lunashock I'm due early July I think. I'll know when I get my first appt finally. I feel like crap all the time. I'm not a glowing pregnant woman, ever, lol! Awww Luna, I'm not glowing either! Just pimply and nauseated most of the time! I can't wait til I start feeling better!loves_funeral_song Okay, here's my update! Tuesday, my husband actually got to go into the exam room with me, because my mom took Tristan for the day. They don't like kids back there, because they're such germ magnets and it's not good for pregger ladies to get sick. Anywho! I swear, he is my good luck charm, because the assistant (my doctor had to rush to perform a c-section right when he was about to enter my room icon_razz.gif) found the heartbeat! It was much faster than Tristan's was when he was 12 weeks; 155 compared to about 147-150-ish. Paul is even more convinced I'm having a girl now, but that's not official yet. Baby was just hanging out around the bottom of my uterus, under my pantline. I tried to scare Paul (my hubby) by saying, "You know I coulda SWORE I heard a slightly lower heartbeat when that nurse was looking around." Apparently, twins runs through my family a little bit, and he doesn't think he'd know how to handle three munchkins running around our tiny apartment. I'd be thrilled, personally, but I'd be hoping for fraternal (sp?) twins, not identical. There's no way I'd ever be able to tell them apart! Also, just on another note, I think I'm already showing. O_o I mean, I had a pooch to begin with, but it looks bigger, and it's tight! Is that even possible? To show at only 12 weeks? Hmmm, maybe I'm imagining things, but I dunno. (Quote copied from her other thread, so we can start talking about it here!)
I'm only 11 weeks and I've been showing quite a bit for a few weeks! It's definitely possible! I swear I'm showing more/earlier with this one than the other two.
I went in to the ER this morning for spotting and twinging (quite a bit of spotting! and I was SO worried, my blood pressure was high enough to worry them! but it went down) and everything's fine, thank goodness. They suspect maybe a blood vessel ruptured in my placenta or something. We got to see the baby, see it moving (swimming! It has a good amount of amniotic fluid to move in compared to Amber's cramped toilet paper roll!) and saw the heartbeat, and it measured EXACTLY the same size as the due date, which is unusual!
The heart rate was 137, which sounded high, but compared to what yours were, loves, maybe not! I couldn't remember what they're supposed to be, but now that I think about it, maybe I remember some being about 144 in other pregnancies. EDIT- Oops, I checked the papers I got from the ER and the heartrate was 167. That does sound high!

For a fetal heartbeat, that's really normal, Fawn. They're usually in the 120 to 170-ish range.

Hi everyone, my name is Patricia and I'm 26wks and 5 days. I'm due the beginning of April. I'm having a little boy and this is my first child. I'm really so excited about my first. Everyone says that he will be so spoiled. His name is Jack Michael, I know weird name but I love it.

Congrats Patricia!
I don't think the name is weird at all. Rather, I find it refreshing to see a more traditional, classic name. The Sephiroths and Inuyasha names will come and go, but it'll always be a classic!
Ugh I'm in the second trimester. Starting to get a wee bit more energy and not so barfy all the time. I am on a short fuse and been avoiding parenting forums I used to frequent. The bragging just gets to me. stressed

Ooh, I didn't realize my topic was moved in here! sweatdrop Awesome! Anyways, all I can update on is that I'm getting my first ultrasound in 6 days! I really can't wait to see just who's swimming around in my belly. heart My husband and I still don't have any names picked out for either gender, but we've been looking in countless books, watching the credits roll on our movies, eavesdropping on what other parents call their kids, etc, etc.
But, I'll be back in 6 days or more--give or take--WITH ultrasound pictures! xd

Congrats Princess Setsuko! I like the name Jake Michael (or Jacob Michael, and call him Jake.) I like traditional names as well, although lots of my nieces have usual names, or made-up names, all ending in A. Cindalena (cross between Cindarella and Thumbelina), Alaya Adelina, Amyra Jacinda, Aundriana Alzada, Ceola.. I know I'm missing some!
We found out we're having another girl. Three girls total, and the others will be ages 8 and 2 when this one is born. We're done after three kids, so everyone who's asked if we're trying again for a boy, I'd probably wind up with 4 girls if I did!
I was set on a boys name, but had no idea about a girls name until a few months in, and then one morning it hit me, since my other two, Jade and Amber, are both precious stones and colors, Ruby seemed to fit for the next one (or Amethyst, but neither of us really want that.) But I'm not set on Ruby for sure. Another family tradition are A and J names, which I kept with Amber and Jade, and the three names my eldest daughter suggested all happen to be A and J too: Jasmine (although I'd probably spell it Jazmyn like a good online friend of mine), Ashley, and Jessica. I'm not really sure yet.

Okay, umm...I forgot my ultrasound pictures. sweatdrop I was in such a rush to get outta the house that I left them on the fridge! My son's been driving me NUTS for the past two weeks, so that's why I was rushing, LOL. Anyone else have that problem? Tristan is just being himself, but for some reason, his everyday antics are just pushing my buttons. X_X
Anywho...I thought I'd let everyone know that I'm having another boy! I'm both thrilled and a little scared. Two crazy boys...and a man-child for their father. whee
Next time I'll remember the ultrasound pictures!

Okay, there's my new little boy! heart Just his face. The poor nurse was having such a hard time getting a good enough picture, because he was either moving just when she clicked the button, or he had his hands in his face! It was cute laying there and watching him, though. Already, he acts so much different than Tristan. Tristan was basically showing off in the womb!

Congrats Lady Sarah and Luna! I've heard good things about midwives, but it's just the one that works with our doctor and her personality.. a lot of people don't like her personally.
I was going to have my tubes tied, but I'm having more and more second thoughts about it, mostly depending on if (god forbid) something should happen to one of the girls in the next few years; I'd want that option. I was looking at different kinds and reversal rates, and talked to my OB last week, and she said if I were even considering reversal rates, then not to do it! That there were plenty of other things that could be done until I was sure.
loves, I do know how you feel about the other ones pushing your buttons! I was so irritated just a bit ago I felt like I was going to explode! Fortunately now hubby's home and he can take one of them off my hands for a bit.

I was just wondering if any of you ladies have experienced the continous pressure placed on your pelvis by the growing baby? This is my second and it seems like that's all I can remember about the pregnancy so far. I've been experiencing the pressure since about my third month. I can't do anything for too long without becoming uncomfortable. Even shifting postion slightly is something I dread.

I had ligament issues with my second pregnancy. It was extremely uncomfortable. What was worse was if I had to stand for long periods of time. It was quite painful.

I'm SO psyched to get a tubal done, it's whether I can get it covered. xp
Free, I've had the pain in my pubic symphysis (I think I spelled it right) for the vast majority of this pregnancy! I'm only halfway along, so it really makes it hard to walk around and carry stuff. The midwife I saw mentioned I carry low. She recommended getting a maternity support belt.
I've been using it around the house since it makes me hot to go out in public with it. It does seem to help, and I'm trying some kegels too.
