It's hard to explain for me... I think N is cute and is good at being L but not how L did it. He is cool and all but will never be L. I think he is annoying I guess... Once L died, I stopped caring as much as I did for the series as I did before. L was my favorite character and reminded me of myself.

I find him to be anoying, he would have been cool if l han't have been killed to put near in the show.

yes i really really hate near >_< even more then i used 2 hate light and sasuke... when i re-read death note i wanted to slap him several times >_< he's not worth it to be the next L...he shouldve died or mello shouldve become the next L...

No, he's not my favourite character on the show but I don't hate him. I didn't care so much for the series after L died, though I like Mello.

i think near is a great addition to the death note series. he may be a little mean sometimes but hell, everyone is. course near can never replace L. that will never happen.

I love Near! I think he is adorable! He is smart and, if anyone, he should take the place of L. (I'm sorry!) Who else could be L? He did catch Kira so in the end his PLANS killed Kira (i know he didn't personally kill Kira). I do like Near!

i like him and all... but he's my LEAST favorite wammy. L and Mello first, Matt second, B.B. third, and Near. I like the deleted scene where Light kills Near. I like Light more than Near but less than L.
