Holy CRAP, I never saw this post! X_X;; Ironically, when I finally saw this post, it turns out that I DO have job news! ...after..2 months from when you posted that.. sweatdrop

Tuesday was my first day training as a customer service representative (i.e. take phone calls all day) for Nextel, at a company called ACS who specializes in...answering phones for different companies, mostly. o.o; And our particular ACS...well...answers phones for Nextel! xd I work Tuesday through Saturday, 6-3...which means I have to get up at 4:50 in the morning. >.< Uber yuck, I know, but that schedule is only while I'm in training, which should be about 3 weeks to a month. Then I get to pick from the available schedules. ^^

Most people around here make fun of ACS because it's the only place you're guaranteed to find work, and I've heard a lot of horror stories, but y'know what? So far, in my first week, I'm loving it there. It's like, a relaxed business environment, where you actually feel like you matter even though you're one of MANY mindless phone drones. XD And guess what! LOTS of nerds there. whee So I don't feel so weird for liking nerdy things, because I guarantee there's many people that dwarf my nerdiness. 3nodding It's guud.*

I wanted to be a receptionist at a vet's office, but none of them even called me back. >.< I did get a lot of callbacks and interviews for various jobs I applied for, but I wish people would just be honest and tell you if you don't have a chance in hell at getting the job. It would make it a whole lot easier.

I understand the being bored thing though. I was out of school and with no job for about a year; having free time is nice, but there comes a point where you just want to bang your head against a wall. O.o; And I don't have a car right now either. stare Not one I can drive readily, anyway.

Driving always freaks me out too until I'm actually doing it. Then I remember that I'm actually a pretty good driver. But thinking about it beforehand freaks me out, and I don't know why. And I've been driving for about a year and a half. (Yeah, yeah, yeah...I didn't get my license until I was 18. No real reason; I just never got around to it before that. o.o; )

I still don't have mine. blaugh
