I decided that when I logged into Guild Wars again and saw my character Melihrn Argumeiar, I wanted my female pirate's name to differ quite a bit from her original. So, it's Meilah now.
Let me know what you guys think on that guild idea.

Captain Meilah, huh? Sounds good. Ok so, I'm gonna see what I can do around the guild and edit this post later. 3nodding

Hi folks,
I'm back--sorry for the absence! We had some weird family crap going on, but it seems to be worked out now. Hod's off again, this time I think he's in California; hopefully he'll be able to check in eventually.
With any luck I won't have any more interruptions. Sorry about that!

Hey, I made some adjustments and additional rules to the Guild Rulebook. I suggest everyone reads it because it concerns a few things that have been going on recently. Such things need to be cleared up.
Also, I'd like it if all crew members could start doing some administration around the pages in various announcement threads around the Foyer and some of the subforums. Don't keep PMing me asking me "what", just use your common sense. smile

I'll poke around and see what I can do.
And Hod is back. D'oh! I can barely keep my own schedule coherent, much less the rest of the family...

The Marketplace is useless. So, I've moved threads that may still be used to the Foyer, and the Marketplace thread has been moved to The Village (formerly called 'The Tavern').
I renamed the Tavern to the Village because then we can include more in it to make it feel more like a guild community? So, with the Marketplace thread in there people can link what shops they have in the Gaia cash forums and also advertise their stuff on that thread. It seems like a better option to me.
You know, I think I just started to get a bit conceited. I suddenly thought that this guild tries to consider more of what people want than the site as whole. redface When I think of a new idea I try it, and when people make suggestions I take heed of them. How LONG have we wanted an upgrade to the guilds? About....three years?
Anyway, the old marketplace forum will be the theatre. I was inspired by my in-depth post on the "Imagery from music" thread (which will be moved there eventually when I get it set up shortly). We can then yap about and discuss fantasy/historical music, and other forms of multimedia relating to the subjects as well. It will not include individual subjects about particular films etc though.
Your thoughts...please.

Ok, both the Portal and the Theatre are open to everyone. All subforums need activity, most subforums need more threads, and the new ones definitely need more threads.
The Portal is for weird fantasy (interdimensional, strange and surreal), the Theatre is for inspirational threads about music, film, and other forms of multimedia that relate to fantasy and history. It's also a place for authors to talk about the multimedia that inspires them. Despite the inspiration thread being in the Writer's Circle, this one's a bit different as it's drawn straight from the media we all know and love. You know, what we imagine when we watch films, listen to music, watch theatre, etc etc etc...
I'm sure you know what I mean.
Get cracking people! biggrin

Could someone please sort out the RP Hall. I asked for all threads that aren't being used to be deleted some time ago now. I've completely revamped about four subforums single-handedly recently and would appreciate a hand with this one.
Cheers.

Is everything in there being deleted? Otherwise I'm not sure I can help for fear of deleting something that was going to be used in the near future. What I can and have helped with is cleaning up all the subforums just a little bit, I've moved a few topics to other more proper subforums in hopes that I can get some conversation going in them again. I've also deleted a couple topics that were not being used.

Most of it will be deleted, but the best approach may be to PM the owners of threads who are active or have been active recently.

Yeah, you can do some PMing if you like.
Thought I'd try out a new kind of style. How I wish you could buy Cain and Abel's outfits from Trinity Blood on here!

Report:
I checked all the sub-forums (I barely had time) and I even PMed the members whose RPs haven't been active in a while. I'll let you know if I receive an answer. 3nodding
Hmm, yeah, that'd be great! mrgreen
