Umou's eyes tear up as she hears her Okaa-san's words. Could it really be that she was about to enter this flower and willow world? Her hand reaches up to cover her open mouth. "If I may ask, do you have any recommendations for the classes I should take? If I am to become a maiko, I'd like to be as successful as possible, so that I might bring more income to the okiya!" Biting her lip, she's obviously nervous to ask the next question, but proceeds anyway. "Will I be able to wear the okiya's kimono?"

'Yes, I had asked for some tea. Thank you very much for bringing it to me.' Yokome said, giving the girl a nod. 'I haven't seen you around the okiya before, what is your name? I am Yokome and am just a mere maiko still.' Yokome said with a smile.

"Congratulations Umou!!!" Mei said as she passed into the kitchen with a radiant smile on her face. As she made tea in the kitchen, Mei thought of how she wanted to become a maiko too, and how becoming a geisha could turn her life around, and she could become someone beautiful, like Umou and the other maiko and geisha of the house.

Nodding at the Okaa-san, Umou bows very deeply. "Thank you for the honor of your advice. I will do so right away! May I have your permission to leave the okiya, so that I might sign up for classes?"

The floor squeked a few times alerting anyone with in ear shot she was there. No mater she thought it was good practice. She made her way to check to see if anything needed to be washed and smiled at the small green and lavender tea pot. She hummed ever so softly and quickly washed and rines it setting up so any water could drain out and it would dry. While she was straghtnin the kitchin she allowed her mind to wander over the weeks. She realized in her time here she had spoken very little all in the name of honor and respect. She was queit by nature and deeply respectful. She wonderd idly as she wiped down a counter if that would make her unsutable in the eyes of the Okaa-san. No matter she though pushing aside the fear. she had made a vow to help te geisha in anyway. What did it matte if she was enver to be one of them. She would helpthem and if nothing eles to her that would be enough. She quietly moved thru the okiya looking for any small meanial task that needed to be done.

after reading the short but complicated invitation amaiya grabbed a copy of the invite and put it in her thin purple silk kimono. Amaiya stepped in to the kitchen and saw that the dishes were piled high. she immediatly began to wash them. After that she walked over to the table to see that there was a little bit of leftover sake. daring to taste it, amiya poured out a drop into an empty cup."BLECH"" cryed Amaiya for it was very very bitter.she cleaned up the sake and grabbed a small crumpet to eat.she went back to her room and slept........An hour later Amaiya got up and to her suprise she had dreamed of the great Mameha of all Japan. Even though she was just a maid as a child she was taught the art of a geisha and knew that one day it would help her do better in her studies when Maiko and help her find a danna. She took out her sapphire blue fans, took them out to the patio in the yard and began her practice routine that her aunt taught her. Dancing had always taken her mind off all things dancing brought her in the moment no past or present or future just in the now. Soon all her surroundings had disappeared and it was only Amiaya and her fans. Twirl after twirl, and spin after spin it was graceful beyond compare. she was talented in dance and she wanted to do better. every time she would throw her fan it was like a cloud fallin or a star and she always caught it. step after step with out any stumbles and that was a perfected dance. everynow and then she would trip but she would get back up this time was different it was like her blue water like eyes had spilled into a great slow flowing river when it was calm. like the first sight at a peacocks feather.however you explain it it comes down to graceful.

stopping in her tracks to the sound of a young girls voice, she folded her fans and said "my name is Amiaya, Amaiya Hotarru. Pleasure to meet you, Mei. All this dancing has made me quite thirsty. Would you like to join me inside for a little bit of hot jasmine tea and crumpets?"
Amaiya waited for the young girls reply.

((oh i know im just draggin it out some more b/c i raher like the internal struggal of her wanting to be a geisha someday yet feeling as if she needs to stay a maid to repay them for being so kind so for right now im going to wait but thankies for reminding me i should soon ))

Kaori caught the girl moemtns before she left and bowed ot her " Congratulations on your good fourtune call on me when ever you have need of me I have vowed to help and geisha and maiko in anyway i can"
