Upon the appearance of the Poochyena, Scarlet grabbed the pinwheel in her pocket and decided to try it again. "Pink Sugar Pinwheel!!!" she cried as she swung the pinwheel in a wide ar in front of her. A Massive gale of wind, filled with sparkling pink powder, slammed into Poochyena and blasted it out of the clearing.
Thankfully Poochyena landed in a patch of soft underbrush so it wasn't harmed. That girl needed to learn some self control when using tat thing though.

While Scarlet caught her breath, Clea started poking at a mushroom she had found. It looked...yummy...in the baby Pokemon's opinion. As Scarlet was packing away the Pink Pinwheel, she saw Clea bouncing beside of her, holding a mushroom. "What's this?" she asked as she caught Clea and took the mushroom.
"Buff buff Igglybuff!" Clea replied as she bounced out of Scarlet's hand and onto her shoulder.
"Oh. So it's a 'yummy yummy' is it?" the girl asked with a giggle as she placed the mushroom in her bag. Next thing she knew, she was being lifted off her feet and holding onto Clea for dear life as Kiss flew towards Dewford.

Brayden and Caliga made it to the woods without incident, which was always a good thing in his eyes. Brayden looked up to the leafy canopy above them, admiring the view.
"It certainly is lovely here," he smiled. Even Caliga had to nod her agreement. The shade offered by the almost unbroken canopy of treetops offered the perfect shad on a hot day.

The two set out to explore, which didn't really prove to provide anything of use to them. However, Brayden was quite content to simply enjoy the day. Even if they didn't find something interesting.
However, the sound of voices alerted him to others who were in the woods. Interest piqued, Brayden followed the source of the muffled voices until he was within hearing range. Peering around a tree provided the view of two guys and one girl, each conversing.
The first boy was fairly tall, had white hair and piercing green eyes. He seemed more than a little miffed about something. His companion, a slightly smaller boy with deep blue hair that was almost black, was trying to calm him, as he was currently shouting to the girl. Something about telling her to bugger off.

"It's no use, I tell you. 'Cuz no matter how great the doctor that's come, none of them have been able to cure her yet."
The white haired man huffed, crossing his arms over his chest as he glowered. "And who might you be?" he griped, more of a demand than a question.
"You don't know who I am?" the girl giggled, "I'm Shalai, Lucy's younger sister."
"So you're second princess then?" the white haired boy mused, seeming to catch on.
Brayden heard a sudden voice coming from close behind him. A man suddenly shouted, "Hey, did you find 'im?"
Brayden nearly jumped from his skin, ducking behind a tree as two armed men stalked by.

The two guards wandered off to search elsewhere, as the group relaxed slightly. Brayden made rushed introductions, learning that the two boys were Ren and Kaito. Offering to let Brayden hang out with them for a while (since the guards were still running about) Brayden took them up on the offer, as he followed them to a small campsite that the two guys had built in a tiny clearing. The girl wandered off silently, seeming a bit down after overhearing the guards talk, but Brayden couldn't ask her anything before she vanished. Sighing, he followed the two to the campsite, taking a seat on a fallen log.

"I don't get it," Ren griped, flopping at the edge of the fire pit, scratching his head as he lay back on the grass.
"I was able to use the power before, am I doing something wrong?"
"Maybe it was just a fluke?" Kaito offered with a sheepish shrug. "It could always be that, too."
"Uh... what power?" Brayden asked curiously, Caliga yawning as she curled up on the far side of the log he was seated on.
"Well, I'm kinda on a mission," Ren admitted with a shrug. "Supposed to save people and all that. Nothing like a superhero or anything," he grimaced.
"Its a punishment," Kaito snickered, earning Ren's glare.
"What? Its true!" Kaito insisted.
"Yeah, but you didn't have to put it like that," Ren grumped.
"Basically he got kicked out of his hometown, and they won't let him back until he makes a bunch of people's lives better," Kaito explained to Brayden's questioning look.

The three turned, hearing a racket coming from the woods. Standing, Ren prepared himself, as did Kaito. Caliga stood by Brayden, prepared for a fight or something.
However, when the same girl from before crashed through the underbrush, all three relaxed a bit. Save Caliga, who proved to have better instincts, as a group of men crashed through the bushes behind Shalai.

"Eeeek! Heeeeeeelp, They're gonna kill meeeee!" Shalai screeched, latching onto Ren. The men skid to a halt, glaring at the group.
"Who are you!?" one demanded, "Vermin!"
"Big strong men chasing down a poor defenseless little girl?" Ren sneered, leaping to land a solid kick to one of the men, "I don't think so!"
The men scrambled to counterattack, however, Kaito tugged Ren aside, "That's enough!"
"Ruuuun!" Shalai laughed, grabbing onto Ren as well, as the group dashed into the underbrush. Brayden followed suit close behind, not really wanting to be caught either. Cali dashed alongside him, miffed that they didn't stay to fight, but willing to wait a while.

The group ran full out until it seemed like Brayden's lungs would implode. Finally, it seemed as if they lost the men, as Shalai flopped down on the side of a small river running through the woods with a laugh.
"Ah- hahahaha, Boy, that was fun!" she grinned, trying to catch her breath. Ren looked to her like she was insane.
"What is your deal?" he sighed, bending over to try to get his breath back.
"Uh... I have a question for you," Brayden raised his hand, looking to the princess.
"Sure, shoot," she grinned.
"Those men were guards from the castle, isn't that right?" he asked.
"Really?!" Ren yelped, as Kaito shook his head.
"You take a while to catch on, huh? Why did you think I called you to stop?" Kaito turned to Ren with a shrug. "Beating up castle guards doesn't look good on our report to home..."
