At first Ginerva had to recoil at the smell, shoving her gloved hand to her nose. But, then, she saw the work that had been laid before them.
"It's so... beautiful." Yes, she said it. Whether or not this dim sight held a snese of beauty for the deranged woman was debatable, but anyone within earshot would wisely be disturbed. Her eyes lit up, and watered as she refused to cover her nose any longer.
She needed to fully appreciate the effect this was having on the Islanders. Her smile broadened, and her silence was almost more disturbing than her laugh.

Jamal cursed to himself as some idiot in a clown costume suddenly took Billy off at a brisk pace and the tiger was again left to clumsily skip through the jungle again.
As he went, a distinct odor of rot started to drift to his sensitive nose and he wrinkled his maw in instinctual dislike as well as a very human expression of disgust. Ew.
Jamal kept moving with the group, waiting for those around to be distracted so he could slip in as unnoticed as possible.

Tommy has been keeping quiet, mostly due to his absolute adoration of horror movies...he's actually enjoying most of this. The rats were a bit much though...and then he saw the strange bodies hanging all around.
"Jesus...what the ********..." he shivers some, remembering his visit to the "Bodies" exhibit...plasticized remains on display...he shudders. "That's a bit much...I think."

Miller shivered slightly and nodded at F before tugging the flea man along prefering not to be alone at all, it seemed like the two of them where falling behind. "Come'on before something comes up behind us..."

Sid was, for once, paying close attention to what was around him after that last incident, not that it did him much good in the very low light. He almost brushed against one of the bodies, and when the lights came back up he jerked away. The plastic look made him reach out and poke one, he couldn't help himself. Once he confirmed that, yes, it was real, he jerked his hand back.
"Holeee ********..." he exhaled slowly. He moved back, staying very close to Alec and Billy. He wiped his hand off on his pants and, swallowing hard, kept walking. He also kept his eyes on Billy, who was far more pleasant to watch in contrast.
"Just keep moving," he said, mostly to himself. "Keep moving."

The smell was like a suffocating mask of death that attacked Alec's nostrils though he was disturbed that he couldn't tell whether the excess saliva in his mouth was due to nausea or a sudden sense of hunger. His stomach was an oddity even to himself.
"Wha... th'..." The sharkboy covered his muzzle with a sleeve to prevent his eyes from watering too much, silently wondering why the Staff couldn't just use regular decorations like normal people did. Even yet he slowly pushed onwards through the disgusting maze of flesh and fluid.

So far, so good. Walking with his eyes closed was proving successful, even though he couldn't seem to stay in a straight line no matter how hard he tried. He held the pitchfork out in front of him, waving it around like a blind man's cane to make sure he wasn't going to stumble. In doing so, he completely missed the display, though he did note at some point that the light outside of his eyelids had grown brighter. And there was a funny smell rather like Kaveri's clearing.

The smell soon hit Gallen. "Oh my god, they are real." His curiosity hit him again as he started to look closer, and then he saw what he wish he did not see. These things where not "normal" "what are they?" he said in a shaky voice. His stomach churned as he noted extra limbs, or eyes growing where eyes should not be..." Oh god they are...abominations." his legs shook

The sight of the multitude of corpses made Kikue's stomach wretch. She hadn't realized she was crying -- she tried to move through it, move through all of it and away from it. But she would not let go of Nita's hand.

Pyroth's efforts had become focused on walking and calming down his hammering heart, trying to keep his attention on the lights, following the path to wherever it would lead. However, not even the smell lingering on the air like a disease could prepare him for what awaited them in the grove.
He could only stare in horror at the twisted, malformed monstrosities around the area, indeterminate in gender, species or what state of decomposition. His world seemed to spin as his mind raced with a million possibilities. He felt the bile rise in his throat as words he'd said before echoed in his head
There but for the grace of the gods go I.
All it would have taken was one step further off of the transformation route and he would have become one of those mutated things. As it was, he had only narrowly missed it. And when he died, would he become just another freakshow horror to be thrown in the woods?
"My....god."
Was all he managed to stammer before he had to stagger over into the undergrowth and get rid of what was left in his stomach after the party.
He couldn't look back to face them, almost frantic in his sitting position, panting fearfully and shivering. The coyote was unphased by guts but this....this was just wrong, nature would never create such abominations.

Newt was clinging again, but he was also sobbing, and so Thom grit his teeth and let it slide. He had dragged Newt along, after all. And it wasn't so bad if he imagined Newt was, say, Natsumi...which was difficult, but doable. The smell assaulted him as he stepped into the clearing even before the lights rose, and the sight that greeted him was nearly enough to send him staggering backwards. However, he simply fixed his eyes on the ground and continued doggedly forward towards where the path resumed on the opposite side. Those were...undoubtably real, but it wasn't about to happen to them. No need to worry. No need to worry.

Tommy hurries ahead to catch up to Miller, F, and Richard. He lifts up his mask, showing off a grin, "Goddamn this is completely ********, eh? Can't wait for the big finale..." He says with absolutetly no fear. They're not going to do anything too extreme...they couldn't. Tommy knows they won't kill anyone...it'd be too expensive. So he's just enjoying the show.

Richard walked forward cautiously, still holding his cane like a sword, although he had lowered it somewhat. Then saw something hanging from a tree on a string.
He moved forward to see it and slowly under the dim light the detail resolved themselves.
His nose wrinkled and a sharp intake of breath when he "saw" it. Then he saw the path was covered with the revolting corpses.
"Oh my word."

Miller took one step in to the clearing and his face became pale even by his normal standards, his legs gave way and he droped to the ground hurling as the smell assualted his senses. Was this his fate? Would he end up like this instead of half animal?
