"N...no!! Its not that....I've....just.....never um....been asked out before...."She said, blushing a lot as she took the crutch. She leaned on the pair, and smiled at Aurumn rather shyly. "Um..Yes....I'de like to talk later....."She said, nodding, before she hobbled down the hallway towards Jett's office.

"Oh... Okay." The maid put the nightdress on a hanger then, looking about her, decided to put it in the adjourning bathroom as it was still damp and dripping occasionally.
Nieth shrugged. "I've only been recieving bits and pieces of information since all of this jumble today. Honestly, both the Dragon Queen and the Dragon Knight of Wind arriving seperately within five minutes of each other. It's unheard of."
Aiketh nodded in agreement to what Illusia had said. "The others should recieve some reward as well. Where is Teioz?"
((Hey, question? What are they going to do about those fighters who died in the storm?))

Nadil ((Have some kind of state funeral or something? XD; And we're really starting to need Neko... XD; )) "I'm sure he'll come," Illusia replied.Micoi blinked surprised then smiled brightly. "Oh! Midare has just arrived? My, she got here fast. She must have flew above the storm that raged," she said, making it clear that she knew the knight. SO why hadn't she gone with the Wind Knight in the first place?

"Yes," the female smiled. "She appeared by the temple that me and Kanak lived in some days or so before the Dragon Lord and company came along. You see, faeries can transport themselves via the Water Realm around in Arinas through big or small bodies of water." Then she sweatdropped. "Only, Midare isn't so good at it so she couldn't completely control where she popped up. But she got lucky that time. Also, we had Hayate's egg at the castle. Kanak and I, uhm... picked it up, you could say, at Lord Nadil's old castle ruin." Micoi's reason for using "Lord" together with the dreaded youkai's name was simply because Kanak had used it and she... hadn't heard his name mentioned without it. "Well," she said, laughing nervously, "to make a long story short, Hayate was reborn and some things happened and well... then we sent Midare on her way. We told her, though, that if she wanted to or felt like it she could tell you people that I was in Arinas when she arrived..." Micoi wasn't going to tell about the youkai Lady kidnapping her... not anytime soon. She smiled wide at the older woman, hoping no "elaborate" demand would follow.

Nieth nodded, eyes calculating. "I see." Micoi's smile was unsettling her, making her feel that the Queen wasn't being quite as honest as she could be. She didn't press her too hard, however, not because of her rank but because she wasn't at all sure what it was that was being hidden.
"How did you know the egg was there?"

"Oh, we didn't," Micoi confessed. "But Kanak wanted to look in there and when he found a magically locked inner sanctum he asked me to undo it. He may have been born and grew up in the magically flourisdhing world of Arinas but not even he was powerful enough to undo that seal." She smiled normally again. "I used my Dragon Eyes to undo it. My bets is that Lord Nadil put it there himself," she concluded. "See, Kanak helped me long ago, when I was young, how to gain control over my Eyes so that I could use their power as I pleased and wouldn't need to wholeheartedly wish upon them. Well, we went down there, it was kinda far underground, and just looked around. We found quite a few things, among them Hayate's egg. One thing I would like to know is where he got it from in the first place."
Alright, what had the Dragon Queen just said? She, and her youkai companion, had not only walked around in Kainaldia as if it was Dusis, tehy had also gone to the ruins of Nadil's castle, undid a seal upon a hidden chamber, inner sanctum even, and gone down there and... what? ... Practically robbed the dead youkai Lord.

Nieth briefly wished she was still doing up the Lady's corset; she had found out the hard way when she was younger that it was considered inappropriate to hit one of the royal family. She would be able to easily get away with pulling on strings and tightening whale bone about Micoi's chest cavity, however. It would all be for the sake of beauty...
"My Lady," Nieth began, voice already quickly dropping from kind, "what did you think you were doing, traveling to Kainaldia? I recognize that you are an able fighter and most likely better able to defend yourself than most of us at the castle. However, do you have any idea how much this country has been waiting for your appearance? Do you know how important you are? You're not just some stupid girl, so you must have an idea. The lives of millions depend on the continuation of the protection this clan works to give them and our survival depends upon your wellbeing. The entire resources of the Dragon Clan would be sacrificed if it meant your protection. Do you realize what the Lord Jett went through to find you? How much more we were willing to support him in? Four people died crossing the ocean to Arinas. Think about how many more would have sacrificed themselves were anything to have happened to you. You cannot be so rash."

Micoi stared at the older dragon for a long moment before lowering her head slightly, still looking the head maid in the eyes though. "I'm sorry, but... if it makes any difference, I've survived this long, growing up in the wilderness of Arinas and even meeting and battling with the current youkai Lady... and I'm still alive and well. And, uhm... completely unharmed... in every way possible. I'm completely healthy."

"I recognize that you have done a very good job of keeping yourself safe. It is commendable," Nieth started, her words still slightly rough. "But, my Lady..." She realized what Micoi had just said and stopped short, voice hardening once more. "...You fought the Yokai Lady."
Reddening, she barely managed to control the urge to scream or possibly slap Micoi in the face. If Micoi had been one of the young ladies under her, she would not have been so lucky.
"...My Lady." Nieth was speaking calmly through clenched teeth. "You must not endanger yourself. What if something unforseeable were to happen? Someone hiding behind you, for instance, or a cloud of poison? Are you aware of our history? You do know what has happened to the Dragon Escort in the past? While I am sure that you are more talented than they, they were not completely without skills. Until you can promise me that there is absolutely no chance of anything happening to you, you are not, and I believe I speak for the entire kingdom when I say this, to go placing yourself recklessly into such danger."

And I think we're just going to pretend Teioz is there until Neko comes to reclaim her character. sweatdrop XD And Micoi learns a valuable lesson; don't piss off the person doing your corset. Ouch. Neith, don't suffocate the Dragon Queen! At least, not until AFTER Jett knocks her up. twisted )) Aurumn simly watched her hobble away, a rather dreamy expression over his features.

The young dragon watched the Head Maid getting angrier and decided that on no condition would she tell the older woman about her capture.
Smiling suddenly, a soft and serene smile, Micoi looked up at Neith who was slightly taller than her. "No, I do not know your history. My parents told me some things but I was only with them for five years, I hardly remember much from that time. Kanak may know many things but he's no expert on Dusis after all, however, I do know thousands of things about Arinas, its secrets and treasures," she spoke calmly. For a second, had she actually had the aura of the previous queens?

Celia hurried into the meeting, feeling very bad for being so late. "My appologies, Lord Jett....I um.....Had an interresting experience on the way here...."She was referring more to the fainting than anything, but couldn't help think of the massive sentence-word Aurumn had used to ask her out. She still didn't have a good idea of what to say to that, one way or the other, having never been on a date and all.....but...She smiled a little to herself, as she took her seat, leaning the crutches up against the wall. The dream, or whatever it may have been, was pushed out of her mind.

Nieth was startled by the change that came over Micoi and felt some of the anger seep from her body. Well. So this young woman did have the stuff to be queen after all.
"Have you heard of the famous Lord Rath? Or his predecessor, Lord Lykouleon?" She was once again at the closet nearer to the bed, shuffling through the several small drawers inside it. "Lord Lykouleon took for his wife, the Lady Raseleane. Ah." Nieth pulled a small golden locket from one of the drawers, pulling back the tissue paper that had wrapped it for many years. "This is them."
She snapped it open and held it up for Micoi to see. The minute faded picture inside it showed the royal couple, the king standing behind the queen.
"She was taken by the Demon Lord Nadil and held captive in Kainaldia. Many of the Dragon Fighters lost their lives trying to rescue her. Finally, Lord Lykouleon went himself. He got her back, but by the time he did so, she had been cursed and stripped of her Dragon Eyes."

"Ah, I see," Micoi said as she noted that the lady in the picture didn't have golden eyes, but a clear gray color to them. They were pretty. "How long ago was that?" she asked, meaning 'how many successors had there been since the couple on the picture'.
