((DAMMIT! The sooner I get a success, the sooner I can add some conflict to Batsu.))
Batsu, who was still not getting back into the book, looked off and rolled his eyes. He was not giving a damn about training and was becoming less interested in the book. Even though he wanted to finish the book, Batsu found it harder and harder to keep reading. It just became more of a bore as opposed to a help to him. Considering that Batsu loved to read, this was too much.
As Batsu posture worsened into the seat, he flipped the page and kept reading.
"Missions"
"Once a shinobi successfully finishes the academy, they start accepting missions in a three-person cell with a jounin supervising. As stated before in a previous chapter, the new genins work on D-ranked missions. Gathering items within a village, cleaning and maintenance of landmarks, and other such thing fall within this category."

By now, Batsu was getting extremely annoyed with the book. However, he was starting to wonder about the academy students and the academy itself. The boy was hoping that he'd get the situation a bit better in person as opposed to reading from a boring book.
Batsu closed the book, stood up, pushed the chair in, grabbed the book, and headed out the door. As the boy strutted out the library, he glanced at the librarian and stuck his tongue out at the woman. Of course, the librarian didn't see it since she still had her nose in the book. Nevertheless, Batsu snickered as he walked out the door the door to the academy.

Batsu entered into the library and walked past the librarian there. His mischievous side kicked in and he kicked the desk that she was sitting at.
Harumi was reading her book and immediately jumped when the boy hit the desk. After gathering herself, she glared at the male and quickly recalled that he was making a scene before, which irritated her again.
"Do you NOT realize that you are in a library? No talking, no loud noises, just read or get out! So if you cause a ruckus in here again, I will have no choice but to ban you!" The librarian pointed at the troublemaker and then went back to reading her book.
Batsu was startled at the fact that he was chastised like that. So he slinked away with book in hand and went to put the book back from where he got it from.

Instead, Batsu quickly scurried to a table and buried his face into the book. He didn't care which page he went to, just as long as he didn't have the librarian in his sight. He started to mmouth the words he read.
"... training their strength. A ninja always try to make himself stronger in any way they can. Whether it's physically or mentally, a ninja continue to make themself better so they can become a valuable asset in missions and battles. A weak shinobi can mean the difference between a success or failure... not only to themself, but to their team and village as well."

Batsu slowly looked up from the page of the book and glanced up at the librarian, just to see what was going on.
Narumi, who had went back to reading, felt someone glaring at her. Since there was only one other person in the room, she pulled her book away and looked dead at the boy. After noticing that he was indeeed staring at her, she frowned at him and with a 'HMP'' turned her nose up at him went back to reading again.
Batsu then frowned and sank in his seat. By now, he was completely ashamed and embarrased for pushing the librarian to her last nerve, which he tended to do easily. He kinda made a habit out of it. Still, he flipped the page and went back to reading.
"Chakra is an essential part of a ninja's arsenal, especially those well-versed in ninjutsu and genjutsu. In some cases, it is needed in taijutsu, but taijutsu mainly focuses on a person's strength and speed and not much else."

For some reason Batsu could not focus on the book and it's contents. He was moreso concerned with pissing the librarian off. He wanted to go up to her and apologize, but wanted to finish the book first. He figured that he'd apologize when he left.
But for now, he thought it best to get the librarian out of his head for the time being so he could focus on comprehending the book. So he closed his eyes and pushed the librarian to the back of his mind. He then resumed reading.
"Taijutsu is hand-to-hand combat. Strength, speed, and stamina are most definitely recommend for anyone that specializes in it. Unlike taijutsu and genjutsu, taijutsu requires no hand seals, and consequently, is faster to pull off."

Batsu's little trick to ignore the librarian pulled off and he began to understand what taijutsu was and does. Not only that, his analytical brain started to pinpoint pros and cons when dealing with a taijutsu user. Granted, he would have the upper hand in long-ranged battles, if he got too close or ran out of chakra he would have to retreat or end up losing. He knew that with this type, he'd have to use caution.
Batsu then shook the idea off, for now, and continued to read.
"Any technique that uses chakra is ninjutsu. A ninjutsu effect damges the body, unlike genjutsu which harms a person's psyche. Ninjutsu requires the use of hand seal in order to operate and can be classified by the four elements, wind, water, lighning, and fire. Sometimes, two elements can be combined to create a diffent element. For example, wind and water is combined to make an ice element."

Batsu coughed and quickly looked at the librarian hoping that she wouldn't freak out, which she didn't to Batsu's delight. However, due to Batsu's panic, he lost his place and forgot everything he did read. So he decided to read the page again.. He knew it was about ninjutsu and knew that he HAD to get it, since his family dealt with ninjutsu and he wanted to follow and surpass those who paved the way.

Batsu started to think about ways to be able to defeat a ninjutsu member. He knew that elemental chakra would play a factor in a one on one battle with another ninjutsu ninja. But he also knew that going up against an element that was his weakness meant that he'd have to resort to genjutsu.
With taijutsu and ninjutsu now read, he knew genjutsu was up next. Batsu sat up in his seat, eager to read more about it.
"Genjutsu, like ninjutsu, requires handseals and chakra. Unlike ninjutsu, however, there are no elemnts in genjutsu. nGenjutsu deals with tapping into another person's psyche and distorting the five senses. Because of this, genjutsu is considered to be the most dangerous ninja technique of all.

Batsu smirked with great expectation of himself.. He figured that if he could become a strong genjutsu user, like his older siblings, he would be a true asset to Kirigakure. He might even becime a kage. The thought started to run through his head furiously. He started to lose focus in the book as his eyes just scanned the pages. He didn't even care about the book. Batsu was lost in thought.

Batsu was so close to finishing the book. He was on the last page, but he was to busy daydreaming about what he would do if he was a strong genjutsu shinobi. Hie was thinking about an imaginary fight with another genjutsu user. It made him smile thinking about a battle of the brains. He quickly started to shake the thought off and went back to reading though.

Batsu went to finish reading the book, but as he went to grabbed the book he slit his finger on the corner of the page. He went to scream, but quickly held it in when he realized who was watching and where he was. He didn't wanna get kicked out the library, especially when there is a whirlwind of knowledge right at his fingertips. So the boy just grinded his teeth and grunted softly.

Batsu shook the sting off his papercut away and went back to reading the rest of the book.
"Now that you have read the basics of being a shinobi, the knowledge will continue you on in the journey of being a ninja. Hopefully, you will grow more and more powerful in the world of ninja training."
Batsu frowned heavily as he came to the last word of the book. He thought that the book would end on a stronger note, but it did not. Batsu quickly thought to himself.
"Man, how anti-climatic."

Batsu stood up and went to a random shelf and started scanning the titles. He read each title and mouthed the words to each book.
"Hmmm.... Kirigakure history?"
The boy shook his head. He wasn't really concerned about the history of anything right now.
"Uh, ninja facts and myths?"
Batsu shook his head again and sighed. again uniterested.
"Psychology and behavorial issues..."
Batsu's eyebrow raised and he smirked. The boy's curiosity piqued. He eagerly went and grabbed the book, flipped to the first page, and started reading.
"Psychological knowledge is applied to various spheres of human activity, including issues related to everyday life—such as family, education and employment—and to the treatment of mental health problems. Psychologists attempt to understand the role of mental functions in individual and social behavior, while also exploring the underlying physiological and neurological processes"

Batsu rolled his eyes, he already knew what the hell psychology was. The boy wanted to know MORE about the science. He began to hope that the book wasn't a waste of time for him. However, he gave the book another try and kept reading.
"In biology behaviour is the observed reaction which occurs when an organism is given a stimulus. Some organisms are more complicated than others and may be more aware of their surroundings. If their behaviour is conscious it means that they know what they are doing. If they are not aware of what they are doing this is unconscious behaviour. Humans will pull their hand back without thinking if they accidentally touch something hot. This is done because organisms want to avoid pain and will pull away from the thing that is causing the pain."
