Like Jean before him, another beam of light began to converge around the ring finger of Nero's right hand; the spiked wheel glowed. The ring began to burn as it solidified. After a time, a platinum ring with an embedded red-black-and-white agate found itself on Nero's finger.

Nero raised his hand up as Jean had, clenching his teeth against the burning sensation as the ring formed. Upon its completion, he examined the ring closely, reaching up with his other hand and poking it. "Hmm...doesn't seem like anyth-" he stopped mid-sentence, a wave of nausea overcoming him. He staggered for a moment, then regained his composure, though his entire body seemed...more sensitive...

"I'll take on this power." Skiverdra said, "I'll use it to destroy those who dare harm my friends. I wish to show those who do serious harm to others that their lives are forfeit if the mess with me or my friends." Skiverdra thought for a moment. Power... It is a tool that can be useful to some, but corrupting to others... I would use it to punish evil... He thought to himself. He raised his right hand.

Boltlock thought within himself. Power is only good to those who master it without becomeing it's slave. He walked calmly nearer to Skiverdra and raised his hand. "I shall accept this power."

Chris watched as Boltlock and Skiverdra raised their hands towards Niobe.
I still wonder what this power is... he thought to himself. If I won't be able to control it or my emotions with it, then I really don't want it. However, somehow, I feel as if I need this power to fulfill some great task that requires it and it seems like I have no other choice.
Chris hesitated for a moment, lost in his thoughts about the 'power' he would be recieving. Finally, he looked up at Niobe with courage. "Niobe," he said. "I accept the power."

Accepting the rings, a halo of light began to form around the ring finger of Skiverdra, Boltlock, and Chris. The same burning sensation; the same solidification; the same pain.
Niobe looked at all of them. "Beast, Life and Death, Punishment and Forgiveness, Circle, and Blue Moon. These powers are yours..." She sighed and turned towards a doorway to the side which seemed to magically appear. "This will take you back to where you all came. I wish you fortune, Children of the Rings..."
As each person walked towards the door Niobe muttered a few words quietly to herself: "Absolute power... I pity you all... Suffering and grief abounds all who are foolish enough to wear the rings..."
Before anyone of them could turn back, she was gone.

Nero looks at his ring for a moment, then looks up at Niobe and grins, "Thanks! See you around, Niobe!" He waves then heads through the doorway, hand behind his head and staring up at the sky. "Nice lady...kinda weird though...what do you guys think?" he asks, turning towards the others...

Chris looked at the newly formed ring on his finger.
I hope we didn't just make a big mistake, he thought to himself. "Well, shall we move on?"

"Yeah... let's go..." Jean replied to all as he followed the others to the opening.
A flash of light blinded the students for a second; the sounds of birds could be heard. The students have returned to the forest. The ebony-cloaked man directly in front of them.
"Children... how did you return?" The man asked as he raised his sword and his ring.

Nero whirled around as he heard the man, holding his Bo at the ready. "There you are!" he cried, grinning. Ever since he had been dragged under by the stranger's odd power, he had been hoping to run into him again. This is great! Nero thought to himself, shaking with excitement, Now I'll really be able to have some fun! "We never got to finish our fight!" With that, Nero leaped forward, thrusting the Bo at the man's midsection...

Skiverdra brought his scythe out with his good hand. "Now you'll know what it means to feel true fear!" he shouted as he charged at the ebony-cloaked man.

Chris glared at the cloaked man. "You again?!" he exclamed as he drew his sword. "We shall not go down as easily as last time! Ready, everyone?"

Chris dashed at the the cloaked man with his sword in his hand. He brought his sword behind him as he ran toward the mysterious man and as soon as Chris got close enough to him, he executed a powerful horizontal slash at the cloaked man.
