Medusa could be an ancient sun goddess because her hair of snakes looks like the suns rays. Patriachal society just reduced her to otherwise *insert ancient goddess worship ramblings here*

Patriachal society just reduced her to otherwise *insert ancient goddess worship ramblings here* In addition to that, Heracles's name means "glory of Hera" - this proves that people worshipped him as a deity before Zeus ever entered into the picture, that he was the champion of Hera - who wasn't called Hera then, but was THE GODDESS, and he was actually originally a woman. All absolutely proven true, and anyone who asks for proof is just a tool of the patriarchial hegemony.
