Laurel spoke from the doorway, "Mr. A, Auntie says I owe you this...look over there." 'Over there' was a mirror on the wall, showing Arch's face in perfect detail - the white hair, the cigarette hanging from his lips, blue eyes...

Arch looked over at the mirror, narrowing his eyes. "Theiah 'aihnt bluhe, kihd."

The mirror vanished. "But they could have been. Tell me, are you still giving private lessons? I still remember some of the things I learned from you."

Arch the Angel "Dahlihn, ahve gahwt sohmethihn fehr yeh." Arch smiled, producing the blood rose. "Ah fehlt bahd 'bahwt laihihn tah yeh, soh ah 'ohped brihngihn 'ohme a flawehr'd keehp meh ahwt ohf theh dahwg 'ahwse." Arch looked over at the mirror, narrowing his eyes. "Theiah 'aihnt bluhe, kihd." "It's beautiful, sug, thank you."Ruby's eyes went to the rose, a smile crossing her face as she picked it up and breathed in the scent. The flower seemed to grow a thorn right next to her thumb, and she squeaked a little as it poked her, but the blood healed up quickly, and in a few seconds so did the slice on her palm. The rose became more or less a normal rose, the book taking the information and pulling itself back together. "Please, don't lie to me again, sug. I know you mean well, but if there's somethin' you can't tell me, just tell me you can't tell me, you know I trust you." She gave him another hug. "An you won't be in the doghouse, but you will owe me either a grand meal, a full body massage, or a chick flick....one of the sad ones." She took a quick note of the mirror presented by Laurel, finding herself startled at first, but one look and she knew those weren't the eyes she had been waiting so long to see. She let out a sigh, but made a mental note to check blue off her list as Arch said they weren't.

She gave him a smile, "An' of course I know which one you'd be choosin'; you've been wantin' to see that chick movie, the one with the notebook, for years now." She grinned, wide, "but I'm gonna be spiteful an' not choose the one you want, so you'll just have to settle with givin' me a massage."
Ruby tilted her head at Laurel, "I thought he taught history."

"Sug?"Ruby looked from Laurel to Arch, her wide grey eyes blinking a few times. She couldn't rightly be angry about it, considering they hadn't been together during the time he had been teaching, or at least not exclusively....or at least not as far as she could remember. That didn't make it not hurt though. She remembered the pretty blondes and brunettes, the pinups, what those handcuffs on the posts of his bed had been for. Those were the reasons it scared her so much when she realized she loved him, and why it took her so long to straight out tell him. But all of those things were gone now, except for a pair of handcuffs in one of the drawers beneath their bed.

Or at least not directly encourage it. He naturally encourages it, can't rightly help that. "An As far as I know, he wasn't quite aware one of his students was in the bus when he cast that aura. He was focused on me at the time," Ruby paused, her eyes narrowing as she looked at him, "You were focused on me at the time of castin' that aura, weren't you? An' did you sleep with your underage highschool students?" Ruby waited for him to answer, feeling almost bad for talking over him like she did.

"Now if you'd be an angel an' apologize to Laurel about the horny aura in the bus, she'll prob'ly stop tryin' to ruffle your feathers. An' we all know that's my job." Ruby leaned in and put her hands into his wings playing with the feathers.
