"Everything you have told me has been useful. You are...well, a wonderful guy." She smiled as that was probably such a dumb statement, but she felt it needed to be said.
"Umm...I don't know. This is my first date. What do you do after dinner?" She was ready to follow him wherever he wanted to go. She used to follow Fate and now Fate led her to Sol...so for now she would follow Sol.

"We could have desert, or coffee," Sol smiled bowing his head. "Or we could go somewhere and just talk, maybe watch a movie?" He wasn't sure what all there was to really do around here... Usually he just stayed up all night and just read.

Karma thought about it, "Well, what do you like to do?" She really didn't care what they did. She was just happy to be near him. He was teaching her alot she had never known before. She wasn't sure what dessert or coffee...or even a movie was so the decision was better left to him anyway.

Sol chuckled, and bowed his head. "Well, usually I just tuck in and read for awhile, until I get tired and go to bed," He smiled. "But I'm not sure if you'd want to do that with me... I mean... I'm not the greatest conversationalist when I read..."

Karma smiled at the thought of them cuddling up to a book. "Could you read to me? I don't know how to do that myself." She had never had someone to read to her before. She had no parents and Fate was there, but not really there.

Sol beamed. "I would love to! Let's put these dishes in the sink and then we can go to the library and we can pick out a book!" Suddenly very excited, it had been a long time since anyone had expressed interest in books to him.
Getting up quickly, he grabbed his plate to toss in the sink.

Karma followed him and put her dishes in the sink as well, she hoped that other Elder wouldn't be mad that they left them there.
"You know a good story to read?" She hadn't heard many, so this sounded pretty exciting.

Sol smiled, "I don't know, what kind of stories do you like?" He asked, taking her arm and escorting her out of the kitchen towards the Library. He wasn't sure if Polgara had gotten out yet or not, and frankly he wasn't all that worried about it. She'd said nothing prior to then...
So he'd burn that bridge when he got there.

Karma wrinkled her face in thought. "I don't know. Something happy and fun! Do you have a favorite?" She was happy to hear anything really, no one had ever read to her before. She was experiencing lots of firsts with Sol.

Sol chuckled, "My favorite story is the one my caretake used to read to me before bed when I was young..." Entering the Library he didn't see Polgara, but the room was very large, she could have been anywhere for all he knew.
Walking a fair ways in, he reached the bookcase he was looking for and pulled the book out, it wasn't overly thick, but it had some decent heft. "It's called Eye of the World it's actually a first part of a series... So it might not really be my favorite, but I do enjoy the series..."

Karma smiled and looked at it anxiously. "Oh really? I bet it's wonderful. Will you read the whole thing to me?" She couldn't read and didn't want to get just the begining of the story. "And if I like it then could you read another one?"

"Sure, I would love that!" Sol chuckled, taking the book and offering his arm to Karma again. "Shall we head up to your room?" He asked, bowing his head a little. "This really is a book one should read while comfortable, it can get... exciting..."

Karma took his arm with a smile. "Yeah!" She walked alongside him and hoped he remembered the way. She wasn't good with remembered directions.
"Will you stay and read for a while." She was almost afraid to sleep in this room. What if something got in? What if Fate pushed her along and away from Sol and she never saw him again...like Joi and Aleara? She didn't share these thoughts, just held onto them.

"Yeah, I will stay and read until you fall asleep," Sol chuckled, reaching her door and looking at it. "Did you lock it when you left?" He asked, his hand moving towards the knob. "Or is the door open?"

"Oh, ok." That was better than nothing she suppossed. He was only next door afterall. What could really happen in a few hours? Why was she thinking in so many questions anyway. Fate woudl make it right.
"Umm...locked?" She wasn't sure. So, she pulled out her key just in case.
