Ithildae nodded a quick goodbye, got back on her horse and rode as fast as she could back to the main square, taking care to use side alleys so that no one would follow her.

Jake approached his father. His father was a tall, thin man with gray eyes and his hair was turning gray too. He was carrying a rifle, probably to shoot Belians with. He looked tired and sad, as he always did, but Jake could tell he was mad. When Jake came close, his father said "what are you doing here?,What are you doing with them?" His father said this in a hushed voice. "What?" Jake asked. "With the Belians! What were you thinking?" "It was wrong to just come to thier town like that and kill them" Jake protested. Jake's dad was about to argue with Jake, but then changed his mind. "I don't agree with you but, you know what, just do what you like, It's none of my buisness how you choose to ruin your life, just don't come to me when-" His father stopped and sighed. "just stay out of trouble" Jake's father turned around and walked away, towards a group of Ophillians.

Ithildae made it back to the square. She counted the people. This can't be right. No more than thirty waited there. Their town was small, but not that small. There had to be more. Where were they all? Even as she thought it, she knew she was wrong. This was it. No more were coming. She turned to Malak. "Ready?"

As soon as Ithildea Malak whispers the final word. "It should be all set now." as soon as he says that two sets of the people appear. "Now Hurry and get out of sight before they attack. All of you who want to try to stay and fight this war do so but get into the shadows and strike when they attack the images" malak lets out a sigh as a few go running off. "As long as these images are here we are invisible to them. but as soon as these images are struck thats over. As long as they don't bump into anyone they should be fine. I wish we could have gotten more."

Ithildae nodded silently. "Those men and women who want to fight probably already have their weapons. They have chosen to remain. All the children and whoever would rather leave should come with me now." she said, keeping her voice just loud enough to be heard. The children clustered around, followed by a few adults. "Malak, could you stay with the fighters? I want to lead these people to a safe place. Then I'll come back." she told him quietly.

Jake decided not to go back to the town sqare. He figured it was too late for that. Instead he sat leaning against a tree, watching his dad talking to the Ophillians. He couldn't hear what they were saying, but it seemed like his dad was in charge. Jake tried to hear them, but he was too far away. Many of the Ophillians kept glancing over to the town square, and a few people glanced over of him. Jake would quickly look away when this happened. Then, the Ophillians simply turned around and started to leave. This confused Jake very much. He stood up quickly to watch them leave. They were going back to their town. I guess they're done destroying the city Jake thought.

"I'll stay here with the fights," malak told ithildea, "I will do what ever is in my power to keep them under control and not retaliate against the ophialians." malak let out a deep breath, "one can only hope we truly do not start a war. But that hope can be lost by just one mans actions," malak said loud enough for the rest of the belians to hear.

Ithildae looked at him for a long moment. "Not start a war? Malak, you know as well as I do that it's too late for that." Then she turned and led her refugees away.

Scilence was the dominant element around Nerisaga inside her school. She was used to practising yoga to overcome the negativity strangulating her life.Calmness was only on her features but under the surface there was a volcano of thoughts and emotions. It happened long time ago.She was seven years old then.Tension between the two large nations was at its utmost. The Oplians were storming the Belian cities. They were taking over everything. They thought they were better just because the were richer. They wanted to gain more power and wealth. They were supported by an unjust superiority ideology. They just forgot anything great the Belians did to the world. Her family was moving from place to place to stay away from the Oplians invasion. Her uncle's family was taken into slavery. Her father never knew whether his brother was in their hometown or transfered to the Oplians territories. As things got tougher, her parents insisted on teaching their eldest daughter,Nerisaga-how to defend herself.Amazingly, she progressed very fast in martial arts despite her young age.In each place they passed, she learned something.Their life wasn't exactly good this way but it was certainly better before that day.The Oplians invaded a village they were just setteling in.Her family ran in the dark with other people. Her parents were very skilled at escaping now so they took her,her brother and sister and moved so fast that the rest couldn't keep up with them.Unfortunately,it is unsafe to move alone in times like this.Crime reached high numbers.Bandits from both sides were everywhere. They ran into one.Her parents faught firecely but they outnumbered them. What happened was inevitable. And she saw everything. She was too afraid and too shocked.Unfortunately, she lived.Other immigrants reached the place. The bandit took what they could carry and ran away. She traveled with people who reached the place till this town.Things then setteled down for a while. The Oplians stopped the attacks on the Belians. She grew up with people trying to blame her family's murder on the oplians but she had another opinion. When she was younger, she blamed it on the cowardness of her people. She couldn't understand why they were escaping at the first place. She blamed it on the Oplians too for sure. Then she started to realize the nature of those who slaughtered her family. So now she knows better. She blames everything on the lack of understanding. Why can't different cultures co-operate to bridge the gap between them instead of fighting eachothers? When Nerisaga reached this thought, she heard noises coming from outside. She opened her eyes and got out to see what it was about.

In the main square outside Nerisaga's school, there were many people surrounding something. She made her way through bodies to the front. There was a man with many wounds lying on the ground. He was talking with difficulty about Oplian troops invasion to a nearby town. The crowd shouted many things and excitment rose to a fever pitch.Apparently, everyone was going to help,to war.The gatherings split to get ready.she stood staring at the wounded man."The war has revived,"she thought."Aren't you coming with us?,"someone passing said ironically to her.She took a deep breath and turned back to get her horse. She knew it was hard for anyone to accept the idea of a martial art teacher who doesn't believe in wars! But that was her.She was good at this thing and did it for a living.Anyway, her philosophy didn't refuse to defend yourself and your people.

Jake took a deep breath. The Ophillians were gone. The Belians might not have seen them leave, so Jake decided to go down to the town center to let Ithildae know.

"For all we know this was just some violent outburst by drunkards," malak said to no one imperticullar, "If we can hold back on retaliation as long as we can then the war won't really start. We need to get everyone back and from a better army if there is going to be a war. i'm hoping to avoid one at all costs."

Ithildae came back, eyes blazing and hands shaking a little with anger. "I got them out all right." she told Malak flatly. "The Oplians are gone...for now." Then before he could answer, she added, "But they know that they missed some of us. I heard a couple of them telling the others that they would all return tonight."

"Well you know your town better than I or do you have a map," Malak questioned, "cause right now all we can do is defend ourself. and the best possible way to do that is ambush. So the question i want answered is where is a good place for our small group not to be seen? I would like several good locations, and possible locations they are to attack." Malak sighed with a deep in thought look on his face, why do people have to be so troublesome "Its just land really," Malak whispered, "but still there is this feel of something more going on, something that both sides aren't aware of."

Ithildae tried to smile, but she knew it failed. "I have a map I drew a few months ago." she told him. "But it's at my house. I'll go get it." She turned and headed back home.
