"Is that the place?" Rook asked Fi, gesturing towards a cantina across the street from their parked speeder.

"It should be," she answered, climbing outside of the vehicle.

"Leave the rifles, we want to be discreet as possible."

"You do realize we're both in full beskar'gam, right?"

"I am glad to hear it," Marr replied, "and I am sure you will not be disappointed.
We will be exiting hyperspace soon, return to your quarters and strap in."

Jakar nodded and left the room. He proceeded down the winding corridors to what was designated as his quarters and buckled himself in and prepared for the ship to shake as it disengaged hyperdrive.

"That's our target," Fi said, speaking into the comms in her helmet so that only Kira could hear her. She then pointed discreetly at a booth on the other side of the cantina. They had been at the place for an hour, ordering drinks and engaging in small talk with the locals at the bar near them. They had managed to cause a few turned heads when they first entered, but most of the patrons only gave them a passing interest.

"Which one?" Rook asked.

"The Duros. His name is Captain Dejkaz Serat. According to the data we got from Lyran Intelligence, he's a highly talented officer in the Tett Expeditionary Force. Supposedly he's an expert in ship-to-ship combat strategies."

"We'll wait for him to leave, then attach a tracking device to whatever transport brought him here," Rook said, taking a sip from the straw inserted into her helmet.

Several moments later a large crash and an angry shout rang out from behind them. A Rodian had shoved a human spacer over one of the tables, knocking it over and causing him to land on a group of Aqualish.

Soon, hold-out blasters and other small weapons appeared in hands across the cantina...

The Lyran Fleet exited hyperspace, and soon came into view of the system's capital, the blue and green sphere known as Lyra III. The planet was orbited by several large, floating cities and industrial facilities; while the surface was covered with high mountain ranges and vast plains, deep oceans and thick forests. Most of the population on the surface was concentrated in several large cities, leaving the wilderness areas relatively untouched. Two moons also orbited the planet, each covered with manufacturing centers.

"Ten years ago the planet was over-populated and heavily polluted," Derrial, the servant who had spoken to Jakar before, told him, as they looked through the large window that had been one of the walls in Jakar's quarters just moments before.

"When Lord Marr came to us, he devoted a large amount of resources to move the majority of our population to the sky-cities and the moons, even starting a colony on Lyra V. Since then, nearly ten percent of our population has been devoted to repairing the damage we inflicted upon our own world. We are lucky to be over the Western Hemisphere, now, since much of the work has already been done here. The East, however, is still under reconstruction, and it will be some time before we are finished there."

"If I remember correctly, it took the Republic far longer to restore Telos," Jakar stated. "In their defense, however, there was the fuel shortage at the time. Even so, that really only applied to Citadel Station, and a fuel source was found not much longer later by the infamous 'Jedi Exile'. Too bad the Jedi of those days were wiped out. Maybe then the current order wouldn't be so corrupt. But, of course, all good things end eventually." Jakar paused. "But that brings me to a question: how did Marr acquire the resources to do this? And, how did he rally the people of this world to do it help?"

The remains of a Sith Supply station on the Rimma Trade Route burned like a small orange sun, its ten defending warships shredded like newspaper with the remains slowly taking up orbit around the collapsing station in concentric rings of scrap.

One corvette survived, however. Badly damaged, the Lyran Corvette's crew watched with nervous eyes at their damaged sensors, scanning for the force that hit them. It had happened so swiftly, like the finishing blow of a Djem So strike, quick and with no time to react, to shore up defenses. The crew was still in shock.

They waited what seemed an eternity, and then the current commander (The captain had perished in the attack) gave the order to power up and prepare the navicomputer.

The second they did, a storm of energy pounded the ship, the force of the blows spinning the ship about. Powering up had been a mistake. The enemy wasnt gone. It was just prowling for survivors.

In the spin they caught sight of their tormentor: a massive, heavily armed ship, her sides marked with a smattering of Sith Symbols all dwarfed by the frightening symbol of intergalactic piracy, the Blazing Claw.
This final vision of their attacker, only one of the massive warfleet that had utterly demolished the station and its defenders, was the last sight the corvette crew saw before they became engulfed in Turbolaser Fire...

Aurora glanced around the inside of her cockpit, wondering witch of the numerous some details that could prove potently detrimental if that part failed under the high degree of stress put upon the airframe during combat.

“Evolution in inevitable in all things Master, everything changes, even machines.” She winced as she realized that she had addressed him, as a padawan should have, and not a junior pilot and wing-mate and decided to change the topic. She placed her hands on the controls and ran her eyes over the instrument panel one more time.

“All green so far Leader; let’s see what this hunk o’ junk can do shall we?” She asked over the com.

"If I remember correctly, Telos was rendered completely uninhabitable. The damage that we did to our planet was extensive, but not nearly that extreme," Derrial corrected him. "It took some time for Marr to convince many of the people to help. Some even resisted him in open rebellion, including Lady Celeste, the woman you saw in his quarters earlier. Over time, however, it became clear to us that his intentions were pure."

The man then paused, looking out the window for some time before continuing on. The ship was passing through the atmosphere, through white clouds and blue skies. He even sighed as they flew lower, the scenic landscape unveiled before them.

"Many of the resources for the reconstruction came from us. We have always been a prosperous system, though those resources were nearly always tied up in a seemingly never-ending civil war. Marr ended that war, and used his own personal fortune to jumpstart the economy. He instilled order on our war-torn world, and has shown us a better way. Now we will share that dream with the rest of the galaxy."

Blaster shots rang out across the cantina as Rook and Fi dived over the bar, pulling out blasters of their own in unison.

"Did you see which way Serat went?" Rook asked, popping her head over the countertop and pulling it back down as a blaster shot whizzed by just above her.

"Forget him," Fi answered. "We've got bigger problems."

"If you know something I don't, sister, now would be the time to tell."

"Did you notice the insignia on those mercs at the bar, and those cloaked men near our mark?" she asked, moving along the bar towards the rear door.

"Osik."

"Probably best to get out of here while we still can."

"You go, I've got a job to finish." Rook said, glancing up over the bar and blasting one of the Aqualish who was charging towards them.

"A former Jedi? With wealth?" Jakar queried as he recalled leaving the Jedi Temple with almost nothing aside from the clothes on his back, a weeks worth of rations, a few hundred credits he had received from selling a few items he made, and "...my lightsaber." Jakar turned to the man. "Where did your master put my lightsaber?"

Kira should have left with her. She was outnumbered and outmanuevered, and wasn't completely sure of the motives of her target. But she had accepted this job, and she had made it a point to finish any such task she had taken on. It was one of her rules.

Rook pulled a pistol from beneath the armor plates on each of her thighs and stood from behind the bar, firing at the remaining combatants who weren't already bleeding out all over the cantina floor. One of the mercs with the three triangles on his shoulder rose to return fire, but she quickly dropped him with a well-placed shot to the forehead. She then tossed a grenade into the booth near the door and watched with grim satisfaction as the mercs there dived in an attempt to dodge the explosion.

Not wasting any time, Kira vaulted over the bar and kicked one of the tables into the last Aqualish left standing. She then scanned the room quickly, looking for her target. He was nowhere to be seen.

"I believe he gave it to Lady Celeste, so that she could perform some repairs or something on it. As for our Lord's previous wealth, that's a bit of a mystery. I'd imagine a Jedi Master of his stature and age would have had some extensive connections in the galaxy, so I don't find it too surprising."

The Avatar soon passed slowly over a large mountain range, the snow-tipped peaks just a few hundred meters below. Then, the mountains split, revealing a large city nestled between the two arms of the range.

The waitress approached with two pints of Ne’tra gal. His left arm reached towards the light and dropped a few credits on the table. The woman could nearly catch a glimpse of his face. In exchange, he slid a pint towards him. She stood there for a few seconds before collecting the credits. "Well?" Deakin asked rhetorically. "Hit the bricks." The woman seemed unsurprised. As she walked away, Deakin took a sip of the Gal and set it back down, blaster on his lap.
