(Duely noted.)
Along with the ship, Nami had also been looking at Ianthe in awe. She had never before seen an elder and hadn't realized how magnificent they were. When addressed, she stepped forward and instinctively gave a polite bow. "My name is Nami," she replied respectfully. "Forgive me for intruding on your lands. I came by these islands earlier today and decided to check out the area. When I caught the scent of other foxes, I proceeded onward to make sure that everyone was ok, for there seemed to have been a recent natural disaster of sorts."
Nami paused for a second, her blank white eyes glancing back up at the elder before continuing. "If it wouldn't be too much to ask, I would very much like to stay here. I have not a home and would be willing to help out in any way that I can. Also, I must say, the draw of the ocean all around is rather alluring to me." She quite talking for the time being, fearing that she had been too long winded.

((Of course you can go ahead and post, Arana^^.))
Ianthe had grown wary of strangers as of late, as many tried ot make their islands a hide out for rebels. It was not truly satisfying work to hunt down these rogues, and she had to make sure they weren't merely sending this girl out as a spy.
Knowing she wa sprobably just being paranoid, Ianthe relaxed slightly, but still needed more information. "Describe yourself in four words, young one," she said softly, trying to gain insight into the other's character. The tribe was not meant for those who were extremely joyful, but those who needed help to heal. It was why she had allowed Marina onto the Isles in the first place; she was not blind to the potential healing effect that the female would have, and look at Caspian He actually spoke to people now.
She smiled slightly at the thought; her Tribe had come a long way since they first started. But, it had not come without a price; Ianthe still could not find Nyx, her own mate. Where had the female ogne off to, and wth Kiy as well?
She shook the thought off, instinctively knowing the answer, and returned her attention fully to Nami. Mentally, Ianthe made note to ask the others about this newocmer, for they had run into her long before the Elder had.

"Four words?" Nami replied, cocking her head slightly at the elder. She looked up thoughtfully as she tried to figure out the best way to sum herself up. "Etou... Curious.. Playful... Etou.... Trusting? And I guess I'm still a bit naive, which could be why I'm rather trusting. Gomen ne. I could be more weary if you wish."
The still partly kit wasn't quite sure what to make of the elder's questions at the moment. While waiting for a response, her pupil-less eyes scanned the ground below her. Noticing something there, she dug under the sand a little way with one paw to unearth a small crab. It wasn't too pleased with being disturbed and made a few snaps at her before burying itself deeper into the ground. Hmm, odd little creature, she thought to herself. Easier to catch than a fish though I suppose.(Just in case someone doesn't know: Etou=Uh and Gomen=sorry. XP)

((Serrin's gotten his tattoo! Yay! 4laugh ))
Serrin walked along the shore, his paws occasionally stumbling over unseen obstacles. He had recently started to grow very rapidly, and it was taking him a long time to get use to this bigger body. Not too long ago he had washed up on these islands, a small kit retching weakly on the shore with only the knowledge of how to read, write, and swim. Even so, he had managed to tough out an existence, if a small one. His memories of the time before the islands was rather vague, since he had still been very young, but he did remember a starry female fox, who he was pretty sure was his older sister. He was snapped out of his memories by the sight of something huge looming ahead, and what seemed to be a large gathering of foxes in front of it. His heart quickened, for even with all his time on the island he had not seen another fox. Increasing his pace slightly, he made his way towards them, hoping desperately he would be welcome in their midst.
((Just to let you know, Serrin would be considered to be sort of between a kit and an adult, even though he's an adult on his cert.))

As Ianthe asked Nami about herself, Nerissa looked around the shore. She tilted her head to the side as she spotted another new fox walking toward them. She jogged his way slightly, stopping just in front of him. "Hello," she said, examining him a little. "Are you okay?" After such a storm, you could never tell.

"Yeah, I'm okay," Serrin replied. He realized she must be asking because of the recent storm. It had been particularly nasty one, but he had luckily been able to find shelter before the worst of it hit. Looking over at the others, he asked a bit hesitantly, "Would it be okay if... if I joined you and the others? Is....that okay?" Serrin didn't want to intrude, but he was also desperately lonely.

"Well you'd have to speak to our elder, Ianthe, before staying permanently, but I'm sure it would be fine for now," Nerissa said. "Nami just arrived here as well," Nerissa indicated to the other new fox. "Ianthe is the one tlaking to her."

Marina blinked, rather confused because of all the new people. "You will have to talk to Ianthe about that. She is still currently talking to our other visitor." She paused, suddenly wary about all the...wierd people, especially with her new little BCRs. "Wait here, please?" With that, she bowed her head and padded over to Ianthe, murmuring, "Another new fox. And...Caspian and I have some news. But, we can talk later," She flicked her tail behind her and walked back to Caspian, wrapping her tail around his.

Ianthe looked up as Marina spoke, spotting another stranger. Although much confused internally, her only outward motion was raising an eyebrow in cold surprise.
It was odd that these two should come here now, right after a storm. It just seemed....suspicious. And yet, she was confident her Tribe could overpower them if they tried anything, so she would concede and let them speak first.
With that in mind, she turned her attention back to the task at hand. "He may step up to our other newcomer," she told Nerissa and Marina, though her eyes were still on Nami, whose words she pored over in her brain.
Well, for one, the girl spoke with words no known on the Isles or amongst their kin on the mainland, so far as she knew. It was possibly indicative of association with foreigners, the very thing that made Ianthe most suspicious.
"I see," she said simply. "Well, Foreigner, for that is surely what you are, tell me what you think a Tribe based on the principles of Freedom, the Unknown, and Insignificance has to offer to you? Or, if you desire the simpler question, do you see yourself fitting into a Tribe full of serious foxes, save perhaps Marina, or those who have been hurt before? The others may be friendly, young one, but each has that tinge of shadow on their souls, or they would not be here. Do you?"

((-is having hysterics at Eva's sig- -rofl- ...Literally, in some people's cases....XDDDD))
Marina's tail uncurled from Caspian's, more a sign that she was nervous as well. Why were all these new foxes coming? A male and a female? Were they mates? But no, they seemed to not know each other at all. "What is that tongue you speak, Foreigner?" Marina said, eyeing both of the newcomers. It was true what Ianthe said, though in truth, Marina did have a serious side, somewhere. It was also true that these foxes, every single one, had been hurt before. She glanced around at her tribe, her family, her heart breaking for each one in turn, even if she didn't know their personal afflictions. They were her family, that was that. ...A tinge of shadow on their soul...The Elder's words caused Marina to look deep inside herself, partially scared and partially ecstatic...Did she have shadow in her? Yes, of course she did.
All this internal brooding, quiet thoughts, they all took place within the matter of five heartbeats. Something close to that mood had only happened once since she left her family's den on the mainland, and even then it was only for a second or two. It was when she and Caspian had been walking through the Forest. He, of course, had picked up on it immediately, then. Would he do so now?
((Whew...Aparantly Marina had a lot to say....o.o; ))

(Sry, habit. I'll try not to.)
Nami looked over curiously at the new fox before turning her attention back to Ianthe. The elder's words surprised her a little, for she hadn't even realized that there was anything foreign about her. Well, she supposed she was foreign to the islands. And her eyes weren't exactly normal either. "Shadow?" she replied. "As in past hurts perhaps? No, I have none. However, I don't exactly fit in anywhere either if that counts for anything." Her pupil-less eyes turned back towards the ground at this as she distractedly moved her paw through the sand. "I try to be optimistic usually, but I could be less so if it would help me to fit in. Anything to have a place that I could finally call home." Or others to call family... She chose not to say that last part out-loud, fearing that she was already too different from this tribe as it was. From the way the elder was speaking, she was worried that she might not even be allowed to stay on the islands.

Serrin was surprised about the other fox's question about him staying permanently. He stepped forward gingerly, stopping each time he thought he might be unwelcome here, which was quite few. Finally, he slowly sat down, slightly outside the main circle of foxes. He felt rather tense and uneasy, for there were many suspicious eyes on him, and the atmosphere was far from friendly. Shifting from paw to paw slightly to prepare to run if need be, Serrin wondered if he should even have come. He had been kicked out of places before, whether by nature or foxes, usually when just trying to find a place to survive on his own. This had been going on ever since he had been separated from his sister, and he couldn't help but have the feeling it would happen again. With resignation to this feeling, he stopped shifting around, glumly awaiting his fate.

{{ -pops out of nowhere- }}
Kiy meandered about on the beach, wondering where any good company might be. Walking away from the beach, it was only a few minutes before he came upon most of his tribe, as well as several new additions. He felt a tension in the air, something he was unused to on Bateau. He chose not to speak his welcome and rather sat to watch the unfolding turmoil that he sensed laden in the area.

((For the sake of the Enigm Tribe's plot that involves Bateau, I'm going to fast forward time.
I apologize for the giant delay guys, but Eva's..Modi Muse, I suppose you could say, comes in fits and spurts, and I usually get through my PRPs and then feel drained.
BUT! I will -hopefully- be back more regularly these days.
I don't know when exactly I'm skipping to, because this plot isn't mine. So. Arana can tell you in her next post what time it is, and everyone can go from there. All I can say is that Nami and Serri are both official.))
