Leo opened the door to the diner and took a brief look around. His new partner should be right behind him so he didn't look back to check. He really should be in class right now, but getting a weapon is a big deal, his teacher should understand. He walked over to an empty booth and sat down. There were two menus on the table but Leonardo had been in death city for over three years now, he knew what was available.

”I am tougher than I look...’
 Haruka walked in behind her new partner and looked around. It wasn’t the fanciest, though, she would have felt out of place somewhere fancy, and it was certainly better than a pub. She followed him to a table and sat, more daintily than most would expect based on how she spoke. Her legs were, of course closed due to her wearing a miniskirt, but they were also semi-folded to the side and tucked back against the seat, almost as though she had been raised in high society. “Now this is a nice place.” Once again, her accent chimed in. “Better than a pub though. Usually where most of me dates ended up.” She opened the menu in front of her and looked. There were many things she hadn’t heard of and some she could not even say, but, she saw mention of mutton, which seemed to be a promotional dish or perhaps a trial, and mashed potatoes and baked potatoes as well, that was enough for her. “So, ye said we’d talk about our partnership? What did you want to talk about. An’ sorry, I know me accent gets in the way sometimes. I’m tryin’ to say things so others can understand ‘em.”

Leo waited for his partner to sit down, he hadn't expected this but she actually seemed to fit in rather well in this place. That is, until she spoke again. Such a rough accent, but no matter, it didn't bug Leonardo. "Ya, I know how it is though. I had a hard time with my accent. But I've been here a while now so I think I have got it down for the most part." Soon after, a waitress came by and asked them what they would like to drink and if they were ready to order. "I will have a water, I am ready to order but I don't know about my friend."

Haruka smirked some. “Aye, but people have more issues with an Irish accent than most others. Apparently, we ‘butcher’ the words we say. But to each her own. And I bet you have. Invention and Improvement are siblings, and if Necessity is the mother of Invention, then it is also the mother of Improvement. You needed to change how you spoke so others could communicate well with you and I will have to do the same.” She then looked up as an admittedly cute waitress showed up and asked for their orders. “Aye, just water for me and I am ready as well. I’ll have the mutton special with a baked potato.” It felt so strange to say ‘potato’ but she knew most would not think immediately of them if she said ‘spud’. She then set the menu at the end of the table.

Leonardo just nodded at her words, most of it he didn't exactly get but hey no reason to be rude. It wasn't as if she was dressed horribly or something. No it was just a rather confusing explanation for Leo, he never was the sharpest tool in the shed, more along the average line. The waitress picked up both of their menus and moved along with her work. "So, you seemed to be rather lucky today. Getting a meister on the first day, and me being that meister." Truth be told, Leo wasn't the strongest meister out there, not even close. But then again he had never had a weapon before. Maybe this really was a turning point for himself.

Haruka looked at him as he spoke of luck and chuckled. “Maybe me luck will hold out. I’ll be needin’ it when tryin’ to find a place to stay. Ain’t got much money and I’ll be havin’ to get a part time job to continue livin’ here. Maybe I’ll find a nice place for cheap. All I expect to get is a small run-down little studio that needs some significant work done.” She then rubbed her head some. “An’ It’ll be me first time sleepin alone. Oi. Me brothers, two o’ them, an’ I have shared a bed for years. Farmhouse wasn’t very big and we couldn’t fit three beds in the room. It’ll be a bit to get used to not havin’ them sleepin on either side.” Just then, the waitress returned with the drinks. She thanked the woman and took a sip of water.

Leonardo listened to her talk about finding a place, and not having too much money. Of course his first thought was to offer for her to stay with him, most weapons and meisters do anyway. It's not like it was wrong or anything right? No, he had enough space, his parents had paid for a small apartment in the city, it had two beds but Leo had no roommate. "Well if you really need a place to stay, and ask nicely. You can stay with me until you find a place of your own. There is more than enough space. You will still get to have your new experience of sleeping alone of course. Not that I would mind... Nevermind." The last part was a bit of a tease to her but still in honesty he wouldn't mind, as a new friend that is. He didn't mean in any sexual way. Soon after the waitress came back with the waters that were set down on the table. Leo sipped his own, then set the glass down.

Haruka looked up as he offered her a place to stay. Smirking, she raised an eyebrow. And she nearly burst out laughing as she caught the almost joke. “Oi, that be a bit fast don’cha think? I mean, we literally bumped into each other twenty minutes ago an’ now yer askin me to stay wit you? And sharin a bed...I’m thinkin ye need a few dates under yer belt with me if not a ring and about a year’s time at least. I’m seventeen after all. To bad yer no girl. I ain’t got any issues sharin wit a girl. At least they can’t get me pregnant.” She then giggled. She loved joking around and most guys would blush violently when she made jokes like that. “But, I suppose as long as we have different beds and I get privacy for the bathroom and changin, I’ll be fine with stayin. Me Ma an Pa know I can knack any guy who gets too frisky wit me so, they wonldn’ mind none. Besides, it’d save me money.”

"Feel my embrace. " Zephyr Lochness The Serpent's Enchantress "Surrender and let me do all of the work" The bell above the door chimed as Zephyr and Fleur entered the diner. Her eyes lit up after seeing all of the academy students. Everyone looked happy, full of life, and delicious. Unknown to the students Zephyr was not human. Zephyr licked her lips and tried to fight the urge of devouring the diner's patrons. Even though her predatory instincts was telling her to attack, Zephyr relaxed herself. because she did not want to upset Fleur. Fleur already asked Zephyr to reframe from doing anything that would blow their cover and eating students would have been a dead giveaway. Zephyr walked towards an empty booth. She took long drags from her Kiser, blowing smoke into the air. Some of the students coughed and complained about the smoke but Zephyr did not care. "Every rose has its thorn but this serpent has fangs"

Leo actually laughed at his new weapons response. He didn't find bisexuality strange, he wasn't bi or gay himself but he was rather flamboyant and he had been around bisexuality a lot, his friends were strange ones indeed, and besides, at least the males who swung that way had a better sense of fashion. So her comment about a woman didn't really effect him too much. "Well then it's a plan I suppose. As long as you don't get into my closet or take up all the time in the bathroom. After all, looks like these take some time." He grinned. Then the waitress came back with the girls food. She set the plate of food in front of the correct person and left soon after. The boy looked at her food and then sipped his water. He had seriously forgotten to order. He waited until the woman walked by the table and he flagged her down. "Hey uh sorry I forgot to place my order. I just want the Fettuccini Alfredo please." The waitress nodded and then went about her duties.

Haruka smirked at what he said. “Hmm, I don’t think your outfits would look too good on me. We have very different body types you know. So, I think your closet is safe. As for the bathroom, you don’t get much time anyways when you live on a farm, less so when you share it with two boys. I’d only be in there for as long as needed. I can always do my hair and makeup outside the bathroom.” Just then, her food came and it was then she realized he had not ordered anything other than his drink. She immediately began on the mutton, glad to have found something familiar to eat. “Mm...it’s a little dry an’ tough fer mutton...but it tastes the same. Besides, everythin would when yer used to gettin the mutton the ol’ fashioned way.” She then began to attack her potato and loved it. Digging through her purse, she grabbed a flask and took a swig of ale to chase the mutton and potato. She set it down next to her just as the server showed up with his food. "So, I went and told ya lots bout me, how bout you eh? What's yer story?"

Leonardo looked at his food and smiled, nodding the waitress a thanks. It smelled good as usual, and looked it to boot. He started on his food as Haruka asked him about himself. He finished the bite he had and wiped his mouth with his napkin. Leo took a sip of his water and then started on his own story "Well, I grew up in Italy, relatively small country but I'm sure you have heard of it. I have a family of artists and such, but I have one passion that is different from the rest. Fashion, that is most of my life. I actually want to start up my own business here in death city, that's why I had agreed to come to this school. I have a pretty small family, one sibling and a father and mother. There isn't that much more to me." He sipped his water again as his story ended. Pretty generic, for the most part, and simply put. He thought he did a decent job of giving her the jist of it.

Haruka continued to eat as he spoke about Italy and his home. She had to admit, it wasn’t what she expected. She thought he would have gone a little more into detail at least, but, she’d respect what amount he wanted to divulge if that were the case or perhaps he simply didn’t feel any need to go into more detail. She finished her bite of mutton before speaking. “Aye, I’ve heard of it. Me brothers an’ I never really got proper education, but me Ma did her best teachin us. Me Ma came from England and she traveled ‘cross Europe. Turkey, Spain, Portugal, France, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Germany, and even Italy. Not to mention at least another dozen countries in Europe and maybe another four dozen worldwide. Me Ma used to work wit the U.N. Disaster Relief and Political Investigative forces. So, she been all over.” She then took a few more bites before continuing. “Me Da spent all his years in the Emerald Isles though. Ain’t never seen much outside his hometown. But Ma provided what she could fer education an’ taught us what she could in the time she could. Sadly, ain’t much downtime on a farm. But, I’d like to see anyone who done better.”
