Arthur hardly notcied the girl as he was raised to work and do so till the job was done. It reminded him of his earlier years before he could work with his father on the farm, doing dishes and working around the house. He was about to go outside to feed the chickens when he finally caught himself daydreaming.
He turned to see the woman, a thin girl but not unhealthily so. She was focused on scrubbing what looked like a spill from the other day. He decided not to bother her and instead finished cleaning what was left of the dishes however few they were.
"Dishes are done, anything else you'd like me to do?"
"Come and sweep the front, we're not quite open as of yet so you have a bit of time."
By the time he was finished talking Arthur was out sweeping the main room. Again, memories of home came back to him. A small tear ran down the side of his face.

Cecilia moved on to her next task, once she was done with redistributing the grime (for she never was really properly equipped to clean it very well). She brought in armfuls of wood and peat to stoke the fires with. The fires were kept day and night, though they tended to be little more than embers by the early morning. She fed the little flame with bits of moss, watching it flare up. Cecilia stacked twiggy bits on top of the little flame, urging it to grow. She eventually gave it peat, working it up to the point when it could handle a log. She kept at the slow work of feeding it until it was a roaring fire, filling the hearth nicely. By that time, Cecilia was sweaty and sooty, her hands having most of the blackened residue from leaning on the hearthstones. Her next job was to do the same with the cooking fire. She went outside to gather more wood and peat, gathering a smaller amount this time.

Deep inside a dark cave, he sat on a throne made of human skulls. The walls of his cave were just as morbid, with dead humans chained to them, and almost dead ones as well. He watched those he had already fed on draw their last breathes. He had to wait. The sun was still up. Caine hated waiting for the sun. He viewed himself a God. He was the reason for the vampire epidemic. His kind were more powerful then the wretched humans, yet they had to hide from them. They had to hide from the very thing they preyed upon.
"Where is it? Where is the answer I seek?"
A single human crawled up to him, begging for Caine to let him go, to see his family. Caine grabbed the man by the throat with his left hand, and snapped the man's neck without a thought. Soon, he would be able to go out of the cave. Then, the real fun would begin.

Caine walked out of the cave. He felt the cold breeze touch his ancient skin. He smiled demonicly. He looked down at the city of Lemvyrn. He could smell all the human life there. He grinned as he walked down to the city walls, and easily leapt over them, landing with no noise onto the roof of a house. He looked down at the life in the city. It was time for him to have some fun. He looked around, and saw a young woman walking down an alley.
"Perfect." he grinned.
He easily leapt the distance, and landed right behind the young woman with no noise. Over the centuries that he had been alive, he had perfected the craft of hunting humans. He reached around, and covered the young woman's mouth.
"Do not worry, my child. For you are about to feed a God. Your death will sustain me, so that I may continue my quest."
Caine bit into her neck, and his hand muffled the young woman's screams. He held her tightly to prevent her from running as he drank the blood from her neck. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head after several seconds, and she stopped screaming. Once he was finished, he let her go, and her now lifeless body dropped to the ground.

"For the love of saint murffy and Hamidons!" Gehrim yelled. This was the fifth screw up today, all because of the stokers not doing their job. He threw down the two pieces of what should be a scimitar and put his blacksmithing hammer away and pulled out his ornimental one, walking to the back of the shop where the Stokers pit is.
He turned the corner and looked at the two sleeping teenagers, none older than 14. Gehrim looked to the window, he then realized how late it was. Working this long was usual for his family, they were busy all the time, and stayed all night to get some work done. He walked up to a pot they had used to cook on the other side of the wall and banged his hammer against it. "Wake up you two, no napping! BY my mother handles, you two slept like you were born for one another! Sleeping babes, cuddling close!"
"What the hell Gehrim! I don't like guys!" The older one retorted, the younger one gave a resounding "GUYS!? EWW!"
Gehrim chuckled "Sure you don't now, but listen to me boys..." He then knelt down to be at the kids height while they were still getting up of the floor. "If you keep sleeping like that your gonna make people wonder what your doing back here together while stoking! Put out the bloody fires and Lets get our buttox's home before the guard come and pick us up"
He then put his hammer away, got up and smiled to the kids. "I know you two ain't flamboyant or liking guys, it just how me brothers talk when in the stokes when we were kids. Me older brother, who would be 39 right now... Man did he have a dirtier mind than a bilge rat or drunkard. He passed the mind off to all of us, cuz we all spent time in the stokes."
The kids and Gehrim began walking to each of theirs home, together. It seemed the two kids lived right by the Inn he was staying at, by chance.
"So... if your brother had a dirty mind, and he gave it to you, who gave him the dirty mind?" Asked the younger one.
Gehrim smiled and looked to the two boys. "I don't know... We always joked about him liking guys, it turned to be a real ongoing joke with my brothers and me. We all joked like that, to keep us awake, alert and happy. The closest brother to me, Marcus, he'd be 26 right now. He was a joker, and used to put butter on my hammer... it flew one day all the way right into my oldest brothers head, Davin, the 39 year old. It was then, when I was 7 that he started the jokes...we always said it was because he took too hard of a swing... then he ran off with some boy one day and we haven't heard head nor tails of him since... That was the reason there was such a squabbling for my fathers forge when he died..Davin was the successor in his will, and he wasn't around to claim it.. Thats why I left..."
"your telling me your brother was a F-"
"Don't you be using that word around me, lad!...or me hammer will be on your head! I respect me brother, he wasn't no insane person... he had a life, emotions and feelings too... and I don't care if its wrong for people to be doing that... The bloody nobles, who keep themselves locked up marry their sisters and cousins! They even do what me brother did, and never act in love about it.. it takes a braver man to walk away from his life onto the path he sees as the right choice than to hide it from all life itself!"
They were silent until Gehrim was alone, walking into the Inn. He promptly went to his room and got ready for bed and lay down. "Bloody kids are gonna tell everyone I'm a bloody man lover now...sheesh, mention one thing, they take it as the next... "

Arthur was outside lighting the lamp when Gehrim returned. He could see that the man had a rough time today, so he decided not to bother him. The day had been rather uneventful, not too crowded but now that night was coming the same old patrons and drunks were begining to file in.
"Nothing like a good day's work." he muttered to himself. He still had a good couple hours untill he could go to bed but he felt like he would survive. Not going down with the sun like he usually did being a farmer was seriously messing with his internal clock.
"Better get back in there and find something to do before I fall asleep."
He returned inside and began cooking for what was left of the dinner crowd.

Caine walked into the Inn, a large robe covering his appearance. He walked up to the clerk.
"I would like a room for a few nights."
The clerk nodded. Caine gave him the gold, and got his key. He then walked into the dining area, and sat down at one of the tables, alone. He looked around at the other guests at the Inn. Suddenly, a skinny man sat down across from him at the table.
"Do you have what I seek, Alvasci?"
The man nodded, and handed Caine a map. Caine gave him a bag of gold. They both ordered some drinks, even though it was useless for Caine to drink, he didn't want to rise any suspitions from the other guests, or those working at the Inn.

Cecilia was working at the bar at the time, though she wasn't serving the strangers. She was taking care of a few of the usuals and a few other people that she sort of recognised, giving them their respective drinks and foods. She eavesdropped in passing on their conversation, though it was an innocent thing, and she hadn't heard anything specific. Cecilia saw her fair share of people. Most visiting the inn were strangers. Of course none were quite as strange to her as the robed man and his friend. She tried her best to steer clear of them. The wary girl didn't have much trouble with avoiding them, much to her relief.

Nathaniell began is tantrum. Feet slamming on the linoleum tile strung geometrically in his room. “I am special!” he screeched in his abnormally high voice at the purple pillow that had been sent pirouetting across the room. Next the bed was viciously assaulted with his body and fists. A maid stood in ghastly horror at the scene unfolding in Nathan’s room. Her eyes were bulged and her jaw was open and quivering so bad it looked as if it were about to fall off. Quickly she dropped the sheets that were in her arms and rushed from the bedlam boisterously bounding about the room.
“Lady Harkney! La-LADY HARKNEY!!!” she called down the halls, her voice adding its own chorus to the chaos, “T…th-thine son is a-at it agai-!!” Her voice followed with her heart and palpitated. A scream enveloped over the pandemonium proudly protruding from the confines of the room. The sound of a body collapsing to the floor quickly followed after the scream
As Nathaniel continued his frenzy his ‘mother’ glided into his room. Her face was pointed and looked like a fox and her eyes looked like they had been pulled sideways. A tan caressed her face as she had not yet placed powder over it. Her bland brown braids wound their way to the nape of her neck. She was rather tall; though her exact height was unknown (she was probably too embarrassed to admit it). Frame was buxom, though it seemed to be in fashion, and her breasts overfilled their confined cracks. All in all, she was a very ugly woman, in Nathaniell’s opinion.
“Nathan!” the women called at him sternly, “You are special. You were like a giant diamond that I found in all those dirty little rocks! If you weren’t, would you think that I would have selected you to live here?” Her lower lip obtruded outward like a cliff as she ended her speech.
For a second the chaos stopped and he thought about charging the inane women, but decided against it. Instead he snarled at her and raced through the door frame, which she was almost poured into, and went straight for and out the front door (a servant opening it of course). As he rushed from the court yard and down the road to an over populated street his mother’s scream flooded the mansion and poured out after him.
When he reached a distance that he felt was far enough away he took out one of the numerous gold coins that littered the bottom of his pocket and bought himself a pair of plebeian apparel and a large bag meant for vegetables and other edibles. Slowly he oozed his way through the crowd until he reached an alleyway that wasn’t as heavily horde. Garment after garment was peeled away and gently set into the new bag. Thankfully no one had tried to mug him, which was always a big concern in the city. With his insipid clothes on and his angst released he ventured out into the day. It was time for a little exploring, and maybe he would meet someone new… to take to dinner.
((Why do I keep writing so hideously? Gir! It is so irksome. Oh well... I guess this is a gag me with a spork introduction, but it is better then nothing.))

Alvasci then whispered something in Caine's ear, which caused him to snap. Caine grabbed Alvasci by the throat, lifted him into the air with ease, and then snapped the man's neck. He tossed the body at two men running at him, and then took off his hood, showing his monsterous face. He took the robe off, showing his demonic looking armor to all in the dining area. He then unsheathed his sword.
"Who dares to face a God?"
One man stood up, and ran at Caine. Caine easily side stepped the man with his superior speed and reflexes, and then took off the man's head with his sword.

Arthur was wary of the new 'stranger'. His cloack hid him and he made it seem as if he was trying to hide something. As he worked the bar he kept an eye on the man to make sure he didn't make too much trouble.
As the barmaid who had been working with all day approached the bar again he decided to ask her, "Have you ever seen such an odd stranger here? Not to be rude or anything but, there is something not quite right about him."
Before Cecilia could even answer the man raised his drinking companion in the air and killed him by distorting his neck. He then desecreted the mans corpse by throwing it at two other men who moved to make due on this mans ill deed.
He posed a challenge, after revealing his true nature to those in the bar and seemed to enjoy killing the man that accepted, in an unfair combat no less, as he was armed and the man most obviously was not.
Not wanting to let this man ruin the nice tavernmasters reputation and pub, Arthur stepped out from behind the bar to face the man who had called himself a god.
"And what god might need use of such ungainly ways? If true to your word you would face a man in fair combat, with but his arms for a weapon and his body for a shield. That is, unless you do not believe that it is possible for you to beat the son of a farmer in fair combat." He finished with a slight smirk, he had delt with people like this, and knew of their arrogance and pride. But he also knew of their temper and maintained to keep a table between himself and the man clad in demonskins.
