Alright, I made this offer to Poopstainia, I'll extend it to all of you.
Macemen are 5 of each resource to call up to war, Axemen are 20. Heroes are 500, they're precious and few.
....Beyond that, I'll do my best to send whatever is bought and sent. Feel free.

Wow. I'm rather impressed by my madmen.
I attacked with about 30 men, including a hero.
I kill about 20.
I lose about 25. Not the hero.
They were defending with about 80. eek
....time to build an army again. A couple of bad attacks in a row. I lost nearly 80 guys to a nearby hardcore oasis. Serves me right.

Planning on plopping down my new city here. It is about 20 squares from my main, and 16 squares away from Messiah. (My main is already only 9 squares from Messiah). Looks like good clay production, and near a clay oasis, and reasonably well situated. Also just barely outside of my 1 hr planned radius (assuming I'm moving with my fastest troups, it's about 1.25 hour going with my more defensible druidriders.)

Interesting development here, so I'll post it up just so you're all aware, in case this starts something. On the 16th, waterloosource attacked me. Yesterday, I attacked him back. This was just as a message: you mess with me, I mess with you. Though I didn't get my resources back, I think I hinted that raiding me again would not be a boon to his raiding force. He is now in an Alliance called Mid. I don't think he was actually listed as a member when I sent troops: I certainly only noticed an alliance in his tag this morning. It's possible he didn't have an Embassy until recently, but was considered a member by the rest, but that doesn't alter the fact that I did not view it as an attack on the Alliance. He attacked us (by which I mean me) when I was already listed as in the Alliance, and he was definitely officially unguilded at that point. If he wasn't expecting repercussions from raiding an active player in an Alliance, I don't know what he was expecting. Far as I know, he only officially (i.e. in-game) joined the Mid Alliance today. Just so y'know, in case of diplomacy.

Calmer Just so y'know, in case of diplomacy. If he raids you again, tell me. Getting someone else from our alliance to hit him would let him know exactly what it means to raid someone from our alliance. If he wants to keep it up, I want to shut him up. Unless, of course, you guys want to beat me over the head with the peace-stick again? evil

If you're close enough it is a time effective use of troops, and perhaps even if you're not. I could send a display of calvalry from afar as well if needed.

If he attacks again, by all means, you can wreak as much vengeance as you like.
If you look at the my response, I killed every troop that was stationed in his base at the time of attack (a lot of Axemen twisted ), and since he hasn't developed his economy much (I'd say most of his fields are around 3-4, given he's got enough levels in buildings to research Axemen), it'll probably knock him down for a short time (dependent on aid packages from his Alliance), so for the time being, it should be okay. If they decide to make something of it, we'll just have to see what happens.

Forwarding these two from Noctum, he PM'd me about it.
"i have a 600 pop guy sending troops to attack me. has something to do with william black (our alliance?) doing something to one of his alliance members. regardless, i expect to get creamed"
"sending my troops to reinforce yours until after this guy attacks me. he has 3 villages and a total pop of over 800. i dont stand a chance so ill just let them camp out with you for a couple hours so they stay alive."

Gotta love the proverbial line in the sand. Another week or two, and I may be doing something similar. Assuming I can't coerce one of my neighbors into helping me take down somebody about twice my size.

Important news about second cities:
Travian Plus boosted production only applies in any _one_ city. To get its effect on multiple cities, you must pay for each city.
All troops remember which city they were created from, and can only be staged from that city as a base of operations. This excludes Heroes. Provided a Hero's Mansion exists in the city he is visiting, he can act as though he were created in that city (if the Help and Wiki pages are to be believed).
Important news about stacking production modifiers:
Flour Mill modifiers are applied directly to the fields, and rounded. Travian Plus modifiers are applied to the gross production, and rounded. Oases modifiers are applied ?, and rounded?
That is all. Unless I forgot to mention something. If you have specific questions, ask.

Out of curiosity, is there some way to easily transfer my status from Travian to a post on Gaia? I like keeping you guys updated, but it's starting to be a hassle, especially with how quickly I keep building up my resources and military.
Also, any chance I can get an Alliance invite sent to a RL friend that joined? His newbie protection should be wearing off soon, and the more gauls the merrier, no?
