I got very lucky with my flute situation. I played a loaner flute for about.. *thinks* 8 years.. yeah, that's right. And then my friend's mother got her a new flute, all with the pretty holes and what not and so she just... well she just GAVE me her flute because She felt bad I guess. We played flute together since 3rd grade and we always had the same seat and we always practiced together. She gave it to me for my birthday. I still have it and play it frequently. It's definitely not the best flute ever, but it has so much sentimental value. I huggle it. hehe : )

That's very sweet of her! It must've been hard playing with a loaner for 8 years. o_o; How did you do it? A lot of my friends play other instruments or they gave up on flute after 5th grade, which I thought was kind of...sad. As in pathetic, since I didn't think they'd be the type to give up on an instrument that isn't all that hard to learn. But I guess band isn't for everyone!But even now when I talk about trips, they get all jealous and thwap me. xD Quote: They're great for flute choirs.

Hello, I'm a floutist too!! I'm not in highschool yetr, so I don't have section leaders and all that, but, I am in the highest grade at my school, and I think i am the best flute player too.
I am hoping to get in the honors band this year. A friend of mine got in last year, and he said he had a lot of fun doing it so......I really hope I do!!
When I get to high school, I'm gonna continue playing my flute and try to be in as many different bands as I can!! i love my flute sooo, much!!

Oooo...wow! 100 pages!!! ^_^ And more good news, kinda. There is only 7 flutes in my marching band section this season. (( Usualy there is 14 and up)) Hopefuly I get more first parts!

I hope you end up getting in, because back in my middle school we didn't have an honors band. xD So you can tell us how fun it is! Yeah, I'm going up to the high school and I'm thinking about joining the concert band at first, but in my sophomore year I'll try for Symphonic Band.

Marching band camp ROCKS!!! I just got back and we already have the first drill learned. Its awsome. I can't wait for school so we can learn the other ones. Only bad thing is... I'm totaly burnt... my face is starting to peel off... >.< Oh well, for marching band, I'd do anything.
