A blink at him...well that was unusual for him now wasn't it? Again that suprised look flashed across her face...wasn't she supposed to be the one surprising him? But it was nice to see the change in behavior. "I like a challenge, I like to show people that no matter how bad off it seems, or how much it seems like it's too much to handle...it can be done." Giving a smile to that and a nod. Yes, that what she liked, a challenge. "Your father is a wise dragon, and he's seen enough to trust his word. Only take commitment to something to get it done." But then another giggle. "Xeke is a pessimist to a flaw. Personally I think he thinks the worse on purpose so that you can at least think best of things, or better if not that. Old nightlight can't be that stuffy." Giving a sigh. "You'd still make time for an adventure or two to the ice caverns, wouldn't you?"
"That's Captain Neerem to you, missy." This woman was really getting her back up and she wasn't enjoying it all. Not to mention she was blatantly flaunting just to piss her off further. And merely rolling her eyes as Thobias did indulge her in her play. Great just what she needed, her men following the first mate's example. A growl and she went back to more or less stalking her ship, giving a swift literal kick to anyone caught still idling.
"Well that's because you still lack PR. No worries daddy, I know how you feel. Mama says I lack PR as well. Suppose I get that from you." Giving him a cheeky little grin before a shake of her head. "Though I guess the whole necromancer things doesn't help. You know...the body part toting, death bringing, lunatic thing that people tend to think." Rolling her eyes.
"Yes I did. It will keep her busy for a while at least if she starts to get suspicious. You know how one track minded she gets." But a shakd of his head. "No, this time I put them in the back of the top cabinet in the upstairs bathroom. They've never been there before. She'll be distracted well enough." A shrug, childish yes but still. But a look over to Malik in regard to the necklace his daughter was wearing. "I figured I'd let you mask it...for practice and such."

Surprise look stimulated by him again. Very interesting day this was turning out to be. And this flying backwards feeling was... fun too. Similar to those experiences on ice. "Is that why you insist on being around me? Because people say I'm hopeless and you like the challenge?" Now that he thought about it, she was pretty spot on about herself. Being an inventor of sorts, she probably saw challenges everywhere and looked to solve them. Nodding, he glanced over his shoulder and feeling the current shift, moved back up to fly normally again. "Old nightlight." A soft chuckle. "Don't let him hear you say that." And then looking at her curiously. "I would. There are still many parts we haven't explored yet, who knows how far the caverns stretch?"

"Nope, I just like being around you is all. We understand each other. Or at least I think so." Giving him a smile, her eyes following him as he maneruvered about. At least they were in open air, no need to worry abotu running into anything...unless a downdraft shoved them into the sand. She had apparently a flare for that happening to her. Nature was against her sometimes. "He's just retort back with something that would make little fun because he wouldn't know how to do it exactly. I like flustering him, it's fun." But a smile to him again, rather soft look about it all that spoke of the pleasure she found in his little statement. "True...but that could take several days. The deeper you go, the longer it takes each time. Or maybe not if we found another entrance in. But nice to know you'd still make time for such frivilous things." At least she was sure his serious side protested such journeys.

"Everyone fears someone who can bend the line of life and death. it's natural, especially among humans. and my PR is getting better. I just need to stop sending a droag when a letter will do the trick I think."
then a glance to sevilin.
"Well it does. she lit up like a bonfire."
Desdemona looked at her 'cabin' and gave a slight frown. wasn't very furnished. and a hammock..pfft. you know what..maybe she should try to just be mean.
"What if, dear, sweet Thobias...I wanted a wonderful, strapping first mate to spend some time with, hmm?"
giving him that smoldering seductive look. let that light a fire under that little temptress' boots.

Desdemona couldn't think she'd get Gem's cabin, that would just be silly. And the crew all slept together in hammocks on the other side of the ship. He had made sure to put her as far from prying eyes as possible. He turned to her and traced a finger down her cheek. "I'm sure you would figure something out. You're pretty good at improvising and making things work for you. I caution you though, do not upset Gem too much. Her generosity only stretches so far. Now, like I said, if there's anything you need, let me know." Giving her a nod. "I'll be abovedeck all day."
Thus turning and heading back up, catching Gem and pulling her close to the curve of his body. "She's in the cargo hold with a hammock. If you aim, keep your bullets low and if you don't let her bother you, she will let up."
"Mmm, new place. When she finally finds them, her suspicions will be spiking. Be careful. Last time she got really upset she accidentally stabbed you with a knife." Giving a proud grin, she fingered the necklace and turned to her father. "I already did. Though I did remove the rune that would let you know when I was...with someone. Come on Daddy, give me my privacy. You did with Lyssie and Faate and they turned out just fine."

"Hmm... I think so too." And that was all he said on the matter. After all, man of little words. What could you do? Though sometimes, he did have his moments. "He picks up on too many human terms and phrases. I think he enjoys talking to you though, because you actually understand him. But who knows what he's doing on purpose or not? He was always like this, even before he was mine." He couldn't tell the difference between her types of smiles but always took it as a good thing and nodded in return. "Yes, that entrance is quite dangerous. Every time we go, it's a risk. You can't get hurt again." Glancing down at the two ships for a moment as they continued plowing forwards. "Need to rest your wings yet?"

"That's understandable, but it's still rather stupid. Everyone turned into sheep before wolves." Though if she would say so herself, it was even more annoying when those sheep turned into frolicking lambs around the wolf once they found it couldn't see them. Idly she played with one of the chains around her forearm, changing her stance slightly to accomodate for ship movement. Could hear things sliding around. "Well...I'm sure my methods of scorpions under pillows isn't any better..."
Slight noise as she was caught off guard and she leaned slightly back in his hold to watch him, though with a highly annoyed look on her face and poison in those green eyes. "It's mycrew she's bothering. Last thing I need is something happening to my ship. We're in dangerous sands right now and I need the attention of everyone at its peak on the Gale Claw, not her womanly features." Snickering at that and turing hard eyes back to the crew to make sure they were still doing what they were supposed to be.
"Even though I annoy and contradict him? Hm, sounds like someone ese I know." Giving a light chuckle to that one, tilting her head lightly so the wind took care of the hair that tried to blow across her eyes. But then a little smirk to him though that behind it was a rather soft smile. It seemed he always focused on some things like that...he seemed to appal the idea of her being hurt. Which was nice, but probably a dream you had to stretch too far to get. Still...the thought was nice. "You always do your best to make sure I don't become so. I'm usually always safe with you." Casting a look to the ships and then back to him...hm, thye were lagging a little behind them. In these forms it was probably only natural, if they were in their natural forms, they'd already be where they needed most likely. "I could go for a rest if you need to as well, after all, we don't want to fall too far behind and we need to watch the sun, don't want to fly in the dark."
A smirk to Malik. "Sometimes those bonfires are good. Otherwise you'd think your second son was dead half the way what with how quiet and tucked away he can be." He gave one of those 'let's not talk about it' laughs to his daughter. He remembered that day well...stabbed him right in the hand. Though admittedly he knew better than to get in her way like that when she was tryign to find those things...well, she shouldn't of been chasing him with a knife for it anyway, even if it was all in play. "Yeah...I'll remember that." Crossing hsi arms and shaking his head at her. "I have the right to know when you're doing such things, have to know when to come beat someone with my polearm and the like. But fair enough..." Reaching out and rufflign her hair. "Just be good, please?"

He glanced down at her, noting the various expressions flitting in her eyes. He knew she was upset but he'd played his part just like he should. "I told her to behave. She's jealous as sin of you. Take it as a compliment and if that doesn't work, then we'll just lock her in the cargo hold where she can't cause any trouble." Running his fingers lightly through the slight curls in her hair. "When we get out of danger, will you let me brush your hair?"
"Dhairiss is such a sweetheart though. I can always find him when I need him." She was actually pretty good friends with the youngest D'vinn boy. They had a lot in common and he had taught her how to mimic most of the animals. He'd also taken her up to the surface more times than she could count and told her amazing stories about Andal. She could sit and talk to Dhairiss for hours on end. Giving her father a smile and a light hug, she nodded. "I'm always good. No need to beat any current males with your polearm. The only male who's taken any interest in me is a human."

A secretive smile to himself as he understood her little sarcasm. "It's important to feel safe. It keeps your confidence up and allows you to accomplish all those great things. Like inventing." No matter what Koto said, he always stood by the fact that she had a knack for it and that someday a shop in Ilindal should go by her name. "It's agreed then. Let's get you some dinner as well." Pulling in his wings, he dropped from the higher warmer air currents downwards until he landed on the deck of the Gale Claw and adjusted his clothing a bit. Then turning to her as she landed beside him and nodding. "Thanks for the flight. It was refreshing."

"Jealous or not, I'm not in with a competition with her of any sorts. This is my ship and I will be respected on it or she can take her a** and get off of it. I don't need my men thinking that they need not heed the word of a woman captain." Oh yes she was very much being spitfire right now. Though she did blink blankly for a moment at his question that caught her off guard. "You want to brush my hair...does it look that bad again?" The problem of having long somewhat curly hair and leaving it down all the time when you were on a ship. Always got tangled and well, she didn't really care about it too much since there was no need to fix it unless she was pulling it back.
"Because you are relentless in searching." And she seemed to be able to pick out where that boy was. Probably because they were so wilderness inclined. But he rolled his eyes. "Always good...yeah that's a lie if I ever heard one. You like to cause trouble, even if it's just a little bit of it." And a raised eyebrow at the information. "Well...no need to end that life too soon...I can feel better when time gets him." Smirking.
"Inventing things requires more of the sort of courage to not be afraid of things blowing up in your face or cutting your hands all up." Giving a laugh...she had cut her hands up more times than she could count. But a nod when he suggested food as well...he was always looking out for her. She never knew how she felt about it, it was appreciated...but sometimes it would feel better to be needed around than to be around because he wanted to make sure she was alright and out of trouble. But folding her wings, she let herself drop in practiced ease and letting themback out to softly land on the deck before folding them back. Hm, seemed Kaz was still not wanting to grace the decks of the CHimera. Good thing they had leave to hop between ships as they liked. "You're welcome Kaz, you know you can come get me anytime you need a pick up." Looking around a moment at the slightly flustered crew. "Doesn't look like they're eating yet...we can go see what is in the works, or I can make us something."

Malik gave a small smirk.
"Let me guess. same male that tried it with my daughter."
a glance at Sevilin.
"this ship's captain apparently like to enjoy any and all women he thinks he can get."
Desdemona made herself quite comfortable. hammock spread out and setup, digging through the cargo for pretty things to try on...like shiny jewelry. other than that, she just flopped down on the hammock, using her finger to trace patterns on the wood deck.

"Not over me you're not. I already made my choice a long time ago." He gave her a wink and nodded. "I agree totally and," Raising his voice so her crew could hear him loud and clear, "Those who choose to mess with our guest while they are to be working, will find themselves swinging in a storm." Then back to her and he tugged lightly on a snarl. "Not as bad as last time but that's the goal in brushing it often, Jewel. Besides, I like brushing your hair. Just say yes and make me a happy first mate." Lifting the hair off the nape of her neck and brushing his lips across the skin before dropping it and snapping his fingers at the crew. "You there, back to work! This ship doesn't run itself you know!"
"Well..maybe a little. But every girl is entitled to starting a tiny bit of trouble sometimes. I don't cause nearly as much as some people." Not looking at Savvy but everyone knew she was talking about her. "Others take care of that for me. It's appreciated though. At times." She stopped the rolling pearl with her boot and then picked up both the ferret and the pearl before Sundance decided they'd make a good snack. "Actually, mine was the guard who wanted to protect me and then take it one step further. The captain doesn't like dark chocolate."

"Aw, making the crew fear, how nice. I love it when you yell at them...I don't have to strain my voice." A blink and a smirk at him as he went about being his usual self, sweet talk and sensual actions inluded. She had one heck of a first mate, that was sure. But she knew it was the way he was. "Are you getting fresh with me? I don't think so dear Mister Robins, I'm still feeling spiteful. But I will give you your yes since you're dogging the crew." Slipping away from him and striking a breif captain pose before brining out her spyglass and looking toward the Chimera. "Trim the mainsail Mister Robins, I don't want to get too far ahead of the Chimera."
"Hey, I don't cause trouble...I merely react to the instigated situation that others present to me or for me." Crossing her arms over her chest and tossing her head to clear her bangs off her face before looking over to her friend. "Which one? The Raynes boy? I'm starting to loose track of all of these Gurads. Speaking of which how do I always end up around them and everyone else who sees a little bit of scare tactic and the like distasteful...this is some severe joke of the various deities."
Giving a look to Malik he shook his head. "Humans and thier fascinations with the elven kind...it will never cease will it." A shrug, "Oh well...it's them who get the short end of the stick anyway." Giving a glance to Shyrae. "Might want to stay away from anything pirate, captains included. From my experience with them...more trouble than they're worth." Shaking his head once more before a chuckle at his daughter's other accusations though and the answer that it got. "Trouble my dear child, is a matter of perception."

He never did understand how she could laugh so freely about such accidents. Yes, they had never been quite to the point of lethal but there was always a one in a million chance. "You can't always depend on luck." But back on the Gale Claw, it did seem like the captains were in a rush to cover as much ground as possible, perhaps even running into sundown. Which heightened the possible dangers and gave him even more worries to think about, of course. "We should be allowed to get meals for ourselves." Taking the lead and walking with her below deck towards the galley before turning back at giving a surprised smile. "You would? I can't remember the last time you did cook something for me."

"Which is why one must practice as well. Being lucky isn't exactly my strength anyway, now is it?" Shrugging lightly as she let him take up the lead and followed behind him, careful not to step on his tail or trip on the steps on the way down...just something that they did not need. "Well, all I know is that Captain Deacon was rather strict about it...I don't know about here. Guess we'll find out." Stoping abrutly so as not to slam into him as he turned around, having one of those rare looks about him. A smile back to him. "I do. It was before we went to the ice caves, I made you breakfast." A little happy nosie of affirmation to that before continuing on, motioning for him to follow.
In said galley, yes Adam or more pointedly "Galley" was there, making evening meal it seemed. Though when they had come in, he didn't given them too much of a look. Just a warning to not make waste of anything adn not to use in overabundance. But other than that it seemed they had free reign to the kitchen. An amused look across her features and she looked to Kaznec. "Hey Kaz...you know how to cook? Besides little military like things and the like I mean." One of those opportunities had popped into her head.
