Luli said nothing back as she led her down the steps into the main cafeteria area. She ran to her brother who she noticed did a very good job serving today. All the customers were happy and satisfied, and were on their way to their classes. She also noticed it was their first break. Luli hugged him tightly, something she only did for her brother and Musica. "I'm so proud of you, see? You can handle things on your own."
Bo was very surprised to see his sister and hugged her back with equal force. He was very proud of himself as well. His face turned bright red when he saw Ari though. "Thanks sissy, so did you give her the message? Shouldn't she be off to class?" He was too shy to ask all these questions himself, despite the fact he thought he sounded very rude.
"Actually, your going to take Mrs. Brandt here down to see Musica. And since I noticed it's both our breaks I'll go ahead and close up the stand for a little bit and go with you. I'll come back when break's over and you can stay at the shop with everyone else till Ari wants to come back. M'kay?" Luli smiled sweetly at her brother, knowing he couldn't ever deny her smile.
Bo on the other hand though it was a splendid idea. He reached out for Luli's hand went over to grab Ari's as well in his excitement. Soon he was leading them out the door to his Cobalt. Not even giving Luli enough time to put up a sign or anything.

”I am not Mrs. Brandt! Got it memorized?” Ari said, outraged. Luli was beginning to get on her nerves… and that wasn’t very easy to do. She grumbled as she followed them to their car. Sighing, she wondered what Musica was going to tell her. Maybe he’d save her the trouble and just tell her who his parents were.

Lin smiled and turned back to the books on the bench seat in front of her. She hoped that her professor would sit down in the chair beside her so that he didn't have to hunch over to read her book. That wouldn't be very comfortable for him.
And as for her pendant, she enjoyed being able to give it to her professor so that he could be protected by it and visit her more frequently. She would get another one from her sisters later, and she didn't know how long she'd be here at Bai Ching. So, it'd be nice for her favorite professor to have the means to visit her frequently, if he wished.
She pointed to a painted image of the mythical Tree of Life. "Well, Professor Akakios, I've been researching the Tree of Life. I studied some of the passages in our text books that you eluded to in your notes, and then I borrowed a few books from our library to research more about it. This book I am pointing to is from the library."
Her face obtained its normal 'studious' mode that consisted of slightly furrowed eyebrows and an intensity in her eyes.
"What I am becoming confused upon, sir, is whether I should believe if this Tree of Life actually exists or not. There is so much proof to its existence, but no one has ever seen it. At least, no one that has come forward with proof. I would think that if it existed, my people would have at least found it by now, since we are so attuned to nature."

"So Ari, would you like to sit up front or in the back?" Bo was trying very hard to be kind and considerate, and he knew Luli never cared where she sat anyway. Plus she hated to drive. And as if on cue Luli walked over and got in on the right side into the back seat, figuring she'd pick the front.

”Erm…” Ari said, tilting her head to the side. She heard a door open, and determined that it was the back one. ”I guess since your sister is in the back, I get shotgun,” she said, trying to be friendly back to Bo. Ari headed to the appropriate side of the vehicle and clambered in, setting her bag by her feet. She quickly put on her seat-belt and waited patiently.

Ophiuchus said nothing, but he did admire very much Lin's expression when she was caught up n her studies. "I don't even know if it truly exists, Lin," he admitted. He wasn't sheepish, just honest. He did not know everything in this world, far from it. He just had two millennia's worth of medicine in his mind. "I think that maybe it is ethereal, and does not actually have a tangible body in this world."

Lin frowned in disappointment and increased concentration, as if she were trying to figure out a difficult arithmetic problem. She leaned forward even further toward her book, as if the answers would reveal themselves to her if she just got closer.
"Well, sir, if you have never even seen it, then surely it does not exist. You have lived a long time and experienced so much. Surely if it existed, you would have seen it by now."
She flipped a page in the book.

Aphrodite was shuffling through various forms and applications when she noticed Ari leaving the school. Her frown deepened, and she cast her mind out to the mundane girl. From her memories, Aphrodite could tell what she was going to do. Sensing no danger for her at the moment, Aphrodite quickly sent emails to Ari's teachers, excusing her for the first three periods. Hopefully that would be enough.
Sighing, and feeling tired from being nice, she began to shift through her papers once again.

He smiled, seeing that she took care of getting to the car herself. Swiftly he stepped in and gently closed the door. As he turned the key in the ignition the car purred to life, the complete opposite of Musica's truck. Fortunately the gate was open so he just drove on through it at a calm speed of 28 km/h. Luli remained silent in the back, and since Bo wasn't about to instigate conversation the car ride so far was quite silent.

(LOL. I love playing her XD I need to think of a way to weave her in more...)
The car ride was silent, and Ari was memorizing the various turns they made... just in case. It was almost awkward the way the silence stretched on, but she couldn't think of anything to say. She silently tapped her nail on her knees as she waited.

Seeing that they were about ten minutes away, Bo thought he'd ask a simple little question to break the silence. "Soooo.... have you ever been into this little town before? It's a quaint little place, very small population. The people are friendly though." He couldn't help but feel awkward about the entire thing, hoping she didn't think him silly.

((Pfff. I have an idea. Caroline can be moping over om guy who's ignoring her, and it turns out she's talking about her brother Ialo. lol.))
Ophiuchus shook his head. "No, no... well, yes, but..." He grimaced slightly. "You're right, I have been around for a long time, and I have seen many things. But there's so much more that I haven't seen."
This was one of the reasons he never came out and told people he was a demi-god, even a low-level deity. People had a tendency to assume just that made him an oracle, a miracle worker or omniscient. He was none of that. Ophiuchus was a man first and foremost. At 2,500 years, he was actually relatively 'young' as far as gods and goddesses went. Riser was many times older than he, appearing a hundred thousand years ago. Ophi didn't even dare compare himself to the likes of Ares (although he did derive a sadistic pleasure from angering the God of War).

Ari jerked at his question. ”Not since I first came to Bai Ching, and even then it was only on a taxi to the school. I haven’t had time, you know… with classes and everything…” she said lamely, but she appreciated his effort at conversation.
