finished? Heard about the party later, and I need to go down to town," he said with a grin that was titled an angle too far to be completely and only cheerful, if one could see it and his eyes shaded strangely. But, with all the nightmares and whatnot lately, liozu could surely be forgiven.

Jett raised an eyebrow. "Yes, we are done. Are you all right, Liozu?"

"Yes, I am. Thanks for asking," he almost wanted to laugh out loud, straight in their faces. That wouldn't be very... low-lying, though, and simply wouldn't be very expedient. And he was patient. Or could be, when the occasion warranted it.

But the need to kill Jett, to let the blood that coursed in the Dragon Emperor's veins spill on the ground, dry and never bring another to carry on that blood into life was strong. He shouldn't even exist. But he wouldn't kill Jett now... wanted to do it with his own hands. It wasn't good enough to do it with these large, clumsy man-hands. No. Not good enough at all.

Something was a little odd about Liozu, but Aiketh couldn't pin it down. He'd had a stressful week, after all, so he would be a little tired.

"My Lord, will anyone from outside of the Dragon Clan be attending the festivities?" There were one or two foreign diplomats staying in the capital or very near to it.
