"He's a moogle," Shard muttered somewhat indignantly, "A magical creature that supposedly exists only in legends. Very famous legends."
He glanced down at his fuzzy companion, and paused, then looked back at Adrian and shrugged. "Well... a velvet one, anyway."
"Arden, it looks like you might have to sit out this round, but, feel free to look around the shop."
Arden nodded, then began to flutter, hovering unsteadily into the air, then starting to circle around the room. So many animals...

*willow's attion was caught by the animal, thou she didn't move much her eyes followed the velvet one. If it happened to glance at her she'd just stay there with her eyes fixed unblinkingly. She had a nack for being still. If she had a chance she'd pounce on something that moved to play with it but they were suppose to be hiding. She was on the middle shelf of the far wall from the counter. Easily enough not to be spotted just having time to move and such before one looked back her direction. She was the most life like of those animals around her but she didn't care.*

Adrian's eyebrow quirked, "Interesting..." He watched the moogle flutter around the room before turning back to the counter. He didn't want to leave the "hidden" creature alone, since he wasn't quite sure who the owner was, but he still had three other velvets to find. And he also didn't think the creature would appreciate being picked up and taken with him, so he stood there and thought for several moments. "So," he began, speaking to the velvet on the countertop, "who are you? what are you? and did you see any velvets run past here?"

Arden looked around the shop, looking at all the people gathered, and glancing back at Shard. So many people... He glanced at the shelves along the sides of the shop. So many animals... Was this where I came from?
Arden fluttered over to a nearby shelf, and landed, near a stuffed animal that was almost his size. Carefully, he poked it. "Kupo...?"
It didn't move. He poked it again. "Kuuuuupo...?" Then he tugged on its ear. Still, no reaction.
Arden huffed slightly, then started moving down the line of animals, messing with each in turn, asking them, "Kuuupo?"
Which, roughly translated, would equate to, "You 'live?"

Well! The first reaction had been pretty good, but getting poked was NOT what Anastasia had in mind. She edged quietly out of the way until the man actually addressed her, and then responded, "I'm Anstasia. And I don't LIKE getting poked. And why should I tell YOU where the others went?"

"Of course I'm not," Moo countered, falling silent afterwards to watch the goings-on around the shop. She waved a greeting to Shard when he returned, eyes following the moogle to the shelf afterwards. "Soo...that's Arden?"
Acia was rather bored with hiding. But the game was hide-and-seek, so she couldn't come out! Oh no, not yet! So she stayed hidden. ......Yup.... Mmhmm..... Well, this wasn't at all exciting. She was just beginning to consider coming out when she heard 'Kupo.... kupo....kupo...?' further down the shelf. And growing louder. Cautiously, the glider peeked out from her plushes, only to come face to face with Arden. She quickly gestured him to stay quiet, then smiled, whispering cheerfully. "Hallo!! What're you saying?"

Adrian sighed, Everyone here is so hands-off and up-tight. 'Tch. He raised his hands, symbolizing that he meant no harm, and said, "Sorry, I was making sure my eyes weren't deceiving me. And you don't have to tell me where the others are. I was only asking. We're playing hide and seek. You could join, too, but I already had a hard enough time finding you on the counter..."

Anastasia considered this for a moment, and replied, "So... why don't I help you then. Looks like you need it. An' then we can find everyone else."
It was a silly game, but she used to play it with her guardian, and she rather imagined she would be better at it than the clumsy oaf who hadn't even seen her standing on the countertop. Even if she had been blended in, her guardian always seemed to know just where she was, anyway.
"Here," Anastasia commanded, "lemme get up on your shoulder so's I can see on the top shelves. We'll work our way down."

Adrian refrained from rolling his eyes, instead giving Anastasia a hand up so that she could sit on his shoulder. "Sounds like a plan, Stan," he said off-handedly, hoping to whatever powers that be that she wouldn't take offense to the phrase. He stepped over to one of the shelves, spotting Arden floating a few feet away.

Anastasia decided she wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea of sitting on the stranger's shoulder, so she opted to stand, instead, one hand braced against his head for stability.
"I'm good at plans," she told him. "You can leave all the thinking to me."
From across the room, Anastasia's guardian glanced over at the two with a lofted brow.

"'Kay, then," Adrian said, letting her stand there. "If I think too hard, my head starts hurting, so I'll let you be in charge. We're looking for... Acia the sugar glider, Erae the skunk, and... a tiger." He couldn't remember if anyone had introduced the tiger to him or not. So he just stood there and stared up at the top shelf. "See anything that resembles a sugar glider, a skunk, or a tiger?"

*Willow watched them her eyes the only movement for now, she made sure she didn't move when they looked toward her eyes would snap forward, mocking that of he plushes around her. It was hard for a tiger to blend in where there were no natural hidding spots so she thought it might be easier to be a plush.*

Anastasia gazed along the top row of shelves, slowly shifting from one stuffed animal to the next, when movement caught her eye. She didn't know who it was, but something had shifted near the odd floating puffball. "There," she said, pointing. "By the floating thing."

"Yup, that's Arden," Kanth murmured softly, with a nod of the head. He was starting to feel a bit sleepy himself, but shook out of it, blinking a few times. "Hey, do you want to do something energetic? Like, tag or something outside?"
Erae by now was nearly asleep, breathing in dust bunnies. He didn't seem to care, but being a skunk now was a bad thing - skunks did hibernate, after all.

( Actually, Arden's been walking along the shelf, picking his way among the velvets. He can hover for a while, but It's a lot easier to walk. ^^; And sorry for the loooong gap. I've been kinda swamped with work lately.)
Surprised by the sudden movement, Arden took a step back. Uhh... what am I saying? Arden paused, sheepishly, and scratched the back of his head. "Ku... Kupo?" He murmered, quietly.
I'm really saying the only thing I can... He smiled and shrugged. He was about to turn to pretend that he hadn't actually 'found' Acia... But the movement that he caught in the corner of his eye proved he'd probably already been found out.
