Cerus was unrepentant in his questioning. Kendra didn't really know what to say, so instead of giving a full answer, she mumbled incoherently and turned to face the fox beside her, quickly licking his nose and then giggling slyly. Kendra then flipped her head to the other side fast as she could, and smiled to herself in the privacy of the direction she was facing.

Cerus looked blankly at Kendra as she mumbled under her breath. As he opened his mouth to speak, she licked his nose and turned away. If he hadn't already been on the ground, he was sure he ould have fallen over from pure shock.
He was suddenly very glad to be lying down already.
Composing himself (badly), he squirmed over to Kendra and peeked his head under hers, trying to see her face.
"That was an.... interesting way to answer that question..." He purred, his grin returning with a vengance.

Kendra straightened out her face before Cerus could get a glimpse of the smile. After she was ready, she turned back around to face Cerus and replied. "Well, that was my answer! And it's the only one you'll get!" She retorted, feeling guilty afterwards for perhaps coming across as rude. After she finished speaking, and blushing from the regret of being so snappy, she blinked her eyes several times and stared at Cerus, whose muzzle was not very far from her own, making her twitch uncomfortably in nervousness.

Cerus smirked slightly at her answer. His nose still tingled furiously where her tongue has touched him. As she turned to face his, their faces weren't so far off each other's. His smirk faded, but for no bad reasons, and his stomach backflipped. He had only met Kendra that day, but she had made a lasting impression to say the very least... He stayed still, scared to move for two reasons; in case she got offended, or in case he missed ot on a wonderful oppertunity.
"U-uh... o-ok... I was just... being nosy..." He whispered, unaware of the pun he had somewhat made.

Kendra's mind acknowledged the pun, but her face showed nothing but sheer blankness. She sat staring at Cerus with that blank expression for what seemed like eternity, while her mind worked away inside her head. Kendra was thinking deeply, her body refusing to move, as it seemed Cerus was experiencing as well, by the looks of him. Nothing seemed to be stirring except for the gears in her mind and the whizzing tension surrounding them. The stillness gave Kendra time to inspect the fox next to her. He was dark like her. The tattoo on his leg looked so livid, ready to jump at any moment, and the stars that dotted his body seemed the same. She left her eyes on the flamed tail for a bit longer, before looking back at his face. Quickly, before Kendra knew what had happened, all the tension that had been built unraveled at once as she quickly bent over and kissed his half opened lips. The relief didn't last for long, as she sat rigidly back in her previous position, waiting to see what he would do. She felt her left eye twitch a little, praying that Cerus would react how she hoped.

Cerus took a moment during their stillness to let his eyes wander, parying she wouldn't notice. Kendra was a beautiful Modifox. She had pale, lilac eyes, framed by an array of blues. The titanium in her piercings stood out well against her dark fur. The feathers in her ears softly framed her face, and acted like a frame, blocking out the rest of Cerus' vision so he could only really concentrate on her. Mid-musing, an electric shock ran through his body. She had kissed him, and not on the cheek or in a friendly manner. But a proper kiss.
He stayed stunned for what seemed like an eternity. His heart pounded in his chest and his stomach could have been winning gold in gymnatics. He tried to speak, but a silly breathy noise was all he could managed as he leant up and kissed her back.

Kendra blushed a little and turned away after the kiss was finished. She pawed nervously at the ground a bit, and flicked her eyes back and forth, making sure no one had seen. She cleared her throat, thinking how rash it had been of her to act out like that, someone could have seen! Not knowing what to say, Kendra looked up at Cerus and stared him in the eyes, examining his pupils for a bit, and then uttering something that sounded like, "We should keep moving." It wasn't that she wasn't thoroughly enjoying just sitting here with him, she just couldn't think of anything else to respond with. After all, Cerus could still object if he wanted to. She didn't have a problem with staying here, Kendra was only testing what Cerus wanted.

Cerus felt a small smile tug at the corners of his mouth. "Do we have to...?" He purred slightly and clicked his tongue. Kendra had certainly thrown him off-balance, so to speak. She didn't seem like the type to rush into things, and yet she had kissed him. Nothing to complain about, mind you... He sat up slowly and looked at her with a grin. "You're not feeling uncomfortable, are you?" He asked, raising an eyebrow as he purred softly. He hoped her answer would be no, but then again, this was all a bit sudden...

Kendra lashed her head back around to face Cerus. "We don't have to...And no! I'm not uncomfortable! Just a little...Alert!" She said, trying to be as euphemistic as possible. She was uncomfortable, though she wouldn't admit it. Was it really that obvious? She didn't want to hurt Cerus' feelings, after all! She looked at the large, dark Modifox, sitting before her and grinning. She felt bad that she had rushed into things, but certainly didn't regret it...
Kendra sat down again, hoping to prove to Cerus her comfort level hadn't dropped, though it was proving difficult to do so. Taking several deep breaths, she composed herself, and looked at Cerus out of the corners of her eyes, waving her tail back and forth at snail's pace.

Cerus smiled a little. "Maybe we should get to know each other a bit... it might make you feel a bit more relax..." He nodded slightly. "What's it like being an Elder for a tribe...? I've always been curious...."

Kendra turned to face him, loosening up a little. "I'd like that," she nodded, feeling better that she had not kissed a complete oaf.
"Oh, being an Elder? Well..." She blushed a little and continued, "It's kind of strange sometimes, people give you these weird looks. Other than that, I would say it's rewarding, you feel good watching over the others, even if my tribe is rather small at the moment..." She smirked at this thought, then decided it fit to ask Cerus a question. "What about you, what's it like being the fox of the owner?" By the owner, she had meant Sapphire Lazuli, the keeper of all the Modifox's. She hoped he would catch on.

Cerus listened intently as Kendra spoke and smiled as she questioned him back. "It's... strange.." he laughed. "I don't look at her like that, I suppose she's just like any other owner... Except Mysfit and Purple give me cheaper mods.." He winked and laughed heartilly. "And as for your tribe being small, that doesn't matter, I'm still impressed by you... You have such great responibilites and power, but yet you remain sweet and, well, down to earth..."

Anrea Rina turned to Heartbreak, to see what she thought of Ichigo's semi-apology. Would Heartbreak accept it, and tell Ichigo to come back? Or just let him keep going to wherever he was headed? The river was extremely narrow where they were, perhaps only a foot or so across, and so it was easy to make it to the other side. But Ari waited for Toki, making sure that she was not having trouble getting across. Ichigo had laid down next to a tree. He was calm and not annoyed for a bit. He was bored though. What was there to do other than hunt or eat or sleep?Toki smiled and tried to jumped over the pond. She had gotten her bottom half wet. She giggled. "Opps." The shaman noticed that Ari-kun's face had lit up from the water and fire flies."You look pretty. The water seems to like you."

Kendra laughed a little at Cerus' modifications comment, then her face went solemn. "You mean that? You think I'm sweet? Well, gosh, thanks!" Kendra said, flustered with appreciation. She beamed at Cerus and flicked her tail back and forth lividly.

Rina was not sure what had happened to Heartbreak and Silvie while she was speaking with Ichigo, but it seemed as if they had left her. She flicked her tail in annoyance. If they disliked her, they could at the very least say such to her face. To simply disappear like that...
Alone, Rina started back the way she had come, back to the clearing, to find brother, and do something with him. A short while by herself was not nearly enough yet to break the habit of a lifetime.
"I--thank you."
What Toki said was odd. The water liked him? It wasn't alive, so how could that be?
"Just a little bit further now..." he muttered to himself. He wasn't sure how long Rina would be with the two other foxes, so he should start heading back to the clearing soon.
